Thanks for watching! The goal is Mixed VR. Sominium Space looks to be the choice but I am holding off to see what 2025 will bring because I think we are going to see some healthy competition!
@theVRpilot Hi, thanks for watching! I have not. I'm still holding out for 2025 to see what it brings for mixed reality. My eyes are set on the Somnium but it's the 1st year release of the VR-1 and I know many improvements will be coming to the unit. I tend to wait a bit when new tech is first released.
@LimitlessHorizonVRSimrigs Thank you for watching and the comment! I have alot of videos planned. I just started focusing on the H145 and my build. If you have any questions I'm happy to help. Spread the word! Thank you!
@TheBishopOfBarton The channel will get there. I'm in no rush, I'm having fun helping the community and overtime it will grow. Thank you for the support!
Really nice setup 👍. I have servo motors (VPforce kits) on my anti-torque pedals, cyclic and collective. This enables me to adjust all forces(damper/inertia/friction/etc) + Numerous Feedback data in software. All the best.
@seattime4075 Hi and thank you for watching! That's excellent to here about the servos! Currently I now have the moza base and really enjoy it. The force trim support is coming in November. Is your equipment moving when using the AP and when you beep trim? Would really like to see a vid on that!
wowowowow.... mechanized collective? That adds a 4-axis stationary flight, just like the real thing! you hit the gtc-h button on a forward flight and it will stop your flight completely and fly stationary. That of course will require more power (collective), so the fourth axis will pull the collective up for you for the required power (stationary flight out of ground effect will requiere more power than forward flight).
@adsilite Thank for watching and providing info on how the controls work in the real heli. Your input and first hand knowledge is very much appreciated!
Love to see where you progress with this. Subscribed. Can you tell me more about the cabinet on the op left of the screen? I am getting a motion pit soon and that would be great to hide away all the power boxes! Thanks!
@theVRpilot Hi again! Thank you for the sub! I'm pretty far along, take a look at the latest vids. So the cabinet you see is actually for my guitar music recording. I picked it up from sweetwater music. I use the power conditioner to feed the power to the PC and remaining electronics. My rs mega drives etc are behind the sim. That I mounted on some extruded aluminum. They are secured and I prefer not to place them in a cabinet and allow the heat syncs to dissipate the heat to increase the life expectancy of the drives. What rig are you getting?
@@anto687 Thank you for watching! I agree. I'm looking into sominium space mixed vr but holding out because I think more vr headsets are going to hit the market in 2025.
@cptairwolf H145 landed in my office lol. No projection, the plan is mixed reality VR. 2025 is going to be a good year. I need to see how sominium space does with their unit as people start receiving their shipments. Thanks for watching and the message!
Hi bro, found your channel link on Hype Discord. Thumbs up 👍 amazing videos you have and your rig looks fantastic. I am very interested how you find a solution for the Moza FFB. I have this base, using with a thrustmaster F16 stick, but get absolutely no FFB feeling (in opposite of the DCS apache, which is unbelievable with FFB). Don’t know if it’s a Moza Preset problem or a HYPE software thing. Will see..the Moza AB9 is fresh but has a big potential for the future. How you maked this touch screen with the PM750 ? Handclaps for you work 👏👍
@_zeranom Hi, thanks for watching and thank you for the awesome compliments. The Moza I am recessing into my floor. The plate I made arrives tomorrow. There is a sneak peek on it in my shoes videos. Moza just released a partial hardware trim. I have the beep trim working and the trim release but the stick does not stay in postion physically. It also does not unload the force. I didn't have this issue with the rhino or the Brunner but the moza flight support discord is quite active and was assured they will have it working I guess in November. They will move quick. Moza is a great company and they much planned for helis. I took my moza apart yesterday and soldered a remote switch in parallel to the moza board because mine being in the floor I can't press the button unless I raise the platform and go underneath. As for the GTN I have a video on how to make the touch operation work on my video about the ms fs pop out manager. I go through the steps. The GTN is from ESC cockpits.
@PredictiveDynamics-AI Hi, thank you for watching! I've been using X-Plane for years. I generally jump between sims. Austin is a great person full of knowledge and I appreciate his passion. Do you use X-Plane as well?
@@Rotor-Sims I have typically used XP yeah, flight schools tend to use it more in Canada because it can be certified for flight training. I’ve made an ai instructor, and wanted to start developing helicopter maneuvers, need some test pilots! If you’re interested.
@PredictiveDynamics-AI Understood, I'm not a real H145 pilot. I piloted back in the day on single engine aircraft but not helis. I plan to go into real heli flying when I retire early. Keep me updated on your project, sounds interesting!
when you were showcasing the calibration, i was noticing a small delay between your inputs IRL and the inputs reflecting on screen. Is there any noticeable input latency? Or is that just a slight misalignment in timelines while editing?
Hi, thanks for watching and comment. It was time line related for editing because I have try and sync the video from the go pro to the screen recording software. IRL the controls do not have any noticeable latency.
@@Rotor-Sims great to hear! And I know timing two different scenes up to the frame is daunting so definitely wasn't knocking your editing. Keep up the good work and enjoy your new device!
@disaster2master I appreciate the question. I would want to know if there is input lag if I was considering getting some controls. I'm definitely not a pro editor by any means but I enjoy bringing what I can to the community and this H145 build is quite awesome. I can't wait to start releasing build and flying tutorial vids based on a different perspective from within a physical sim. Thanks again!
I flew in an EC130 and it's hard to compare to real flight. For sims it does provide a higher sense of immersion but I think in VR the motion will feel more produced as the brain is being tricked. If someone is going to go the conventional route with projectors it would be better to have a 6 dof system. Just my thoughts, thanks for the message!
@derkas13 That's great news! Mine is one the way. I had the Rhino and though good it needs just a touch more force. I made a custom plate to drop the moza in the floor and adapters are on the way from Max Flight. I will make a video on the floor modification and install.
@derkas13 I'd love to see a video of that! The Robinson has quite a long handle but if there is enough force that's idea for a two person setup with one FFB base
@hoimi2809 ESC Cockpits. The stock ones are good but I am going to capture the look, feel and function by using switches that a extremely close to the real helicopter. These same type of switches can be used in any home cockpit.
all you need is a much larger triple monitor and a pov cam (head mounted) and you all set.
great channel.
keep it up.
