@@reverie02 in the description, there's a link to a video where I go through the queen of hatred fight, that might help you as it visually shows you what cards to use in each clash. Essentially, for the queen fight, you want to stack as much bleed as possible and use Oscar's deck to win clashes in order to drain her hp. Was there something specific that was tripping you up or was it the entire explanation in general?

Regarding the passives, the total you are giving is 7, for exmaple Sayo: 4 (Snipe) + 2 (Digging Shank) + 1 (Deep wound), but the max available is 6 (for Oscar it also totals into 7).
I don't get it..
I think that's because I did these fights at the start of Urban Nightmare, where the max is 8 points. If you're doing it in Plague then snipe --> blind fire will bring the total down to 6

My problem with Knight of Despair currently is not any of her mechanics, I can get through them just fine. My problem is the same I had with Wedge office earlier: after one successful phase all of my guys are either almost dead or almost staggered (or both), she doesn't kill me outright, she whittles me down through sheer attrition like Wedge office did.
You may be thinking "how did you beat Wedge office then?" and it honestly feels like I didn't so much "beat" them as it felt like RNG just randomly decided to let me win.
I did manage to brute force my way through Queen of Hatred with no issues though and beat her in two scenes.
If you're losing through attrition you might want to bring an extra light regen so you can cast your strong pages more often or wait until a but later when you get stronger passives
Bruh, I didn't read the mechanics for ranged attacks and didnt realize that melee dice are reused like evasion dice if they win the clash. I'll have to reread the manuals again.
Yeah the manuals aren't the greatest, fortunately it's not a common mechanic lol
Good video but I think sharpened blade's 4-6 roll is pretty bad while sky something something is better even when first die is 2-6 last one is 5-11 which can win most clashes and full stop to life is also outclasses it with 4-8 and 1 feeble. Also protection cards from kurokumo clan is quite effective against her because it lets you survive being staggered or marked(protection is calculated first then resistances so 6 roll will deal 6 damage when staggered).
Good points, but I ran sharpened blade (sb) over all of those for a few reasons. First, compared to sky clearing cut (scc) full stop to life (fstl) sb inflicts a lot more bleed due to razor strike and dark cloud (sb inflicts 9, scc and fstl inflict 6). Second, scc and fstl both only have 2 dice which makes it a bit harder to clash into the mass attack compared to sb (also for scc you need to lose the first clash to get the power which I don't like), especially since you can double cast them to get even more power, which leads into my third point. Sb boosts the power of my other slash dice, so if I'm more likely to win if I'm forced to clash with rules of the backstreets or clean up. Scattering slash (the one that gives 3 protection) is a consideration for sure, I didn't run it because it does a lot less damage than sharpened blade, and since Sayo wasn't my main clasher, I didn't need to bring protection on her. If you were less confident then I can definitely see running a 1 or 2 of in your sayo decks though!
@@AilithNix hmmm... yeah your right I completely forgot about mass attack. Clean up and rules of the backstreet is kinda default one sided for me but with sb and sayo cu is 5-10 rotb 5-11 so yeah they definitely are able to clash against range pages. Although double sb is not effective in this particular fight because of only 1 emo lvl and in your demostration video you didnt get to play double sb. Also I myself prefer sayo being clasher and it flyed over my head that Oscar is main clasher here. And fstl 1 feeble is really big in this fight but is less effective if you dont play more defensively than me so i can see why you prefer sb. Dosent sb gives 7 bleed with razor strike(2) dark cloud(2) second die (2) digging shank(1)? Or my math is wrong? if im correct scc is losing only 2 bleed and that assuming you get to play dark cloud and win with 4-6 rolls while scc being pretty reliable with 6-12 on second die(my mistake in first comment i forgot that scc's first die is blunt and second is slash). Or sb is not supposed to clash at all and just acting in support of clean up and rules of the backstreet?
@@Krivoruchka on the example video it shows to give 9 bleed, which is indeed odd so I'm testing a couple of things (right now I think digging shank triggers for the dark cloud bleed bonus as well, which would mean that the other pages need to get tested). SB can clash on the first scene, but after that it's probably best to use it to augment clean up or rules of the backstreets. I'll edit this comment once I figure out the actual bleed values of the pages and where they all come from.

I'm not gonna calculate everything for the other pages so I'll just give the ideal for both

Okay look i have problem every god damn time i get the knight of despair to her 2nd phase (the one where you deflected the swords) keeps on giving the same result (as in how much hp the abnormallity has) AND ONCE I GOT HER TO 4 HP AND THEN DIED. What am i doing wrong...

Im having aome struggle with knight of dispair, specially with the phase where you gotta deflect all swords. Any recommendations for the 3rd librarian deck? Im using meow's key page with variating attack dices
For the 2nd section, rather than specific decks you need to have certain cards. Note that all of the pages in that section are ranged, so pages with a single strong die work quite well. However, pages like Transpierce will only work on the single die page (and maybe the 3rd die page) consistently as the powerful one will be sent to the back of the dice queue. If you run copies of either shocking blow, destructive impact, or binding arms, and use them during that phase, you might see some more success. For example, a deck running 3x sparking spear, 3x clean up, 1x wait up, 2x [shocking blow/destructive impact/binding arms] on your librarians, the second phase should be relatively painless unless you get really unlucky.

I've been trying to beat the knight of despair with the tactics that you used but it just doesnt seem to work for some reason. Any tips on how to use it?
Make sure you're using the right pages to counter in phase 2, e.g transpierce can only clash into the single die page. You can also use cards like binding arms, shocking blow, or destructive impact to counter any of the phase 2 pages. Make sure you're keeping a good light and page economy, and you should mostly ignore the non-tear swords unless you're going to die.
Is low at night high at day a good replacement for wait up
No, they're not even close to equivalent, wait ups role is light regen, so if you don't have any wait up, you should use a different light regen page such as loosen up, clean up, puppet blockade, or extract fuel

Alright so about my last comment knight of despair gets really difficult because I don’t role high enough to counter knight of despairs swords on the second phase and no matter how much I tweak my defense or counter cards (game doesn’t allow me to have light either) it still doesn’t work because of my bad luck and even if I do knight of despair doesn’t get defeated and then I get staggered because I have no more light from that point :(
you need to be fairly patient with this fight, packing 4 light regen pages could be beneficial if you have the Urban Nightmare or star of the city pieces. You need to have a 1 that's stronger than 5-10, in the guide I used Transpierce, but Fleche could be used if you have nightmare pages, or Shoving Stab, Gale Kick, Castigation, and Energy Beam if you have Star of the City pages. The last 2 especially will be guaranteed to win.
In the end, you can't keep getting unlucky forever, so if it feels like you are, you may be clashing improperly, built improperly, or both.

I’m having some troubles dealing lethal damage against her, i’m using Purple Tear’s page with bottom deal, Myo’s Prowess, and the strongest along with a Miris with firm as a great mountain, skim prescript, bottom deal, and mind hauler. Lastly, a Nikolai with Fervor & energy discharge. (ok dont ask why i havent beat her yet.)
Make sure your deck is primarily pierce, but even without that you should have more than enough light regen and page draw to just brute force it without taking a single hit. There'd have to be a severe breakdown of your deckbuilding to lose if you have top tier SotC pages.

Hi, Another question: My middle Sayo has speed: 5 on the left and 4 on the right against the queen's 3 (Arcana Beats) which is targeting my 5 dice. I am trying to hit first with Dark Cloud and after that with Clean Up. But what ever order I put them in 'Clean Up' is always chosen as the clash page. What am I missing?
When selecting pages to clash that have a higher speed value than the target die, the last page inputted will be the page that clashes, so if you selected dark cloud, and then clean up, the clean up will clash with either placement. However, if you have multiple dice that are higher than the target die, if you hover kver the target die a little indicator will pop up to let you switch the clashing page around.

Purple pages have 3 copies, once you go through all the rewards or click reset rewards you can get the 3rd copy
the guide is good however i believe that showing the queen of hatred the second ammendment is far more supperior of a tactic than bleeding her to death

Fast transformation if you want to do that for some reason would have you redirect all attacks away from the marked target, having them free hit, and win every clash. If you do that then you theoretically transform her at the end of scene 2.

Not for queen of hatred, Yujins broken die is really detrimental and Tenma/Velentin's stats are too low and passives not good enough to compare with Sayo and Oscar.
Dude I literally used your exact build and still cant beat Knight of Despair even after 10+ tries. Can you go into more detail on that one please? Also, what are you saying at 3:44? Sounds something like "any card with a strong one" What does that mean?
I'll create an unlisted video and reply to your comment in a couple hours. Pertaining to my wording, I refer to the combat dice on pages by their position on the page (for example tailoring has a strong pierce on one and an average block on two)

This was probably the most scuffed fight I've ever had but I hope it provides a bit more clarity into how to beat the knight!
I used this guy's guide from Steam. It helped me immensely:
Suppose this is what i did:
1: Make sure all units are 2-speed, maybe also apply the Wedge Office's +1 pierce power effect.
2: Deck piercing damage exclusively, with the exception of say, 2 high-rollers with just a single high-rolling attack dice, that one can be any damagetype. Binding Arms is a good canidate.
I'd suggest decking everyone with: x3 Extract Fuel (Sweepers), x3 Sparking Spear (Wedge Office), x2 Binding Arms (Gaze Office) or another equivalent card. And uh, not sure. Maybe a 0-cost light-regen card like Wait Up! (Molar Office) just in case?
3: Focus all of your firepower on the blessed spear, ignore the other spears unless you can spare a card to deflect their attacks and still kill the spear in time.
4: Once the spear is down, it initiates ranged mode. Use your high-rollers here to counter all of the ranged rolls. Melee strikes reroll themselves if they win against Ranged, so it should be fine. Then deal damage to the now-exposed KoD, but be sure to keep your light high. Repeat 1 or 2 more times to win.

The strat for Knight of despair fucking sucks, melee is 100% no the way to go, also, maybe show the fight as well :)

The strategy should work basically every time unless you're unnaturally unlucky
