It’s amazing watching you catch the Thailand bug and living the dream , Thailand will grab you , if you can hit the krabi province you will see real paradise, it’s a pleasure to watch , keep up the good work keep us smiling ,
Excellent vlogs! Good to see you've caught the Thailand bug! it catches most who visit, such an awesome country. Thanks for sharing, look forward to your next. 👍
🤣Love your reactions. Constantly having all of your senses blown away every 5 seconds. You're like a kid discovering the world around him for the very first time when you're in Southeast Asia. Now you can see why so many Brits and other Westerners want to move to Asia.
First time I went was in 1989 and then again in 92 but after that didnt go again to 2007 when infrastruture had taken off......having not been now since 2007 its clear from video how more buildings have been constructed in the intervening 17 years....No pier lol in 1989 (or 92) you had to wade from about 30 metres from the beach so that the big ferry wouldnt get grounded on the sand....no air con then...it was a fan room but on the beach same as you 150 Baht in 1989....Vonduen beach it was called where we were
Mr Dudgie, we always used to go there for a few days at a time to escape the city. I cannot believe how much it has changed, in my day there were just a few beach resorts, with basic huts, a hole in the ground toilet, and a water trough and a bucket for the shower, they were only 150 Baht a night though. Samet was mostly a day tripper island, so at night it was very quiet with just a few people, so peaceful and relaxing after the madness of the city. I bet it is a lot more expensive now. P.S. I just searched the Kerala Coco Beach Resort and it averages 2,800 Baht a night, we could get 20 nights for that back in the good old days.
It's paradise mate, wish I could have stayed longer. Lots have changed since you were here from what you've said. I think the rooms we stayed in were about £16 per night? 🤗
Wow. Amazing. As for the small Island, Sophie and I have already put a deposit down of £200. It will be ours when we are both 396 !! We have brought our Motorhome to Mablethorpe for the week. I must say, it's very similar to where you are; NOT !!!!! Best Wishes mate from D+S. If the sun comes out tomorrow, I have the Dudgie's T shirt to wear !!!
Hiya both, great to hear from you. Wonder if we went half each, we could afford it? 🤣👌 Hope the weather treats you well for your travels and you manage to wear your Dudgies t-shirt 🤗
Have you heard about the new ride at Barry island it’s really nice and it used to be travelling never been on them but I’ve seen videos before it came to the island and it looks amazing can’t wait to get on them
Hi Steve, I have never been to that island but looks amazing, just be careful about helmets on motorbikes, it's the Thai way, but your insurance won't pay out if your in an accident and you need help, I have seen people dead on the roads in Thailand.... Really enjoying your videos of Thailand, the best that you have done and well edited. Honestly, forget about Tenerife and other places, Thailand is so cheap if you book everything yourself. 🎉
Hiya mate, Koh Samet is definitely worth a visit. It was a bit though less no using a helmet, but I was given the option? So glad you're enjoying the Vlogs 🤗
Seems they do it all over the world, I just googled the meaning (The act of delicately stacking stones embodies patience and an exquisite pursuit of equilibrium. It's a physical testament to creating harmony. Every stone symbolizes grace, whether an expression of gratitude or a heartfelt offering for someone in need) I think I'll maybe start doing the same 👋😃
Koh Samet is beautiful. Most of the small islands are stunning. Food is amazing all over Thailand. Be careful around the Soi Dogs. If you visit Wat Koh Samet temple, or any temples in Thailand, wear shorts that cover your knees.
@TheDudgies Koh Chang is one of my favourites, and a small island a short boat ride away, that's basically just for chilling out on is Koh Kood. Koh Phangan is just above Samui, and it's full moon parties are legendary, but has a wealth of cultural areas, and places to visit.
Koh samet is paradise mate enjoy,if you get chance on your travels check out Erawan falls its in Kanchanaburi ,not to far from Bangkok.. please please please dont even consider buying property or land in thailand its 51% Always in the thais hands you cant own anything. You can buy a condo usually with a 25 to 30 year lease then after that the land and condo goes back into thai hands . Ill repeat myself you can't own any property or land.
It’s lovely there we going back this November 😊

@@TheDudgies The rate back then ranged from 60-75 Baht to the pound, so that made our room around £2
Spent our honeymoon on Samet and a big group of us going back this New Year, beautiful little Island but keep It hush hush! 😆
It really is a little slice of Paradise 🤫 😄👌
Looks like a great time mate, I'm heading over to Thailand for 10 nights in November I can't wait. Nice video from Australia.

Maybe I'll try a different Island on my next visit 🤞Thanks so much for the tips! 👋😃

Check for the other beautiful island in Thailand and don't forget to bring your family with you.
I'll definitely be bringing my family back to do some other Island visits 😊👌🇹🇭
