Hi teacher Jonah! I am a Filipino born in America and I didn’t get the chance to learn bisaya from my parents when I was younger, so I’m starting now. Right now my parents are teaching me a little bit of Bisaya, but I like to continue studying it online during my free time. However, it’s really hard to find good free resources that teach Cebuano, which is why I really appreciate your channel! I like this video in particular because it really focuses on the grammar. Most cebuano resources barely teach any grammar and just state the English translations for nouns which is helpful but they’re not exactly what I am looking for. I asked my parents how to make my own sentences except they usually would say cebuano doesn’t have clear grammatical rules. But I want to continue to learn how to construct my own sentences like how you did in this video. If you can make more videos that center around sentence structure or other types of grammar that would be amazing! Again thank you for making this channel!😊
Hi, I'm wongeebernard, a very new student to Bisaya, and your lesson is exceptional. Love the order of the lesson, the written feature, the pace of the lesson, and your very clear pronunciation. Look forward to studying all of your lessons.
Been here in Dumaguete for 5 yrs, learned more from a few of your lessons than I have in the past 5 years. I try to do a lesson every morning, Thanks Jonah!!!
I just discovered your lesson and it has opened my eyes to why I have not learned Bisayn after years in Mindanao! No one could explain the Past, future, adverbs, sentence structure. Also so many speak English here it is to easy to get lazy. I am 78 years old and will start to apply your five steps each day.
I'm just starting this. I like the way you present the material. I have confess I am very slow to learn language. But I will just watch, practice and repeat 😊
You are a very good teacher madam. Sigurado matututo ako sayo nang Bisaya. Actually I already learned the most important part of learning Bisaya which is the tenses and the word UG sa first lesson pa lang. Keep up the good work and looking forward to learn more from you madam teacher. Watching from Idaho USA.
Nagkaon ko ug kan-on ganina. Naginom si Teacher Jonah ug tubig gahapon. Nagaadto ko sa lesson 11. Niadto ko sa lesson 10 ganina. Muadto ko sa lesson 12 unya. Daghang salamat, Teacher Jonah!
Hello Jonah, i have to thank you for this lesson ! I am a french married to a pinay and today i was able to make my first sentences in présent, past and futur. Nevertheless i will watch your video in three to four time as i will learn by heart the temps and vocabulary first.
Thank you Jonah for this grammar lesson. This is what i really need how to make sentences. My wife is also from Mindanao and i'am dutch. What a great lesson. Salamat po!
Salamat sa dyus , nahuman ko ug lesson karun , and I have learned that's , before the place we put sa, before the object we put ug , and before the the sabject ,if he or she , we puts si
Wow you’re a very good teacher! I’ve learn a lot from this one video … you make it so simple for me to understand. Not bolero , you are the best I’ve found. I was using Rosita Stone before but you are far better in my opinion. 😊Maraming thank you
This is extremely helpful. I've been studying with you for a little while now and I've just been memorizing the phrases for when to use "ug" and "si". I didn't really understand why they were in there. Now I do. I will go back and re-read my notes now that I understand it better. Thank you, Jonah!
I’m a new “Ber” to the class. I translated both English sentences to Bisaya successfully! Woot! Woot! I’m going surprise my fiancée in Davao cuz she doesn’t know I’m getting secret Bisaya lessons. Can you please tell me what is the meaning of Bisaya? Where did it originate? See ya next lesson. Btw… you should have a studio audience. You’re awesome! 👍🏾
This lesson taught me more than I expected, I've been living here at Lanao del Norte for the past 2 years because of my work, Thanks teacher Jonah this helps me a lot :)
Thank you very much Jonah. You're doing a great job. My wife's family are in Davao and I'll be there shortly so i appreciate the comment about what to use in Davao.
Thank you Jonah for another wonderful lesson. You have the ability to explain things so clearly and in a way it is easily understood. It is obvious you put a lot of effort into your classes and it is very much appreciated. Ber

hi tita daghang salamat kasi nag balhin ko away from Philippines so dili maayo ang akong bisaya pero kasi nag tanown ko ang imong videos murag mas maayo na!
Thank you so much po ate jonah for taking the time and effort on making all this video to help us all learn bisaya words, especially for most of us who is looking for away to learn on there speed and on there free time.... we really appreciate it all, you have no idea how much your video will help me get closer to my future father in-law as he doesn't know how to speak Tagalog that well, but i feel deep down he is trying so hard to try and communicate with me in tagalog, that's why i would like to learn bisaya
I've been all over visayas but now that I'm getting serious in learning, glad I landed in your page, had my notebook page 1 full, salamat kaayo titser! btw, when I was in cebu I used to say " plete palihug" to pay a jeepney fair, tama din ba un? un kse gamit nila lahat, hehe
Hi Jonah! Thank you so much for this video, it was super helpful! My boyfriend is from Cebu and I'm trying to learn Visaya faster than his newborn nephew. This helped me so much in my road to getting there! :)
Daghang salamat tsacher Jonah. New subscriber here. Naa ko barkada diri( not sure if my Bisaya is right hihi) Dubai from Cebu. Thats why I wanna learn more. 😊
To be honest, Bisaya is really easier than Tagalog, because in Tagalog is very flexible in sentence structures and some provinces has alot more deeper tagalog words that other tagalog-based provinces would only understand.
