    Hi iNok! This brings back great memories of the Tsukiji Fish Market tour with you, it was a great time and I already want to go back to Tokyo. 😂 Remember I bought 3 bags of wasabi sesame seeds? I brought them home and let my family and friends try them and they all thought they were delicious. I'll be honest, I want to try that Unitora Kotei Emperor Rish bowl at Unitora. I will make sure to bring lots of money!
    I like that brought a special guest with you this time, Hitomi-san seems fun and charming and I would love to book a tour with her as well! Great work on the video my friends. I read that Japanese tourism is at an all time high right now, so this is a great time to keep making more videos!

    So much variety! Wow! Hitomi, your energy is great, thank you! All the best to you both, cheers! I'm sorry can you please detail the phrase you use while eating... I cannot pronounce it... I remember you said it was a buddist prayer of some sort... You say it when you finish eating... Thanks!

    Thank you very much iNok for another very good video. I am a big fan of Tsukiji market, but the last time I was there, it was so full, that in many place you had to wait for 30 minutes or much to get some food. So I am not sure if I will return. Maybe I will try the new "food street" outside of Toyosu instead. It doesnt look as authentic as Tsukiji outer market, and a bit like "Disneyland", so I dont know if I will like it. What is your opinion on it ?

    • @foodinjapan2256
      @foodinjapan2256  7 місяців тому

      Which day did you visit?? On saturday is especially crazy. However, Tsukiji Fish Makert is too famous right now so it's busy all the time so it's more like touristy spot rather than authentic tsukiji outer market as you thought 💦 I think your opinion is almost correct!!

    For purpose of eating, what time do you recommend we go? If we go on Sunday, will most stores in the market be open (for eating)? And how much cash should we bring?

    • @foodinjapan2256
      @foodinjapan2256  6 місяців тому +1

      I don't go there on Sunday so I'm not too sure😅
      Because Toyosu fish market is closed on Sunday so Tsukiji fish market is also not that busy on Sunday. It's better to visit around 9 am on Saturday!! Amount of money would be depended what thing you want to eat, if you like to have king crab or sea urchin you must bring more than 20000 YEN, if you don't eat them, 10000 YEN is enough I guess👍

    I have a question about buddhism and shinto religion: I feel that both are quite "connected", and that many japanese, who might be buddhist, will also go to a shinto shrine to worship (or shinto followers, will also go to a buddhist temple t0o worship). Is that right or totally wrong ? I hope that question is not stupid and I very much hope, that it is not offensive or respectless.

    • @foodinjapan2256
      @foodinjapan2256  7 місяців тому +1

      Yes! That's right!! Most of Japanese people go to temples and shrines! We belong to Buddhism and Shinto! We go to shrine for celebrations, and we go to temples for funerals for example.
