That talking point isn’t always the case. Some of the most intelligent people I know, especially my friends with ADHD, never shut up. My mother-in-law has a high IQ, she’s an engineer and teacher, and she could talk the whole day without taking a break. 😂😅 I think many intelligent people struggle with socialization and that’s more the cause of quietness. My partner is a great example. He is very intelligent but he was isolated growing and now he’s very quiet in social situations, unless the topic of discussion is something he loves. We’re all different 😂. Anyway, you’re absolutely right though… people who know when to be quiet and just observe and listen are definitely winning.

this quote seems dumb out of date. Who other than completely narcissistic people in general would go around acting like they know everything just because they have a PhD? This feels like something dumb people say about people who go to college. The quote is talking about such a cliché type of person you'd see in a movie.
I don't go around thinking all farmers just have sex with their animals because they have easy access to them. Why even bother saying just because you have a PhD doesn't mean you suddenly know everything, that goes without saying.
What im getting at is this chick is obviously a narcissist who is probably very good at understanding things regarding the field her PhD is in. She just so happens to equate that PhD to her overall intelligence, that doesn't mean most people who get a PhD act like her. If anything, someone who has a PhD in a certain field would know not to speak on things they have no real fundamental understanding of.
This curb style vid was made to make fun of someone who thought they were super smart because of going to college, in actuality this is just a very narcissist person being made fun of for a video on UA-cam.

He stresses the importance of self-awareness, and ultimately refuses to give up his philosophizing, as it is only through philosophy in which he can properly come to know himself-thus his famous assertion “the unexamined life is not worth living.” This refusal is what leads to his execution, of which he stoically accepts, citing that it is foolish to fear what one does not know, and that the Athenian state, in silencing their critic, are only bringing harm upon themselves.

@@servus2634 IQ can be tested for, but it's widely acknowledged that the IQ test itself is fundamentally flawed, and beyond that, something being immeasurable doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't exist. However, that isn't the case with EQ. The five fundamental elements of EQ are self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. EQ can be measured with the Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test or MSCEIT, which is scored via consensus. There's also DANVA, JACBART, STEU and STEM measurements. These use varying methods, including identifying emotional states on different pictures of human faces.
None of these are perfect, but neither are traditional IQ tests. You should do more research. Any quantification of something as intangible as the processes that occur in a human's mind is bound to be rife with flaws and errors.

@@Patt4455 I think you misunderstand my position. Standard IQ tests do not take into account the complex nature of the human intellect and its different components. They test on speed and accuracy in terms of analytical intelligence, but do not in the slightest bit measure intensive consideration/understanding or nuanced perceptive reasoning. IQ measures a *type* of intelligence but it's widely acknowledged that there are many types of intelligence, including emotional intelligence. The idea that you can measure a concept as vague and broad as "intelligence" with a singularly-scoped test like an IQ test is far-fetched. This doesn't mean IQ tests are useless or totally inaccurate, it means that they paint an incomplete picture. Testing solely on logic and pattern identification while ignoring soft skills like one's command over vocabulary or their ability to debate is a fundamental flaw in the test.
Furthermore, IQ tests don't test for thought processes, they test for results. A person could be more thorough in the number of approaches they take towards solving a problem, ultimately reach the correct conclusion, and score lower than someone who objectively solved it faster but considered less possibilities. You can't gauge the intensity of thought process, in other words, only in the end result. This is perhaps just an issue with tests themselves, though.

    ,,Tyler has lowest EQ"
Dude literally listened basically everyone criticising him, but understanding where are hey coming from and why, it didn't make him angry or emotional, but he also wasn't submissive and a defeatist, that is very hard mindset to come by, indicating pretty high EQ, he's chad.

I Agree. Is it just me who thinks that people who brag about their "EQ" use this just as an excuse for making up to their intelligence.
Oh yeah, because emotions are very important when it comes to intelligence. Look, I am empathetic which means I'm smart, because I'm KIND and listen to people.
You can score hight on EQ and be really empathetic person and still be a jerk to others, because you know what will hurt them the most.

Jordan Peterson says that psychology deosn't recognize the existence of emotional intelligence.
Tyler is smart and humble, thus he has a smalle ego which is by it's nature not fragile so he doesn't get extremely emotional easily.
