That machine is definitely worth fixing in my opinion.

I can’t believe it cranked right up like that! What a machine! The ones built today won’t sit for 10 years and fire when they’re 50 years old.

I like how effortlessly she came alive, they don’t make them like this anymore. Great video!

That is one big kitty! You just can't keep down the old iron. CAT made some amazing engines back then.

What an amazing machine to fire up that fast sitting for 10 years. Are you going to fix the transmission? Make some good content for future videos.

That started up fast as a new car kind of amazing You must have gone through Tested the starter primed it I'm guessing you did all that before but it sure did start up fast faster in my new truck She's a nice old cat

My first dozer I ever bought was a D9g, 66a9560. Man did that machine move dirt, too bad it broke down often and at the time it was just too expensive for me to operate. Now, 16yrs later, I'm looking at buying it back just a yard machine.

Buddy has two of these with blades here in Kansas City.
Make offer but don't forget- you gotta figure out the logistics of getting them to your place.
(Lol - you COULD JUST DRIVE THEM !)(It's not you need roads or anything - just make your own !)

10 years or 10 months? Tracks don't move like that after 10 years. Its a gem for sure though. Would love to have it.

Diesels are very forgiving. As long as there are no air or water in the fuel system they will usually fire right up after years of sitting dormant.

Next time you start a d9g when it starts step on both steering breaks and slip it in gear for a split second intill you feel the breaks push back aginst your feet an old mechanic named Herold Parker taught me that

Is your shop near the McClymonds yard at US 422 & I 79? I watched several of your videos and noticed several McClymonds trucks. I'm only about 15 minutes from the yard.
