    The videos are great but would be 100% more useful if you put captions on the screen saying spanner size being used, special tool names, lubricant/material being used etc and maybe even some links to go buy the right stuff. You could even make some affiliate cash that way too jjust for being helpful. 🙂

    Guten Morgen. Danke für das Video Ich habe einen 2006er BMW E90 316i 90.000 km. Gut in Stand gehalten. Belüftete Bremsscheiben vorne sind ab Werk 22,00 mm dick. Ich möchte wissen, was die Mindestdicke der Discs ist, damit ich sie wechseln muss? Danke schön.

    i would first unscrew a bit the bolt that holds the disc before removing caliper, because nothing can hold disc better than brake when the bolt is seized, and it almost always is.

    maybe I missed it, but any torque wrenches being used? If you're going to make a how-to, do it right. But overall, good video, it shows what need to be done in what order for newbies.

    • @autodocuk

      Thank you for your feedback ! We agree that it is a rough mistake. The caliper should be hanged with a hook in order not to damage a brake hose. We will surely show it in our new videos. Best regards, Autodoc.

    DON'T USE COPPER GREASE ON GUIDE PINS !!!!! THERE MUST BE SILICONE GREASE.

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  2 роки тому

      It is important to clarify what material the brake calliper is made of.
      If your car's calliper is made of aluminium, then you cannot use copper grease, because contact corrosion of aluminium will occur (since these two metals are not good with each other.

    When you know how to do this job, you realise how poor this video is for showing novices how to do the job correctly, you don't even show how to adjust the handbrakes shoes, and other things as well that's been pointed out, but a good video to show why not to let Autodoc work on your car.

    So many bad practices here I wouldn't know where to start.
    Brake caliper should never be left to hang on its brake line, copper grease sprayed on hub face that leads directly to handbrake shoes, handbrake cable not put in to maintenance position, handbrake shoes not wound in or wound back out when disc replaced, copper grease placed on sliders, this is never copper grease and should be lm2 or equvelant, no torque wrench when replacing bolts, didn't clean handbrake shoes while there. Your meant to be a professional outfit but you are passing dangerous and bad practices to those that watch, disgusting and your mechanic didn't even have the correct size spanner when undoing the slider bolts.
