Very cool to see the operator controls for this, thanks! Local D&B had an 8-player rig up at least until the last time I visited (I'm always fearing that they'll remove it), but of course without the operator tower. Love the microphone input so the operator can MC the race...

if there is one good thing about Global VR's NASCAR game, it's that you can actually ram others without any problems. aside from that, it's no Daytona.

The deluxe version, which has a 50" screen and a "car body" for the player to sit in, was sold as a single-player unit and the first version of Daytona USA to be released. Sales of twin cabinets followed. The "Special" was released later, and was built via custom-order all the way up until around 2000, as Gameworks was expanding at the time. This 8-player unit I have was built in 1999 for Disney Quest Chicago. Specials were sold in 4 and 8 player configurations only.
Majority. This just starts a game in the normal way at the track select screen, rather than using the control tower to pre-select the track for tournament play.

There's a 4 Player Link System of this arcade in Ingoldmells, it's been there for years and is still there up to today.
