    Sir hindi po ba kayo nag reduction factor sa Column 70%and beam 35% at bakit

    RCDC is not designing eccentric footing even i have provided set plan limits

    hello... can you help me design my own building?

    Sir, how did you assumed 350 kN/m, 300 kN/m, and 200 kN/m. Where did you obtained theses values po?

    Hello po sir 😊 Tanong ko lng po sana, bakit po 50% yung Permissible Loss of Contact niyo po? Sana po matulungan niyo po ako. Thank you po 😊

      50 loss of contact, you are allowing footing to tilt till area of contact is 50 percent. If you dont allow to tilt then rcdc wil increase the size of footing. Its up to the designer if 50 percent is too much for him then he can adjust it lower like making it down .

    Sir, tanong lang po.. yung pag input nang values sa staad pro na Mz = 350 , 300, 200.. san po galing yan?>?

      Those values are from assumption, it is better to model footigs as elastic plates

    Hello po engr., pano po pag sagad na sagad ang column sa boundary? Magiging sagad na rin ba ang column sa footing?

    It would be easier if you use Midas nGen sir (don't confuse with Midas Gen, Midas nGen is the lastest advanced software developed by Midas, but they are still working to include all features from Midas Gen like THA, POA etc). I did the design of strap foundation in Midas nGen sir using FE analysis and the modelling is the best, and I am satisfied. Using Staad and RCDC is difficult when you are designing multiple strap foundation, like at least 2 spans both sides. Midas nGen is much much easier than Staad but it is limited to design of Mid-rise bldg. Hopefully Bentley will make a next generation of Staad software with updated modelling, analysis and design features. They should update all outdated features. We are in much advanced technology now. Midas Gen and Staad modelling is outdated, we should move to the next generation of softwares when we are ready. Tekla Structural Designer is also better. Bently should build next gen of Staad from the scratch and incorporate all features that Protastructure, Tekla, Midas Ngen have

      I have another simpler way of doing this, much more simpler by modelling the footing using plates.

      @@BARTLANTV why you do trial and error method especially in assigning moment?

    • @BARTLANTV
      @BARTLANTV  Рік тому +1

      @@mosesd2761 We dont know yet the size of footing. We can get the maximum reaction of column by considering the service load combination then that reaction divide by allowable soil bearing capacity then you can get footing size and get eventually the moment. However due to effect of sliding or overturning , some footing would be bigger than the other and can be resolved by adjusting moment.
