DCEU movies ranked
1. Zack Snyder's Justice League (now this is the Justice League movie that we deserved after that crappy mess that we got back in 2017. Despite it being four hours long, the story itself was pretty great. Steppenwolf was a much better villain here and every member of the Justice League, especially with Cyborg, got their moment to shine)
2. Aquaman (rather the most comic accurate of all the live action DC films with a solid story, great music, visuals, characters, and action as well as the hero's journey of the titular character in Aquaman)
3. Man of Steel (a really good reimagining of Superman with a great origin story, action, music, visuals, and villain in Zod)
4. Wonder Woman (a good origin story for the titular character as Gal Gadot does a great job in the role, but Ares is easily the worst part of the film)
5. The Suicide Squad (definitely an improvement over its predecessor as it has a more interesting storyline, good use of characters, and pretty good comedy)
6. Shazam! (a good solo film for this character with a lighthearted tone. My only problem with this film is that i think the comedy is a bit too much)
7. Wonder Woman 1984 (while there are certainly some problems in the writing, i still overall enjoyed this film as Gal Gadot continues to shine in the titular role and her chemistry with Chris Pine was spot on. I also like the message of this film as it pretty much was good timing to hear it during this yearlong disease)
8. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (unnecessary storylines in this movie that really should not be in for a second film of this universe along with Lex Luthor being horribly potrayed. Despite that, this was rather a good introduction for Batman and Wonder Woman as well as having great visuals and action)
9. Birds of Prey (if this is a film mainly about the titular team, WHY is Harley Quinn the overall main character of the film? I don't get that at all. The story, characters, action, and villains were fine, but nothing really special)
10. Suicide Squad (this movie really just tells an uninteresting story of the titular team with a forgettable main villain. Not to mention the fact that Joker was also horribly potrayed like Lex Luthor)
DCEU main villains ranked
1. Ocean Master (the most comic accurate of all the main villains in this list in terms of his costume and his motivations as Patrick Wilson does a good job in the role)
2. Zod (a great villian with such an understandable motivation to keep his people safe as well as wanting to bring back his home planet)
3. Steppenwolf (after watching the Snyder Cut, we finally got a much better good looking design of Steppenwolf with clearer motivations. As such, he turned out to be a pretty good villain that the Justice League has encountered)
4. Thaddeus Sivana (a good potrayal of the character that serves as a dark parallel to Billy Batson)
5. Starro (really surprised on how James Gunn adapts this character onto the big screen. Although i think he should have gotten more screentime, i overall like Starro's design and the conflict he brings to the film with his spores)
6. Thinker (while not as good as Neil Sandilands' potrayal of the Thinker, i say that Peter Capaldi did a fairly decent job in the role and i like how he was connected to Starro)
7. Maxwell Lord (although it would've been better to have Cheetah as the big bad of WW84, but overall Maxwell Lord was a fine villain who has made more of a presence and character development in his own film than Ares)
8. Ares (he had some good dialogue and action scenes, but he lacks character development in the fact that it was so random for Sir Patrick Morgan to be revealed as Ares. Not to mention the fact that Ares' design does not look anything like his comic book counterpart)
9. Black Mask (Ewan McGregor does fine in the role, but Black Mask really shouldn't have been killed)
10. Lex Luthor (although i kinda like how crazy and hyper Lex Luthor is, this is obviously not what the character is supposed to be and Jesse Eisenberg was more suited to be the Riddler of the DCEU)
11. Enchantress (not an interesting villain at all)
Thanks so I can see the movie I tried to hard to see it
Did you see 👀 new Suiside Squad yet ? You need to, it's really good 👍, I give it a 9.9 out of 10.

Some of the MOST FUN I've EVER had watching a film!
Ayeeeee wassup y’all hope y’all having a good Saturday ova there
can't wait for your reaction!
I literally stood up while watching and said out loud "this is fucking fantastic...."
We had an amazing time as well! Felt like a big budget Troma film. James really went for it on this one!
The lasy time I had fun watching a movie was. Caligula.
Amanda Waller knew what she was doing when she put Peacemaker on the main team. She knew he would follow orders, no matter what.
John Cena said the character was originally described to him as "a bro-y, douchebag version of Captain America". My first thought with that description was, "So John Walker", and damn, does it fit.
i love that they gave starro last words. it could be how many years old but these last thirty years was just terrible for it and unfortunately, it dies on this planet and in daylight so it couldn't even see the stars
I mean, sun is a star. And him looking at the sun was beautiful
@@yedigemagavin1694 oh, that's true too!
To be fair, he didn't HAVE to lobotomise an entire city.
@@wratched oh yeah, definitely. but at the same time... i feel like that it's its own way to fight against its imprisonment? so... yeah, it didn't have to take a city (and possibly country) but it made sense that it did do that
@@wratched he also didn't have to be taken from space and tortured for 30 years and quite frankly I'd say he showed restraint in the fact that he only wanted the city and even ignored the suicide squad till they attacked.

Sure did check a lot of boxes.

And heartwarming
I like how Harley actually uses the Javelin after it's gifted to her, a lot of other films would have just written it off as a joke and moved on, but she actually keeps hold of it despite having no real need to.
I love the line, "I'm waiting for God to tell me what to do with it." "Jesus Christ." "Or him. Or any of them, really." 😂
"Killing kids, kinda a red flag" a subtle reference to The Joker killing Robin IMO
Harley was kinda complicit in that lol. But yea that probably reminder her of the Joker.
In Bird of Prey, Black Mask was trying to kill a kid too.
Joker didn't kill him doe, he just beats the kid until he's unconscious
@@imjonathan6745 well the bomb is kinda joker's doing
Funnily enough, David Ayer says that the “Harley accomplicing the murder of Robin” is straight up wrong and doesn’t make sense in the timeline. So like the “8 Years Later” in Spider-Man: Homecoming, we’re just supposed to ignore that detail 😅
Never in a million years did I think Ratcatcher-2 would be my favorite character, but she was. Daniela Melchior is wonderful. Can’t wait to see more of her. Give me that Ratcatcher-2 HBO Max series!
The actress is good, but as a character, no.
@Galactic Boy I would definitely love a prequel show for him
@@dickriggles942 Her character was great...
@@ExtremeMadnessX Ratcatcher is one note and doesn't really have a power to build on. She would be a better Wonder Woman.
@Boba Fett Which they offered, so.......why are you mad?
I like how bloodsport relationships with his daughter is the opposite of deadshot and his daughter
Deadshot care about his daughter while bloodsport doesn't want anything to do with his
They express it in different ways. Bloodsport obviously cares about his daughter which is why he tried so hard to push her away thinking if she hates him she won't want to be like him. Deadshot tries to pretend everything is normal when his daughter is around which will only work for so long. I imagine the age difference between the two girls plays a role in their approaches.
He Cares for his daughter, he just doesn't want to be like His Own Father a terrible influence on her.
King Shark is so cute and so damn terrifying at the same time
Great movie.. Polka Dot Man, Ratcatcher 2, Peacemaker, and Bloodsport were the big stand outs for me!! Gunn killed it
Really enjoyed all the characters.
@@LatetotheParty | yeah, they all served their purpose.
And Flag
King Shark was funny as fuck
@impishDCfan85 85 touch some grass loser
That scene when they "rescue" Rick Flag. was one of the most unexpected things ive ever seen. I laughed so hard i had to pause the movie for a sec.
That was the biggest oofs in movies I've seen for a long time😂
................... I didn't see any people, did you see anyone? Nope, not me.
First comic-book movie where it felt like literally anyone could die. Helped make it feel fresh compared to the other swathe of comic-book entries
Agreed. With so many Suicide Squad members, we only ended up with FOUR (excluding Sebastian). Very naturally done too, that we didn’t even notice that there were very few left compared to how many we started
Anybody except Harley Quinn
@@shoverload5135 fair shout. She's far too marketable to get rid of
They killed Boomer, a character I very much loved.. but I somehow respected it..
The first 10 minutes of the movie were the creators saying, "Hey, so before this movie actually gets started, we want you to know that everyone is expendable and there's gonna be gore. You good with that? Cool, here's the opening titles written in the blood of a guy whose head just exploded." 😂
Honest to god, When King Shark ripped apart that dude, I was just amaze how awesome that shot alone was. All and all, had lot of fun with this one. The ensemble cast altogether were great.
It really was a beautiful shot.
I agree. Seeing that shot in IMAX was awesome.
Fun fact: that scene was half practical effects. They had a mannequin with fake gore inside of it, split in half and sewn together. The guy in the mocap suit (Steve Agee) ripped the mannequin apart and the fake gore just poured out.
The Peacemaker series was said to be a prequel, but that may have been a misdirect so people didn't know he survives the film. It could be a sequel, but have some flashback scenes focusing on his origins. But again, James Gunn said the show may go past a season 1 if it does well enough on HBO Max. Maybe season 1 is all flashback, and a season 2 would be what happens after this film.
It’s a sequel. The post credits scene pretty much said “hey, he’s getting a sequel, and all these people will be in the show with him”
His army guy father will be in it
@@diegopansini3152 yah but I guess they will do flashblacks
James Gunn really did this movie more than Justice.
I really love how this movie embraces the fact that the Squad are indeed villains. Many of them do horrible things but at the same time, it shows you that there’s still humanity in them
Harley:killing kids is kinda a red flag

I knew he was gonna die ever since the first trailer and in the second trailer he said he’s a superhero, so I knew it was up for him. It was still sad though.
Great death, I just wished it wasn’t telegraphed beforehand with that camera angle. It would’ve made for one hell of a shock
@@diegopansini3152 I knew he was gonna die when he says “I’M A SUPERHERO!!” in the trailer, but when they cut to a shot of his whole body and him not paying attention. It was over for him
We all have to agree that this movie was off the walls insane & has an amazing cast.
I especially think that Daniela Melchior was the breakout star as Ratcatcher 2.
James Gunn did the impossible...he made me love Polka-Dot Man. Then he killed him.
At first I thought Polka Dot Man was going to be a ridiculous character kinda like The Condiment King but After watching the movie. He definitely proved me wrong. He was a total badass.
James Gunn in an interview said that the difference between condiment king and polka dot man is that one of created as a joke villain and the other was supposed to be a sincere batman villain, that's why in this movie they have polka dot man so that fans would appreciate him more.

Sebastian was played by two different 🐀rats 🐀 named “Jaws” & “Crisp Rat” 😊
They are enhanced with CGI at different points in the movie but they were real!
Margot Robbie loved having the rats around because of her pet rat named “RatRat” !

So many channels had the opportunity to see it early in theaters. We weren't so lucky. Our loss is your gain.
A lot of channels are going to watch it in theaters. Even Akasan was but the release date is later in Japan so he opted for streaming
@@DJKuroh I get it. I saw it in the theater last night and it was the best film to get back in the theater for. And if that translates to more views and hopefully subscribers for late to the party than it's a win win!
Polkadot man was the most precious human being on earth and we failed to protect him😔
It's pretty much what I wanted from a Suicide Squad film. Along with James Gunn's humor. I enjoyed it!
Nice mix of both.
18:10 Cue the "meat pockets" 😍🤤
Watching the climax with the herds of rats overpowering the bigass starfish made me think... Jesus, that "superhero" movie was AWESOME from start to finish.
Felt like a true adaptation considering it was ridiculous as hell yet extremely fun and thrilling
I was smiling the whole time
This movie made me not only feel empathy for its main cast of characters, but for the big CGI monster as well. "I was happy, floating, staring at the stars."
It took me a while to realize, but that showdown between Peacemaker and Bloodsport was made for Deadshot XD
That kind of gun accuracy is right up his ally
Glad we got Bloodsport instead!
RIP Blackguard,Javelin,Captain Boomerang,TDK, Flag and Polka-Dot Man.
One of the details I like in this film is it reminds us these guys are full on heroes their still bad guys, they’re all mainly Anti Heros, Ratcatcher 2 is really the only one out of them that is close to being a full on hero
Such a good movie! Also, who else wants a "Bloodsport & Sebastian: Best Friends Forever" spinoff? Because I do! Sebastian is so cute 💗
By far my favorite character is Sebastián.. and I'm glad he made it
Sweet little Sebastián.
Poor Starro... He Was Happy Alien When Floating In Space And Watching The Stars And Planets😢😢
I'm so bummed out they killed Captain Boomerang. Even though I knew it was gonna happen.
Boomerangs: they always come back. (;
I always complain about how he survive in almost of the animation movies when he is really weak, but when they actually kill him, it pisses me off lmao
I LOVE when Vanessa claps her hands together and says "Everyone is about to get (bleeped) up" and then rubs then together right after Capaldi is bashed into the window by Starro. I've never felt closer to anyone else :)
🤣💜
I fear for King Shark's (Nanaue) life through the whole movie. thank god he's alive lol
i hated how they did mah boy Captain Boomerang dirty... other than that, i enjoyed the movie
I knew from the trailers that he would die though.
The King Shark in this movie & in the Harley Quinn Animated series couldn't be more different, and I love them both.
James Gunn understands how soundtracks work for movies. Something Snyder is worse at then his addiction to slow motion
Lol, maybe actually watch a Snyder movie before making such a dumb remark xD
Gunn literally used Snyder's vision and combined it with his own to create this movie. The whole chapter aspect, for example. Snyder even functioned as a producer for this.
The whole soundtrack thing? Yeah, Snyder did that long before Gunn ever did GotG. Zack's been doing that since his 300 days.
Also, comparing a Snyder superhero movie with a Gunn superhero movie is the biggest stretch yet.
Snyder made movies about superheroes.
While Gunn does his about misfits and villains.
Those are two very different ways to tell a story.
One has massive restrictions (heroes) while the other has nothing but freedom (villains and lesser known misfits).
Huge difference, mate.
Also, why even hate on Zack? What good does that get you?
The man literally created some of thé best superhero movies of all time.
Because like it or not, The Suicide Squad is NOT a superhero movie. It literally has 0 superheroes in it.
It's a team of villains forced to do good with the threat of blowing their head off if they don't.
Even GotG is not really a superhero movie. They're practically space explorers, borderline space pirates. Not heroes, not their daily job.
Even the MCU is more superhero action comedy than straight up superhero movies. Some are even just spy movies.
But every DC movie, so far, with the exception of both Suicide Squads and Joker, are superhero movies.
I get it, the difference is small. Barely even noticeable. And when someone mentions it, they think it's hate. But to be clear: I'm not hating. Merely stating the véry obvious.
To have a superhero movie: you need heroes and lots of action. (DC)
To have a comedy: you need jokes. (Like Adam Sandler movies)
Combine the two and you got a superhero action comedy. (MCU)
Take out the hero, make it a villain, misfit or anti-hero but keep the comedy and you got a supervillain action comedy, like The Suicide Squad, GotG, Venom and Deadpool.
Take out the comedy and you got a straight-up villain movie, like Joker.
It's called: logic.
Something many MCU fans seem to lack as they prefer hate over logic.
@@kiyaleelevyrunaya9495 Before making such a dumb response, I have. That's what I was referencing. Sharp as a marble, you are.
This is the problem with super fans of the Snyder cut. While it was a great movie, while Snyder definitely understands the characters and the story archs, you all just gracefully skip over how he over sexualized Aquaman(and yes he did)
The random scene where they were singing as Aquaman departed back in the water and the random woman sniffing her shirt(very female empowering) always gets skipped over. Just because he's a good director doesnt mean he's perfect and infallible. The slow motion lost its effect after the first hour because it was so frequent. He handled this way better in 300. The music was just music he liked. Not music that always fit the scene. At least Joss attnepted to put some recognizable, albeit unearned themes in his version. Gunn's music choice actually fit evry scene, every moment, every character. Yeah, there are some flaws. There are some characters he doesnt understand and despite what you were told what version he based this or that off of, DC is in charge of the DC film verse. Not a director. So their ultimate plan (and very clearly lack there of considering B.O.P, Two Justice Leagues, etc) is the one they're going with.
@@lilkingg82 Slow mo will always be fine with me and Snyder knows how to pick music/songs quite well… his problem is turning them into effing music videos that go on for too long.
@@cissyiniguez These are both things James Gunn nails every single time

They'll probably adapt a storyline and bring back Captain Boomerang with a Black Lantern Ring since they already seemed to have adapted *Brightest Day* with his pure energy Boomerangs.
They can just do *Blackest Night* and save him if needed

They could reboot this, especially if Harley is recast.

One of the best DC comic movies made
Peacemaker pulled a Kano move
"FUCKIN WHOOPS" 🤣
The main members of the squad mostly fit into a five man band structure
Ratcatcher - The heart
ratcatcher is the glue of the team, and she develops a bond with the leader and big guy.
King Shark - Big Guy
Pretty self explanatory, he is the large one who packs a punch.
Bloodsport - the leader
He’s the one who leads the team. Waller even says that that was one of the reasons why she chose him.
Rick flag - smart guy
This one is the biggest stretch, but Rick usually makes the plans and has experience with being a member of the squad
Peacemaker - lancer
He is a reflection of bloodsport and butt heads frequently
Harley and Polka dot man are not as clear IMO
Harley is like a secondary heart with a touch of big guy
I have no clue about polka dot man, is he comedic relief? Is Milton his heart? I’m lost

Ratcatcher 2's favorite videogame would be A Plague Tale: Innocence
And that ending made so much sense like we all hated ratgirl and hate rats but yes they also have a purpose in this world....
Cena was awsome in this. To me that shows how important direction is because I thought he was horrible in fast and furious 9. Him and polka dot man were really great.
Agreed.
Better direction and script plays a huge role
Direction can really impact an actor's performance. But I agree that John Cena was a pretty damn good actor in this when he started being deadly serious. It wasn't a jarring transition and he did come off as a legit threat.
(The Suicide Squad/Deadpool 2): The leader of the team (Rick Flag/Deadpool) calls them (Task Force-X/X-Force) then they all get killed after they jump out of a plane except for the leader (Rick Flag/Deadpool) and his female sidekick with white face paint (Harley Quinn/Domino). And to top it off each scene had a helicopter propeller death. If that isn't blatant enough they started that scene off with a literal "DEADPOOL" (a bet on who would die first).

24:25 - Especially since Superman was able to hear Lois being in dire straights from across the world and get there in a fraction of a second, but apparently Staro doesn't register with him (Or are they saying Superman only has ears for Lois?)
I theory i hear is that Superman was still recovering from the shot of Kriptonite bullet.
That's the problem with a character like Superman: he's *too* overpowered. In a world where Superman exists, literally every story can be solved by Superman showing up and saving the day, which leaves no room for anyone else's stories.

the Ostander Cameo with Savant was so cool better than his name on the Federal building in the first movie
The only thing that kinda wanted more was captain boomerang. He could had die little later in the mission. But the team A die in first couple of minutes, is just good. It shows how this people are just expendables to Amanda. She doesnt want to kill them, but she have no issues sending them to their deaths if it requires to succeed!
Harley was the only one we knew would survive, and James knew, we knew, so he never puts her in death situations. He didnt treat the audience like retarded and tried to play with it!
The team does really care about each other, and they show it, instead of using big speeches with "family values"... Pacemaker didnt wanted to kill Flag. Bloodsport protected Ratcatcher. King Shark didnt eat any of them. Ratcatcher was sad by polka dot death, Flag death and also she comforted Bloodsport when the rats were crawling over him. Flag wanted to save Harley. Harley did saved polka dot twice.
Starro is not show as true villain. He was happy flying around the stars. was take and torture for 30 years in a planet that was not his. Its kinda understadable that he went mad! (he could be evil or not. We never know)
The true villains are governments, it doesnt matter if its tyrant or democratic. In the end, they are ruled by people. And people can be corrupted. In fact the "guerrilha" Sol girl... even history show that revolutionary can be corrupted and become worst then the ones they took down.
Rat message... is just a nice touch. In fact it really shows, that every living organism have their importance... Just because humans cant see it. it doesnt mean its useless.
I’m with you there. On one hand, his death early on made us feel like anyone could die in this movie, which was perfect.
But on the other hand, he’s Captain freakin’ Boomerang, a fan favorite for a variety of reasons. He would’ve upstaged every other character in this movie if he stayed longer
The interesting part of the Team A/Boomer situation is that Flag, Harley and Boomer - the returning members - were all on it. Waller was fully preparing to clean that slate.
The first 10 minutes, I didn’t expect it that early
the only character who was vital for me to survive to the very end wasn't even technically a member, (Sebastián the rat) we don't deserve you lil guy!!. Sebastián and by extension ratcatcher2 would have been devastating to lose! I think we can argue (surprisingly) that ratcatcher 2 was the heart of the team AND story...polkadot man was (also surprisingly) pretty close to the heart as well!!
ps. the 🎶 I just wanna be loved by you🎶 that plays over Sebastián trying to get bloodsports affection at the every end is the most precious part of the movie imo!!
The dancer in red is played by Pom Alexandra Klementieff she played mantis in guardians of the galaxy
All I wanted was for Rick Flagg to make it :'(
😭
I loved so much about this movie but I HAAAAAAAAAAAATE that Flag died.
Honestly javelin was surprisingly important
I friggen loved this movie I’ve now seen it twice in theaters this is the best comic book movie I’ve ever seen!!!!!
5:01 WAAAA HAAAAA HA HAAAAAAA!!!😖😫
That scream tho😂🤣
There was no way they were going to kill Ratcatcher 2, so she had plot armor as well.
No not really. If she died yeah it would be sad but I would of have been fine with it. she’s not as bankable as Harley. Harley was the only one who we truly safe.
I definitely thought that she might die and I just saw a James Gunn interview in which he mentioned that she did die in his first original script before later changing it.
She def didn't have plot armor
Michael Rooker Mallrats reference…👍👏🤟
oh yea I forgot to say Taika Waititi is in this film too it's a short scene but still he is in this movie too
