this is what i like about pat, he sees a super mario 3 for a decent price but he doesnt bother to pick it up and resell it so somebody else can get it for their collection
Sometimes I think it's better just to spend 5 hours working and making money instead of spending 5 hours trying to find a good deal. But, I admit, it's more fun finding a deal.
Woohoo! New Flea Market Madness! And look at all of those NES... games... wha? Those prices! Are swap meet sellers starting to realize what they have? (Or worse?) It's too bad; there were some nice finds. And that SNES set was impressive, too. So, ummm... when's your first album of TV theme cover songs due out? :P Thanks for another fun video, Pat! I can't get enough of these.
CF-105 Then they should get off their lazy asses and sell them on ebay. No offense, but if people ask ebay prices or say "I can get more for it on ebay," then put it on ebay and let a real collector get it.
Omar Yaujar Dude, I went to Mexico once, and found Zelda: A Link to the Past for 25 bucks, but passed on it. Later, I saw some copies on ebay for 17 bucks.
That's Leoric from The Visionaries with the TMNT figures...and he's holding Lexor's weapon. Also loved M.A.S.K growing up as kid. Best 80's Theme song ever.
Just started watching your vids just recently, so far I get a good vibe, I'm going to look at all your videos or attempt to this whole summer vacation!!!:D
Hey Pat I was there friday the 11th. Found Turtles 4 (snes) for $6.00 and R.O.B complete with Gyromite the game in box for 65.00. You can see it in our latest retro game hunting episode. Thanks for inspiring people like us to go out and see what kind of good stuff we can find. One of these days we will run into each at the swap. ~ Goodwill Phil
So glad this was released! Great series and I almost had a heart attack at the start of the last video where he was joking about ending it :P Good stuff Pat the NES Punk
love it! next time you roll out there keep your eyes peeled for old pc's like the texas instruments ti99 4/a, the color computer, and the commodore 64, etc. classic. Did I just date myself?
Team of Rivals is a lonnnnnng book, but I think it was pretty good. If you want to learn more about Lincoln, that is one of the best books to understand him.
When you said it's like being back in 2008 hunting games, it really bummed me out. I still love game hunting/collecting but where everyone does it now it's so disheartening and expensive every time I go it seems.
Hey Pat, i love the channel and the podcast!!!! i have some growing pains cards i found a few months ago, i thought it was interesting as well. Went to the flea market today and found some great stuff!!! Thanks for the lessons!!
***** I know what you mean, I live in Germany and it's a similar situation around here. Unless you go to the really big ones, you rarely find anything.
Here in Italy you're lucky to find a playstation 1 for 10 euros! 2:36 NES games for ten dollars! A NES console for 20! I would kill to have a swap meet like that over here! My collection would be three times as big...
***** It's California! I have lived in Iowa, Colorado, California and now Nevada. None of the swap meets had near the video stuff as the California swap meets did. Remember California has Silicon Valley and was the hub for all these systems and games. Almost all of them were made in California so when it comes to finding used Cali is where it's at. I think even Pat will tell you he's had WAY more success out in California than he did in New Jersey.
***** Please don't think I'm trying to be a smart ass, but region 4 is for Video tapes, DVD's and Blue Ray Discs. For Video Games you are in the PAL region along with the UK and the rest of Europe. Nintendo actually breaks it down farther and has a PAL-A region for the UK and PAL-B for the rest of Europe. Just trying to keep down any confusion, I mean no hostility at all.
Yeah, there's definitely a crazy concentration of games and systems there. What makes it worse is that a sun-yellowed NES (without the cables!) here in Northern Ireland often doesn't sell for any less than £45 ($70). It's a complete joke! Common SNES games also often sell for around £7 ($11) and there is absolutely no haggling on the price either! The best deal that I ever got was a boxed Commodore 64 with all of the peripherals and about 20 games for £5 ($8)... and that was at a car boot sale 15 years ago.
I'm nearly 100% positive, at 9:47 that's not an "ExoSquad" figure, but a "Silverhawks" figure. Interesting video nonetheless. I should hit more flea markets...
"$2 a game? It's like being at a swap meet in 2008!" Exactly, which is why it's not as fun going to flea markets any more...At least the vintage toy scene is booming with savings!
My flea market has 2 retro game buyers and sellers The first one has games for expensive, horrible conditions, and NOT CLEANED AT ALL.. The second one has MINT condition games for really cheap but the guy is so nice!
Cool video! I'll probably watch the rest as well - is there anything you can do for future vids about the camera shake? Maybe post processing if changing the capture method isn't workable?
god I love Pat such a funny sense of humor :) and boy I wish I could call em up in Blue Shell store cause I purchased a NES system for $75 with a Zelda game that was $40 gold cart.
M.A.S.K.! A friend of mine and my cousin were way into it (UK and Ireland, so it had a certain international appeal), I was a bit too but never had the range of figures they had. A guess the reason it wasn't as popular as it perhaps should have been is the 'high concept' of people who get their powers from masks; it's a bit random and weirdly specific. And they also had vehicles that could sort of transform because Transformers had happened and the creators wanted a bit of that action too.
Like the concept, but it's hard to hear some of the dollar values the sellers are quoting. Maybe add that little cha-ching effect more often and a dollar graphic with the amount in one of the corners of the screen.
Here at my local Flea Market The T&W, you can always find good ole classic systems and games And here we only have one sort of reseller. They have been in their current booth now for over 10 years. But as far as regular people, the average price for an NES System with at least 1 controller is around 20 dollars. Games are usually 3 bucks on average. SNES are usually 20-30 dollars, games the same about 3. This is in Pensacola Florida. However I have never found any rare games. Just your average stuff.
I know I've asked this before, and defended re sellers, because I and most collectors also resell when they get the chance, but I notice that you always buy a good game when its at a good price. Of course you already have these games and or consoles. You must ebay or Amazon your extras to get more money to get more games you don't have right?
At 9:48 it says 3 TMNT & Exosquad figures, but it shows three TMNT figures and one figure from Visionaries. I believe his name was Arzon. What's up with that?
yup. that is a Visionaries toy. i always lost the hologram piece and it looked like an electric outlet on their chest. i had a lot of them, one of the great lesser known toys frm the 80s
Zack Schilling Agreed, they were fun toys. They were slightly bigger than G.I. Joe figures so I always had crossover battles. I never lost the chest pieces, but I did lose the helmets and smaller weapons.
Flea Market Madness means something different for me in Jersey. It means I get f'ing MAD because there are no good retro game choices here at the flea markets, and sometimes no retro games period! But I keep trying. $10 for Jimmy Connor Tennis sounds great to me.
Dangit, you make me want to go to our flea market tomorrow.... The only video games I've ever seen are at a reseller. Don't get me wrong; they are extremely friendly and have great prices, but I've never found games anywhere else.
the people have no idea they are being filmed.. just look at some of the "spy glasses" and unless you want to drop some money the cheap ones are obvious
I ran into a re-seller this weekend at a flea market. I was like step behind him for several vendor booths so I went around him to get ahead of him and picked up a Harvest Moon 64 cart for $5 a couple of booths down, so I was happy about that. He ended up catching back up with me at the indoor part of the flea market with a vendor who sells nothing but video games (read: eBay pricing, run for your life!). He had good deals on generic/filler X-Box/360/PS1/PS2 titles, but not much else. He had more copies of WCW/NWO World Tour for N64 than I think I've ever seen in my life. The re-seller was looking around, but after about a minute he asks the owner if he has an inventory of everything he had. Of course the guy said 'no.' If there's one thing worse than a re-seller it's a lazy re-seller.
man the prices are pretty expensive. i bought my nes this year for 15 euro's with ninja gaiden donkey kong 1 and 2 robocop and mario 3 ( all in the price included) but i have never seen nes games on flea markets since....
Hey Pat, First off, I love your videos and Yes, I had a good time at flea market madness. However, If I did have a request for these videos it would be for you(or Frank), to go bad on some of these resellers( I would love to see Frank make some of these Jerks feel stupid for trying to take advantage), and that one guy who said $40 was the lowest I would have have totally leaned into him telling him "your nuts" and why didn't you haggle with them on that Mario kart phone I would have paid 10 maybe 15 for it.... Maybe you did, who knows,, you seem like a pretty nice guy and maybe just noncontroversial in this situation.... anyways thanks for the upload and keep making these great videos.
Get Frank on the podcast!
4:11 “how you doin kid”
Jesus frank wtf lol
I love frank, "How ya doin kids...right"
Movie reviews with Frank! I would watch it.
this is what i like about pat, he sees a super mario 3 for a decent price but he doesnt bother to pick it up and resell it so somebody else can get it for their collection
Awesome! its like i'm at the flea market while i sit on the couch
Gotta love flea market madness!!! Frank is one smooth cat trying to pick up the refrigerator lady...lol.
4:40 shout out to the Hammer Dracula movies.
James Rolfe would be proud
If you made a full uncut version of your flea market adventures I would totally give you my money...
You would be bored to tears
Yeah, the edited versions are probably the only watchable versions. It would be hours of walking and sifting through crap.
@@JanoyCresvaZero *an hour or two

Keep up the heat work, Pat. I know you wanted to give up once, but YOU, got the formula down for this type of show! Thank you!
Best series on youtube!
That's Leoric from The Visionaries with the TMNT figures...and he's holding Lexor's weapon. Also loved M.A.S.K growing up as kid. Best 80's Theme song ever.

I don't think i have ever seen so much cool at a flea market in my life!
So glad this was released! Great series and I almost had a heart attack at the start of the last video where he was joking about ending it :P Good stuff Pat the NES Punk
It's fun watching a Flea Market Madness episode, then going to an actual flea market! Wish me luck! :)
I'm going to a flea market this weekend. thanks for posting these they're funny and helpful
love it! next time you roll out there keep your eyes peeled for old pc's like the texas instruments ti99 4/a, the color computer, and the commodore 64, etc. classic. Did I just date myself?
Always cool to see toys from the 80s.
I've missed flea market madness! Thanks for doing these again pat!
Drinking game: Take a shot every time Pat says "Here's" or "This"
Wonder if they could visit the hillbilly flea market in Ashland, KY, since they have a ton of games inside?
Team of Rivals is a lonnnnnng book, but I think it was pretty good. If you want to learn more about Lincoln, that is one of the best books to understand him.
I went to a garage sale a few days ago. I found an NES with 2 controllers and cords for $1, 18 NES games for $2, and a NES Advantage for 50 cents.
LUCKY!!!
Really good episode. Was like a gold mine there!
I saw those exact same Garfield glasses two week ago!
Keep these comin', pat! We're also going to need some more frank in our lives, pat!More frank is aleays good.!!
Frank wearing a Jansport backpack? Normcore confirmed.
When you said it's like being back in 2008 hunting games, it really bummed me out. I still love game hunting/collecting but where everyone does it now it's so disheartening and expensive every time I go it seems.
Nice vid! Thanks for doing these, don't get out much to hit the swap meets, but enjoy watching you guys :)
Hey Pat, i love the channel and the podcast!!!! i have some growing pains cards i found a few months ago, i thought it was interesting as well. Went to the flea market today and found some great stuff!!! Thanks for the lessons!!
These were coming out so sporadically for so long, it's good to get another one just 3 weeks after the last one was posted. Good one Pat
You bought the Love Skills book. Thank you for not disappointing me.
1:16 I have one of those garfield glasses at home.
HOLY CRAP. I GO TO THE SAME FLEA MARKET.
you should do a crossover with LGR thrifts if geographically possible
Keith Courage in alpha zones is Frank's introduction lmfao... I'm new to these videos and that's fucking epic.
Damn you have a lot of people selling games at your swap meets

I love your stuff... you'll never know how much it helped me... thank you 😊
at 8:00 - nice to see Wade Garrett survived his stabbing in roadhouse after all..
Lol Frank thinking ... ohno not Pat again with his camera :-)
I'm nearly 100% positive, at 9:47 that's not an "ExoSquad" figure, but a "Silverhawks" figure. Interesting video nonetheless. I should hit more flea markets...

Hector Leon 40$ gold cart? zelda isnt worth that much
man, it feels like these prices just keep going up; makes me glad I've decided to take a little bit of a break in collecting over the last year or so.
I really love the flea market madness theme song.
Love these videos, keep 'em coming Pat!
Magnetbox!

I'm glad you brought up the Xbox glasses, I'm thinking with some of these massive savings, you might be able to find a new camera? Ha
4:40 did you pick up the bong? or was the price too HIGH? ;)
+DJGuttah ....bruh...
+DJGuttah I have one that looks exactly like that
Man do I love these.

Pale Horse
I also had some ultimate crossover battles with my GI Joes and my brothers Star Wars figures and vehicles
"What's up with that?" Apparently, I made a mistake.
We still love ya Pat, we still pale in comparison to your knowledge of everything awesome from the 80s!!
in my times of going to the flea market, I've seen 1 nintendo 64 and it was $120. it did have 2 controllers and Mario 64, but that's outrageous
Love this series! :D Frank is cool!
I wish my local swap meet sold as many games, but sadly there is only like one or two booths with overpriced stuff
Flea Market Madness means something different for me in Jersey. It means I get f'ing MAD because there are no good retro game choices here at the flea markets, and sometimes no retro games period! But I keep trying. $10 for Jimmy Connor Tennis sounds great to me.

1:14 hey I have that mug!
some video recording glasses would make this a lot less motion sickness inducing
They are pretty obvious and make people nervous
its hidden and the size of a pin hole..
the people have no idea they are being filmed.. just look at some of the "spy glasses" and unless you want to drop some money the cheap ones are obvious

No he uses a regular camera because in his one video some guy was being an ass about him filming.

Clay Fighter Sculptors Cut for 5 bucks HOLY S** T I hope you jumped on that Pat.

very cool Frank thinks Hammer Horror films are good!!

4:30 Hey, we have that Mickey Mouse backscratcher too!
Great Finds and the M.A.S.K. is the coolest stuff that i growing up.
Great job Pat.
I'm glad you could get Michael J Fox to hold your camera.
Casanuda that was so wrong but so funny:)
Should've got those Honey Bunches of Oats
I love me some flea market madness.
Hey Pat,
Is that the flea market on woodbridge ave in rahway?
Pat, come to California!! There was a guy selling an NES for $50 and games for $5!!
Flea market madness is the best...
Where are people getting these (seemingly non-negotiable) prices? Damn, Pawn Stars, American Pickers, and the like.
I know Pat doesn't resell the stuff he buys at the swap-meet, but what does he do with all those extra consoles laying around?
