Great interview. I appreciate the question about the hand feel of a fabric. Personally I love the feel of cordura and hated having an XPAC bag. Ecopak is like if cordura and xpac had a baby. That would be the perfect medium.
@@OnePakkuMan Kind of you to write. He is and wrote back to me. It just looks long but I'll listen to you. What's the best use? How tall are you/torso height? I am such a stickler for good fit. I am having a wicked hard time find packs that fit. Eg: CPL24, CHZ22 hit my back. Likely, bottom is too hard or frame sheet doesn't conform to my body - or too long and those are 18.5. Could be the bag. I def need load lifters and belt and support....
@@seechangenyc280 I’m 5’10” and fits me very comfortably. Honestly probably one of the most comfortable bags I’ve owned. The bag is equipped with load lifters and a detachable waist belt. Hope this helps.
Your opinion: you're tall. How do you think it would fit a 5'6" female with a 17" torso? I'm a stickler for fit and comfort. Not sure it can compress enough to fit my frame. How are the straps? I know Phillip is also a short guy (and I wrote to him and he was lovely). Just want to hear it from a user. The laptop compartment concerns me...Great looking bag, not for daily use for me, better for travel....does it look weird when not filled to the brim?

Philip's insights on textile and design are always top notch, love you to hear you guys geeking hard on all things carry !
I love my Alpha 31! Hands down the best bag I’ve owned.
Me too!
Hey, I'm only 5'6" with a 17" torso. You think this might be too long. Would love a user's knowledge. What do use it for the most? Many thanks.
@@seechangenyc280 no you should be fine. The creator himself I believe is 5’6”.

Hi, why not the epx400? It has higher abrasion resistance (3000 cycles vs 2000 cycles of the epx600), and the epx400 is lighter too
Good question. I will see if I can get you an answer.
From what Philip said in the video, it sounds like he wanted to go with a canvas/nylon hand feel for the Alpha, which EPX400 doesn't have.
These interviews were great, Adam. I hope you are able to get some more makers interested!
