About the only thing she has in common with the case is her use of "like" and vocal fry. Her desire for attention by attaching herself to a brutal series of murders is particularly disturbing. Far too many people have done this in regards to Chris Watts and one wonders about their levels of narcissism. Thank you, Martin, for analysing this interview and exposing her disingenuousness.
It’s insanely uncomfortable thinking about how people get off to doing these things. A sane mind can’t even begin to comprehend the many aspects to this complexity..

I have heard detectives say that they can talk to these SHs because they are doing it for the victim and the victims family. They have them uppermost in their mind and don’t want to mess up the case for their sake.

Is that what that is? Weird that anyone would want that to be their claim to fame. Why not pretend to have a hook up with someone cool, like a movie star, if its going to be a lie. It wouldn't get sympathy because she wasn't the victim, it wouldn't impact her life in any way, other than embarrassing. Its not like she had any information to share.

HA! I love how the interrogator says “no, im not looking at you, any criminal, names you have as a witness...” as he changes his chair/sitting position to a direct one symbolizing a confrontational stance.
Seems obvious to me. Her ex-husband left her. She wanted attention to make herself seem more appealing by expressing this imaginary ordeal. It’s why she specifically tried to tether CW to her ex-husband with the company name drop. She probably secretly hoped she would make the news and her ex would reach out to her. Whether it was to try to get him back or try to reel him in so she could reject him for revenge, I don’t know. Either way, she’s lying.
I think she just wants the world to notice her and celebrate her because she feels deserves that but doesn’t have it. The problem is she has nothing to offer and there’s nothing remarkable about her and this was the only thing she could come up with,that’s just my opinion of course. It’s really sad but not that surprising anymore and I don’t think it would’ve happened 25 years ago,the phenomenon of being famous for no reason and that being something to aspire to didn’t exist yet. The world has to be really stupid before that kind of thing happens and here we are,the conditions are perfect for something this ridiculous to be real

As a teacher (middle and high school English), I don't know how to tell the difference between a person like this delaying/creating answers and just having a pitiful vocabulary. There are kids who can talk a blue-streak and actually say nothing. I asked a group of freshmen several years ago, on the first day of class, "Would anyone like to tell the class and me about what you did this summer?" A girl who was 14, raised her hand and said, while looking around for increased attention. I called on her. She said, "So, I like, I'm, you know, I [giggle giggle, looked around to be sure she had attention] just, I'm, you know. It was just....so just...so, yeah," and she was done. That was her account if her summer.
She actually raised her hand to say that. She was called on, and said a whole pile of nothing.
Was she was lying? No, she was a teenager girl who thought acting brainless was cute. It wasn't even slightly cute. It was obnoxious.

I didn't know extremely brief narratives were unusual in truthful statements. I thought it was the opposite. I generally assume people are truthful though so I can be easy to fool. I'm working on it. Your videos help!

Watts truck was not allowed to be used for social activities outside of work hours.....it was monitored by his GPS system and the supervisors did check those GPS systems regularly. They would know if he parked at a Chick Filet for any length of time. Thats why Watts drove Shananns Lexus to NKs house and they went out from there in her vehicle.
He paid $70/month to be able to use the truck for personal use. But, I agree, this woman is full of it.

Thank you Martin Decoder for all these great videos. I have several books on Statement analysis, but you go into fast more detail about it all. I can't seem to find a book on CA. I really liked when you pointed out how the detective made a statement (but with the feeling of a question mark after it). So although he didn't ask a question per se, he did make it "her turn to talk". I love learning these things. 👍

Hey Martin 💙 Have you listened to the Trent guy's interview, the young man who came forward claiming that he'd had a sexual based affair with CW behind Shannan's back??
This interview and his interview sound extremely similar and "coached"... They both also have links to NK... Imo, these people have been paid and coached (by who, I'm not sure but I have a few guesses), to either discredit CW or deflect away from a possible investigation into NK... This is just my opinion and I have no hard facts to back my opinion up... Apparently the "99%" sure" line is to get themselves out of being called as a court witness...As is threatening to get a lawyer to scare the Investigator into worrying they might stop talking... I don't know anything about USA law as I'm an Australian, but both interviews are so similar in details and strategy that it just can't be a coincidence... Just an intuitive hunch lol

It reminds me of Nichol Kessinger when she lies. The "um", the pauses, the mumbled sentences and not being specific about anything. However, Amanda McMahon's story is a lie from the beginning til the end. I have no idea why anyone wants to come forward with such a lie. Is it because she wants to be famous? It's the same with Trent Bolt. His account sounds similar to hers and in describing the pickup truck, van or whatever they call it, they do tell the same colour. The wrong colour. Let us just say that they both tell the truth, then I feel very sorry for them because it all comes out like huge lies. I don't believe either of them and they are wasting the investigators time. And I just can't understand why.

Because that's the only place they would meet people who are not connected to them or their friends or family. Since they don't go out on a limb in real life, they can use a screen to hide behind and hide their tryst. I mean, literally NK was from work, and they met over email. So he already has a pattern of meeting people online in contexts outside of his close friends and family.

Sorry these kinda questions drive me crazy though I know you simply don’t understand but maybe I can help. I’m an extrovert my roommate/best friend is and introvert. We both were on tinder, we both met fellas, we both went on dates. One night she dropped me off at mine, went to hers and an hour into the evening I gave the code to “need out of here ASAP”. Her date bought me an Uber to come hang with them to get me out of the situation that was in. Dude lied about everything and then took me clear across the PHX valley where I didn’t say I was gonna be. We keep it public and we share our locations all the time. Living with an introvert has taught me a lot. They are no different other than approaching situations differently. For her it’s hard to talk to people in public for me it’s not. I asked her this very question once and She told me that actually it’s easier online cause less pressure to hold a conversation than in person. One time I was on a date and she was with me actually haha, and we played a game at the restaurant/bar place we were at where we had to go talk to someone anyone and learn 3 interesting things about that person. I only came up with this game for her to be able to approach people easier. By the end of the evening we had almost everyone at our table talking with us. It wasn’t about sex, dating, anything other than 3 interesting facts about other humans around us. We still live together and now she has a brand new baby plus her two kids from a previous marriage. She puts headphones in at the gym and is in her own world whereas I where half my headphones to listen to the world around me as well. Being an introvert only makes it harder to talk to people in public. Online it’s so much easier for her. She is with her last Tinder date though and so am I.
I don't believe he is an introvert. He likes to appear like one. Those with this dangerous personality disorder like to lurk in the background always scheming and looking for ways to get their Narcissistic supply. They lie in wait to take advantage but always appearing as the "good guy" who helps everyone out and gives points to those who support his facade. They see how they appear as most important and cannot bear being disliked and if anybody sees him with his "mask" down he will do all he can to see that person suffer and discredit them. This is who they really are. Everything I cherished was taken by this cunning type, just for sport, just for his pleasure. My life has been completely destroyed. True story.

I've been around narcissists all of my life, my mother and sister. I was considered the black sheep. When I stopped caring and stayed away from them was when I gained some peace, though the pain persists. My ex husband was one as well. I finally realised that until I was in better shape it was wiser for me not to get involved with people.

First off, it is extraordinary how much information you can pack into 24 minutes! It is genuinely impressive. Without this type of forensic analysis, LE would have a much more difficult task of weeding through the reliable and unreliable witnesses. What was she thinking? I'm embarrassed for her, but am definitely more sympathetic to the investigator who has much more important work to do than listen to this drivel. I'm no psychologist but some people will do almost anything for attention. This also applies to people who confess to crimes they didn't commit. They all have one thing in common; they're all desperate for attention, even if it's in the form of negative. IMO.
He's not a serial killer, he's a family annihilator. Big difference. But yeah, I can't fathom wanting to be involved in a case like this if I didn't absolutely have to be. She seriously needs help.
Why is she asking for a lawyer? Even if this was true, how does having a hookup incriminate her in any way? If she thought that their hookup was him practising to see if he could kill. She doesn't sound that worried about it. She doesn't suggest that could be the reason she chatted to them. Suggesting they check to see if any Tinder dates with that profile went missing, was he a serial killer. She hasn't given any reason why she thought mentioning her one night stand was important to the case.
