We do appreciate Brian's participation in the videos. Enjoy Jeff as well. (Kinda wish he had called Brian's bluff). Cole, this is one of the best farming channels on UA-cam because of the cast and content you've put together. Honest, informative, and entertaining.
He doesn't do it for us.....Brian deep down inside love to do the videos. You can see it. He enjoys knowing he's touching people's lives and people are appreciative of it. Thank Brian. Without you..we wouldn't have had Cole to make this channel for you. Haha
Brian, I am absolutely one of the "you people" Cole referred to who loves the content you two put out. I especially love it when you share old stories like the ones you shared today. You guys are a real treat and I wish more families were able to connect they way yours does.
Love watching the two of you work together and listening to your dad and the song of the day doesn't get much better than that especially when your my father passed away 5 years ago and didn't tell us he was sick and I was in the hospital when he passed away 5 years ago and a year later my mom passed away so it's just my brother and I. And you look back in life and you wonder why you fought all the time, which now you know it was stupid for doing it. I love this channel watching father and son working together farming together, I wish I could of had it that way.
Thanks Brian for the history lesson. It’s amazing how a kindness done by the Jenson family probably changed so many lives down through the generations! Got a good laugh out of your remark, “cows can’t eat fence posts or snow”, that’s a good one! Sure good of you to give Cole time for projects at home!
Cole and Brian - it's so much fun watching your banter, Cole I hope you realize just how lucky you are working with your Dad and having such a great relationship. Treasure these days for sure!!!
Really liked that Family history you gave us, wish I knew more about mine too now looking back, the people that had the answers are gone and I didn't know what to ask back then. Thank you very much for the time and looking forward to everything Cole described that is upcoming as the seasons progress. Loved that smell his finger bit!! I've done that on both sides I don't know how many times! Brian, were you and Jeff competitive when you were young? I know I wouldn't want to wrestle with him either at this point in life, or maybe ever!
Dad's a good old soul, enjoy hearing history of farming. Cole it was good to see you had the proper supervision while cleaning the water tank. No doubt the girls appreciated the work while checking out your behind.
You guys are very kind to those critters taking the time and effort to clean out their water source...a small thing but indicative of your fine stewardship. It looks like they appreciate such things in their own simple ways (eye contact maybe).
I appreciate the Brian time, and the Family history portion as well. Cole this might not top out but it is definitely my favorite video so far and I've traveled back in time to watch them all during my recovery times between medical issues. Keep up the grind and I'll keep watching and sharing your videos. GOD BLESS
This Video is One for the Archives❣️ how very fortunate we all are, Brian, that you shared your family story with us. I am very touched and honored do you learn your family‘s history and all that does is make me admire you and your brother and your son that much more for hanging on to the farm, especially this year that’s been so difficult without rain and that you went out and harvested and bailed the hay & were so grateful for every single bell knowing it would help to get you through the winter. It puts a whole different light on what farming really means to why you do what you do and everything you do becomes so important in the success of the farm. I am just overwhelmed and I think partly it’s because my family we’re farmers who came from England with Percheron horses and Morgan horses and apple seedlings, Who is my grandfather knowing that those items would help to build and pay for his farm and he built 10 farms in Central Iowa they were quite large. Anyway my Parents are Both gone, and my Grandparents are gone, & my wonderful Great- Grandpa & Grandma just started it all are gone but the hard-working, where are you teaching I love goes beyond the land I have learned. We are no 4+ generations past my parents which means seven generations of the man who came to America and believed in the farming life and we were so fortunate to have his vision and his passion for the land, as well as many years of joy on that farm. It was a sad day 20 years ago when my Grandfather, at the age of 97 & My Grandma, age 95, Were moved into the nursing home After my lumberjack strong grandfather fell out of a tree trying to remove a branch growing over the corner of the house. It was my aunt who had no love for the land and executor of the estate, who sold Our Family Land & it was a Distressing day when that happened but even more so when we drove by and saw the new owner had bulldozed down every Cattlebarn and beautiful horse barns, every building on that land including grandma and grandpa‘s home until everything was flattened and it was if they never were there. Don’t ever let that happen to your farm ever. Don’t trust the people you think you can and let one person be in charge of something as important as your family land and farm. My dad was working for farms and raising a family of 12 children and building a life and a business on the side for himself in the future of his family and didn’t want any part of paperwork but he said later had he known what his Sister would do just for a bigger gold & diamond ring on her finger, He would have slowed down His Work, & Stopped to Do as His Father asked, “ pprotect the land from government and others (including family).” It is so wonderful to see brothers and father and son farming together and loving it. Many people don’t understand why we work as hard as we do but I have truly enjoyed watching Sonne Farms Family working together and loving what they do it’s such a successful rate even through droughts❣️❣️❣️❣️ Great song is a day by the way ... doesn’t get much better than CCR😇♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
😆🤣 omg, YES! the baby bales! those elusive, well protected and hidden little bundles.... ha ha ha!! Loved hearing all the history of your family. Im getting my chance to do some of that this week with my grandchildren here visiting. Telling the old stories was just what you did in my day. We talked! Nobody buried in their phone or computer... we talked as our "entertainment." So what a good time to share right? Out feeding the cattle and pigs, messing with baby chickens and baby piglets... and sharing the old stories. What a great life. 🥰
As you were going by the couple of trees near the beginning of the video, I actually wondered why those trees were there. Usually I figured that it could have been on old farmyard. . . . then you mentioned that you recalled an old house being there. 😊 Back in 2006, an uncle held his farm auction. In his closing remarks before they had a special event, he mentioned that he had taken over 5 farms in his day. Those farms were reverted back to parts of his fields. . . . then he showed a bit of emotion. . . . He said, "It is my turn now."
I enjoy the family history Brian, thanks for sharing. This is how we told stories too on our farm in New England. My pepe (french) grandfathers house was 200 years old and we still had the 5 foot saw blade. He told the story when the saw blade came off the saw and went up the 1/4 mile field and hit the side of the house and stuck in...What a story...
Thanks for the family history lesson. Having a sense of your history, your ancestor’s struggles, makes us want to honor their efforts by working that much harder.
Absolutely love hearing the history of the family. Cole needs to listen to all the stories. I am envious of the father/son relationship. You are a lucky man Cole!!
Watching your, your Dad and Uncle is what a true family farm looks like. It is very reminiscent of my younger days on the farm. The family history was really interesting.
Thanks Brian for sharing the history of your family. Great to see Jeff, he looks like he's doing well. Cole thanks for all you do on your channel, always a pleasure. I hope everyone has a great weekend.👋🚜
Thank You for your family history talk. Very interesting. We all need to know our family history. Thank You for sharing your family videos with us all. 🤗
I enjoyed hearing Brian talk about the Sonne family history, reminds me of our family history. I often think of all the hard work and hardship the past generations survived and how lucky I’ve been to be a part of that history now.
I liked the family history of how your family came to South Dakota. My mom and her family settled in Platte and a cousin still farms the land. We owe a lot to all the farmers and hope and pray for good crops this year with all the up and down weather.
Cole shakes the nozzle and says, "can't waste a drop" as the last drop goes on the ground. lol I hope "you people" have a bountiful harvest starting in a few weeks.
Brian - your family is the salt of the earth! Farmers are what America stands for. Glad you appreciate where you came from. So much depended on the hard working women behind their man.
Thanks Brain for family history, neat to here the roots of our farming families in your part of the country. Small communities long here in a way. Cole love your speedy hand ratchet haven’t seen one of those in while. Sure hope y’all keep getting some rain in August. Thanks SONNES!!!
Loved the "smell my finger" moment. I could see a similar interaction between my son and myself happening. I enjoy the "Brain time". I think we need more "Jeff time" as well. I look forward to the Friday Night Fights parody that probably awaits us. The Office Space re-enactment awhile back was Classic!
Enjoyed the Sonne history lesson on the farm look forward to a new video that you release your content is always entertaining good blessings to you and your family
Brian I'm new to the channel ,I happen to really love history, everyone's life is interesting to me. Thanks sharing your rich history on your farm. It sure seems like you guys have all the needed implements and tools that make farming barrable these days. I sure hat e to see the farming way of life come up missing more and more each year as Farmers have a tough time making it. God Bless the Farmer.
Thanks for a absolutely dynamic video Brian and Cole. It was so interesting and enjoyable with the history input. BRIAN: so many thank you’s for doing the history of your family and the farm. That was so interesting!!!! Wow. History is value and your family has a lot to be proud of. And the Storla Station input was so enjoy. We had a very small general store we went to so we could watch a movie on the side of the building. I can easily see why keeping Storla Station was important to you to keep it going. Heartfelt thanks Brian for the family and farm history rundown. So enjoyable!!!!!! Brian and Jeff wrestling- - have to see that some time. Bet that means as kids you two did a lot of that. Good family you are. Good job on the watering machine. Most would never think of that. You take excellent care of your herd. I notice a lot that most of the herd is at ease around you and your dad. That is because of the fine care you give them. Brian. Super super song of the day. Great music and words. Listened to that a lot. Great group. Really enjoy the Cole and Brian and Jeff relationship banter between you all. Close net family for sure. I consider it an honor to know all of you thru your videos. And I SINCERELY mean that. About it for now. I will be quiet for a change. You all take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything Sonne’s!!!! The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Brian, loved hearing your family history. I know a little about my husbands Sioux Falls family history. It’s his Mom’s side. She met his Dad when he was a Drill Sergeant in the Army. She worked in a drug store in Sioux Falls and she actually was a Rosie the Riveter during WW II in SD, he came in and one thing led to another and they married and he brought her to Abilene, Texas where my husband was born. One of her brothers worked for the railroad and her father was a barber in SF. We have all his old barber tools. I harassed my mother-in-law about her Yankee accent which several words she passed down to my husband. I’m like what did you say? He tells me…you know what I mean!! I should really be talking with this southern Texas accent!! When we went on vacation to Deadwood, Mt Rushmore and Custer State Park we planned to go back to Sioux Falls but never made it. My MIL always was just fascinated when I made iced tea. She wanted to know how I got it to taste so good and it be so pretty and clear. Brew it on the stove and let it steep and use good water. I learned real quick why she was fascinated! First restaurant we went into I ordered iced tea and my husband LET me! It was kinda dark in the restaurant so I thought they’d brought me a Coke so I wasn’t going to bother sending it back. One sip and I realized it was the strongest most bitter lemon flavored instant tea I’d ever had! I almost spit it all over my husband who comes back with…oh, I forgot to warn you about the tea!!! Jerk!! I then got why my MIL loved my tea so much! I miss that woman so much. We had so much fun together. I think now all he has are cousins in SF. My history is easy …….Native Texan. Ya’ll have a good day “you guys” stay out of trouble!😂😜
Thanks Brian and Cole for all you do and helping folks like me relive my youth growing up on a farm (in Delaware) grandpa was a Holstein breeder and when he passed, dad took over the farm and we switched to grain farming. I'm relearning some things that I forgot (or too young to remember) about cattle farming
I’m happy to be a you people what a great time I have . Great song of the day I play CCR while plowing snow keeps me smiling. I also enjoy listening to Bad Company both very easy to sing along with when I’m alone lol thanks guys keep it up
The family history was very interesting, nice to know how people got started in farming.I know why you wore gloves while cleaning the cow water,we had raised hogs for 30 years and remember how that awful smell would stay on your hands...almost as bad as stepping in rotten soybeans(nasty).Hard and dirty work being a farmer;but would not of traded it for the world......
I love every single one of your vids, they’re always great. Every once in a while one comes along that’s super great, and this was one of them. So much fun watching you all banter with each other!
Just imagine leaving everything you know, boarding a ship, and going to a country where you don’t know the language but with hope for a better life and not much more. My Swedish ancestors did it. Thanks for sharing, Brian.
Always a good video when Jeff is in all videos are great Jeff makes them better cuz he’s so dedicated to family I have 2 brother that only care about they selves stay safe and healthy my friends
My in laws are Jensens. Danish all the way. So we have that in common. That side of the family are bridge builders. I'm absolutely one of the " you people" and watch all your videos. You guys are great.
Aww Brian you’re fab! I love listening to your stories and little pearls of wisdom! I think I would even pay to see you and Jeff wrestling like little brothers do 😂 thanks for sharing, oh and Cole make sure you don’t get Tiff to sniff that finger! Funniest out for ages xxx
Brian you did a great job. I loved the family background of the farm. A few years ago a family member did some research on my Mother's family. We found the documents from Ellis Island that showed that they emigrated here from Norway in 1904. It was amazing to see the names & the towns they came from. That led us to actually meeting relatives from Norway when they came here for a visit. We also found out that the original family farmstead still stands near Oslo. I haven't been there yet but hope to get there soon. Love your videos & watch every one of them.
It’s great to see you work together so we’ll keep it real that’s what makes this channel great love the you people and your dads reaction that includes you to Jeff
Lol Jeff and Brian smack down 😂 thanks Brian for the history very interesting and I think the movie on storla would been the thing to look forward to as a kid good memories for sure Thanks for sharing always love watching
You sure know how to pick good songs Brian! Sad day for me, my mom in law passed onto heaven 😥. Brian, Cole and Jeff are my solace today, Thank you! By the way my name is Brian as well 😏
I really appreciate you two! I’m very thankful you take the time and drag that camera around with you while you work it’s very informative and I just enjoy watching what you guys do everyday
Nice history, I relate to that story of watching free movies on summer nights while the parents shop. Now the town has only one place open in the evenings, the bar, place has kept open for well over a 125 years so far, hosts a lot of class reunions. My grand parents are buried in Madison, South Dakota, started out in Ireland, then Sheldon, Iowa and ended up in South Dakota. Nice history lesson, people need to tell the next generation as well as they need to listen.
Really enjoyed the family history story. Please do more such videos. I’m a big Brian fan becayi see how hard he has worked to make a life for his family. So proud of Coke for stepyip to continue the family legacy. Always look forwayto your next videos. God bless you all
Great vid again and interesting to hear your family history.Whilst doing some WW1 research I actually came across the name Sonne and always wondered had you relatives who fought. It is amazing how families left Europe to settle in far of places then when war broke out immediately signed up and returned to Europe and many died there. We need to remember their bravery and sacrifice.
We do appreciate Brian's participation in the videos. Enjoy Jeff as well. (Kinda wish he had called Brian's bluff). Cole, this is one of the best farming channels on UA-cam because of the cast and content you've put together. Honest, informative, and entertaining.
What is Brian bluffing about?
He doesn't do it for us.....Brian deep down inside love to do the videos. You can see it. He enjoys knowing he's touching people's lives and people are appreciative of it.
Thank Brian. Without you..we wouldn't have had Cole to make this channel for you. Haha
lol true
Brian, I am absolutely one of the "you people" Cole referred to who loves the content you two put out. I especially love it when you share old stories like the ones you shared today. You guys are a real treat and I wish more families were able to connect they way yours does.
Brian and Jeff are all about what makes America great..
Really enjoyed the family and community history. The good ol’ days….
Song of the day was a classic for sure. CCR will live forever!!!!!
Great history lesson about your family. Very much enjoyed listening.
I love listening to your dad talk about the past
This video is gold for you and your family for future generations. I wished I had taped my dad when he talked about our family history 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Great to hear the history of how your family settled in South Dakota Brian.
We are 12 years apart so we werent competitive with each other really.
Thank you Brian for the content today.
Liked hearing the farming history of your family Brian ! This channel is great
Thanks so much!
Brian and Cole, thanks to "you people" I am thoroughly entertained three to four times a week. Thanks
I appreciate the Brian time, and the Family history portion as well. Cole this might not top out but it is definitely my favorite video so far and I've traveled back in time to watch them all during my recovery times between medical issues. Keep up the grind and I'll keep watching and sharing your videos. GOD BLESS

Such a nice story Brian, funny thing is, I'm from Denmark, and I've been to Bornholm for school tour :D
That finger smell at the end! 🤣🤣 That's why I always watch for the end clip. 🤣
Those Herefords sure are looking good! As stated in other posts, we definitely enjoy “Brian Cam”!
It is a very interesting Sonne family history story. People worked hard for what we have today. We need to know the history.
Jill, my husband and I also raised hogs for about 25 years and yes after I cleaned out a hog waterer the first time I wore gloves after that.
After seeing the water container Cole was cleaning the song of the day should have been, Black Water by the Doobie Brothers lol
Loved the history Brian! Another great video.
I love every single one of your vids, they’re always great. Every once in a while one comes along that’s super great, and this was one of them. So much fun watching you all banter with each other!
Big fan of Brian and Jeff. They should get a UA-cam VLOG going.
Just imagine leaving everything you know, boarding a ship, and going to a country where you don’t know the language but with hope for a better life and not much more. My Swedish ancestors did it. Thanks for sharing, Brian.

Thank you so much for sharing the story of how your family started farming in the USA.
Love your videos & watch every one of them.
yes isnt that cool?

Hello! Thanks for watching.
Wonderful story. Thank you Dad.
Nice history lesson, people need to tell the next generation as well as they need to listen.
yes its important!
Enjoyed the history of the family farm thanks Brian!

Omg… wow. Thank you for history lesson of your family. Seriously…. Thank you.
Thank you for your interest!
You are exactly right! They went back to fight for their former countries. That is exactly why many quickly signed up!
Really enjoyed hearing a little about your
family history, Brian. Your stories are always
interesting. 🙂
I grew up with the Jensen’s that had the store in Huron. We farmed east of Alpena until 74!! Enjoy your videos. Thanks Brian for your knowledge
