The financial economy is based on interest is the problem. Get rid of Interest (Riba) and 90% of world will be debt free very quickly.
Capitalism is good when the system is not run by greedy, selfish people and has zero interest, but with reasonable profit margins/fees added to the input costs.
Consumerism/Materialistic desires of the majority of newer generations that do not think about saving any of their wages so end up poor every week after clubbing/smoking/drinking. Older generation made sure they saved some before they used any leftover for leisure.
These explain why Islam forbids any transactions involving interest:

@@thanasis-_- I do agree in majority of cases Capitalism is created by and run by greedy people.
      Socialism is the balance between
Capitalism/Corporate and Communism/Government (State) owned systems to provide what is best for the people which is what Islam promotes. Capitalism is making reasonable profits, without interest/tax and extortionate prices for goods and services while Education, Health, Housing, Survival Food, Military Defence is State provided funded by GDP, Zakat and Jizya so is equally provided to all citizens or slightly more to those in dire need (sick, poverty, orphans, unemployed) until they no longer are in dire need. Islam teaches us it is duty of children/relatives to look after elderly so no need for Care Homes or Pensions as Children will feed and be caregivers.
Properly implemented Islamic Law (Sharia) would solve 90% of global problems but Satan of course will not allow that to happen so Islamophobes who hate Sharia and Bad/Evil 'Muslims' prevent it.
      Sharia Law =

Murderer or gRapist will get Capital Punishment = Sharia.
Thief depending on reason = No/Less severe Punishment or Hand Chopped off = Sharia
Males and Females have right to Education = Sharia
No Mistresses, Prostitutes or Adultery = Sharia
No Sex before Marriage = Sharia
Biological Father is always Financially and all other ways responsible for their child until they reach adulthood = Sharia.
Abusive Marriage = Divorce is better for both and if need to report to police = Sharia

@@user-mm4qv6vr5z David Greaber's book Debt: The first 5000 years is great material on this subject. He explored the origins of debt and money in pre-history and the bronze and iron age. In my words, his findings were that debt is a normal human tool that we use to track value and maintain relationships with each other. But debt became weaponized when large scale warfare and large scale states became possible. If you make coins, tell people they represent *all* debt, then give your coins to your soldiers and tell people they need to give back a certain number of those coins every year as taxes, then people suddenly become very interested in giving your soldiers everything they need. Then the cycle of what he calls the military-coinage-slavery complex begins as described in the above comment.
Graeber argued that this process only slowed with the rise of spiritual religions; post-roman Christianity and Islam in the west, which told people in no uncertain terms that being a slaver/proto-capitalist was bound to lead to bad spiritual fates. This put a massive damper on the whole thing, leading to the "Dark Ages", which were "Dark" because there was little incentive to keep financial records, and lack of administrative states actually led to improvement in the lives of average people.
The cycle started again during the early industrial revolution, when technological progress led to insurmountable military advantages, and the spiritual religions transformed into dogmatic religions instead, beholden to earthly power structures. He argues that a "new enlightenment" is necessary and coming. Where we again realize that money is simply a value counter and not a value in and of itself. Systems which abuse valuation in this sense need to be held accountable by the new spiritual/political movement.

I’ve been saying for some time now that some people use the word ‘predatory’ in connection with capitalism to create the illusion that there’s a form of capitalism that isn’t inherently predatory; but in fact, capitalism doesn’t even work without the opportunity for exploitation, which is the very nature of the predator: to take advantage of, exploit or prey upon the disadvantaged, the disabled, those in need of healthcare and the financially or otherwise vulnerably handicapped. This is the reason that what the United States calls competition is rightly perceived by China as confrontation; because where there is competition, there’s always a winner and a loser and quite often more than one loser. Rightly or wrongly, however, it certainly is NOT, nor can it be seen as an effort at cooperation. The capitalist system depends on a growing economy (or profit expansion) to work properly, but the banking system is based on the creation of debt which gets back to the predatory nature of capitalism. It just doesn’t work for the common everyday people. It only works for those who are already wealthy to funnel wealth from the bottom up.

31:43 The US Dollar was taken off of the gold standard mainly because of the Vietnam War, when the US military spending was causing too much of its gold to be lost to France and Germany. I never until now made the connection between leaving the gold standard and the price of oil going up so much, but it makes sense regarding how the "petro dollar" became such a phenomenon. And of course, the USD replaced gold with US treasury bonds, which are linked to the growth of the US economy as a whole, but since the military-industrial complex takes up such a massive part of the economy itself, the world is ultimately paying for its own military encirclement. When wars are started, there's even more profit, and the whole system becomes self-reinforcing, even though this can't actually go on forever. Do I understand all this correctly?

with combination of electoral democracies that are corrupt (lobbyism = legal corruption) & leaders being voted by charm rather than actual competence and ethical examination, which can lead to populism and descend into fascism. many leaders in western electoral democracies show signs of narcissism and sociopathy. esp comparing to meritocracy, it is very apparent that the combination of capitalism and corrupt electoral democracies leads to this situation we currently see. there’s actually political systems that ensure high levels of moral integrity in the upper political leaders.

we are all in this global catastrophy but it starts with our daily lives.....simple things like not supporting cocacola monopoly products who control the global price (wto manipulation) of coca (in February there was a global windfall but no share croppers benefited from their increased market price of coca) that depreciates the price of coca for market benefit and stabilises money markets to gamble production costs when they are the ones (some countries are forced to produce and others prevented) who control markets that prevent the share cropper earning what they should in their own region. each country should have capital controls but global markets run by banks prevents this progressive action. it may just be me and you but it's the understanding and the perpetuation of that understanding that's necessary for change ....knowledge is power!

      *Remember all their names.*
But as millions of individuals, maybe *we* the people should start thinking about a different strategy.
All around the world, millions of people have finally figured out they are on the wrong side of a *100-year old imperialist war in Asia, Africa and the ME,* but they are not as connected or organized like the outside meddlers have been for 100s of years. Right from the start of this conflict centuries ago, the meddlers' strategy has been *"divide and rule",* and it has been all about OIL and outside Western CONTROL over strategic locations on the map.
Counter strategy to "divide and rule": Start pulling the rug from underneath the feet of these eternal meddlers...
*Boycott:* Much simpler than trying to remember the long loooong lists of what _not_ to buy, and for whatever specific reasons, is to try and limit what one actually _does_ buy: *buy no-name brands from small companies (addresses usually on the labels), buy local foods (farmers markets), buy locally produced or handmade items, otherwise go slightly "over-regional," or buy fair trade wherever possible.*
It is not a perfect strategy, but don't get sidelined by the whiners/finger pointers who will invariably ALWAYS show up like clockwork, trying to ridicule or nag with their dumb _"...duh but your using a smartphone, but your using oil toooo"-gotcha style_ distractions. It is not MEANT to be "perfect"...
*Methodology:* JDI and make it a _longterm lifestyle,_ not just a short-term knee-jerk "trend," because of some or other upsetting event in the news. Just boycott ALL corporations, as far as personally convenient and possible, and always remember that even if only 75% of all the people on the planet only get it right about 75% of the time, on roughly 75% of everything they buy, it will finally make a massive difference for all the causes _you_ also value. Want to bring the boys home? Do you wish to limit military actions to becoming multinational, following the principles of international law only, and independent of any corporate "interests." Do you wish to contribute to end western imperialist actions and meddling all over the world? You wish to contribute a small share to forcing Israel into a negotiated peace process? Do you wish to give small companies a better chance in the dog-eat-dog capitalist world in your country?
      Join up...
      It's free.
Nobody will ask you to sign anything.
Only once there is an impact, there will be change: because the international cross-border politically influencial well-organized rich and powerfull only REALLY start caring when their pockets start hurting...
Start unravelling the connections between the globalist elites, international big business, and lobby-friendly Washington DC, by boycotting ALL big brands.
Do not delay. Start today. 👍👋

It’s price for “democracy”. Otherwise one cannot explain why all Democratic countries have same patterns: rich become richer, poor become poorer. Yet people in those countries would rather believe better having “democracy” than having better individual lives. They vote government that would spend money on anything (Ukraine, Israel, immigrants, coups in other countries and, democracy in other countries, human rights in other countries, freedom of speech in other countries, etc) but their own people.

I hope you can get to do a show on private creditors too. I was recently reading Daniela Gabor writing about the Washington Consensus shifting to a Wall Street Consensus and how all these large private equity firms and the like have been working to shape international multilateral climate-related frameworks in their own interests, so it seems like private creditors are becoming a more and more important part of the overall picture. Thank you very much for your very informative videos and other work.

And mineral rights are moot - just ask El Salvador about a certain international agency and law that allows the direct theft, by the West, of natural resources from any sovereign country...

the "Spanish" language speaking regions are smaller than the "Portuguese" language speaking region of SOUTH AMERICA, but yet South America is called "Latin" America. 🤔
NORTH AMERICA including "canada" is a predominately English speaking population, yet it's not called "English" America 🤔. The owners of the Corporation called the U.S. continuously call that Corporation America, it's NOT. America are the Land Masses last time we all checked NOT a (particular) "country". I could go on with the clarification, however, that's not what we're here for. This was an excellent presentation; I look forward to viewing the others, thanks guys so much for sharing the wisdom. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽

What happened to the term "Underdevelopment" as used by Walter Rodney in describing the campaign of exploitation and economic strangulation that the West directed against Africa. To hear countries described as "Developing" suggests that such countries have command of their own futures, absent the kind of interference and intentional stunting of local development that any sovereign society would want. While some countries are more sovereign than others, "developing" sounds like an IMF term meant to prop up the myth of the generous West loaning money to help countries improve their standards of living, (only to see the loan receiving countries bungle everything through mismanagement and corruption. )
