Excellent reply from DIY! I can tell you can build an amp just start with a small kit and practice your soldering skills you can learn electronics as you go You can even take your project to an experienced amp tech to check your work over before using the amp. search here on youtube for Uncle Doug he is an awesome instructor He will teach you more than you can get on your own I recommend a fender 5e3 kit from mojotone good luck be careful you can do it!

@@buzzedalldrink9131 Thank you for the kind words and the reference to that kit. Soldering skills are okay. I rewire guitars and play with pedals and such, but nothing with power enough to curl your hair! So I'm cautiously optimistic in my desires to get started. I'll definitely check that kit out. Thank you, kindly!!

@@Sammywhat you will be fine if you are comfortable around electricity. Remember
always probe inside a powered up amplifier with one hand in your back pocket. Subscribe to Uncle Doug and watch everything he does for awhile. Build yourself a current limiting light bulb tester.
Easy project you will use in amp building. Great place to start. Uncle Doug and others here on youtube have videos on it. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, maybe I can help I’ve built about a dozen amplifiers from layouts I don’t totally understand everything about them but I was able to make a few nice ones and they sound great. It’s very rewarding and much cheaper than going out and buying one you can do it just be careful.

Is that a blue Sozo i see? Great sounding caps. Those and the yellow ones are the best sounding if u ask me. Well, the old round mustards are equally great
