I’ve had yards of red and blue spandex sitting in my closet for months now. I found perfect textures for the no way home final swing suit but had no idea how the hell to start sewing the suit. Thank you for relieving me of more headaches!
I hope you don’t mind me asking, but what spandex fabrics are you using for your NWH final swing suit? I’m also thinking of making one but I’m still deciding on what fabrics would be best, both in accuracy and price.
For the red, since there’s no distinguishable texture in either the movie or the PS5 game model I just used some regular matte spandex I found at my local fabric store. For the blue, I ordered both a turquoise velvet spandex and a royal blue shiny foil so I would have options. I ended up using the velvet. On Amazon, the velvet was only $21 for three yards, and the red was around the same price. The whole thing with DIY lenses only cost around $60. Hope this helps!
This brings back memories. I remember when I made my Spidey Suit tutorial over ten years ago. Those were the days. The thing I changed. Good video. The pattern you made was nice and basic and good for beginners.
This is really helpful! I was thinking about doing an Invincible suit as a project and this feels like it’d be very applicable. Thanks for the tutorial!
This is a good suit, but personally our favorite of yours is the Scott Johnson suit you made. It's simple but works very well, and the metallic lenses brings it all together.
Congrats on 100k Kai, I’ve been watching for a while and just wanted to say your content is amazing. I always enjoy the streams and when you rant like JJJ. Also I’ve learned a lot from seeing how you draw and have gotten better at it so thank you PSM.
Meant to watch this when it came out a couple weeks ago but I wanted to say I'm so happy you're able to rely full time on UA-cam! Congrats on 100k Kai you deserve it!!
Thanks to you, you inspired me to create my own Spider-Man costume! Congratulations on reaching 100K, definitely well deserved and looking forward to more content from you in the future
i can’t even put in words the gratitude towards you for taking time to make this video. Helping others is something you don’t have to do. But do anyways. Thanks Kai, sincerely, thanks.
I plan on making the McFarlane renditions of both the classic suit and Symbuote suit. The video helped out a ton, and I'll make sure to rewatch once I get started. Thanks again Kai.
this guy absolutely inspires me. I was always interested in costume designing and stuff like that when I was little and ofc it was always spider-man. So, to see you doing this so well only inspires me more.
words can not describe how happy I am for you reaching 100k. i've been a fan for the past few years. and you're one of the reasons I got in to this spidey cosplay obsession lol.
Im so excited for the deadpool costume video! It looks like you used the simplicity pattern, if so thats awesome. I juat picked up one for myself and cant wait to get started on it.
Making an ATSV spider punk costume and needed a good way to make the red undersuit because all the suits on amazon wont ship to me, this is gonna save my life, thank you! (Also your mask tutorial is really helpful, as a broke cosplayer who cant do a faceshell you are a life saver thank you!)
First of all it was a great and useful tutorial, second of all I’m glad I have been here to see you grow, third of all sometimes you genuinely sound like a classic friendly neighborhood Spider-Man from the classic comics when you were giving your tutorial
I’ve just stumbled on this video in my attempts to make my first Spider-Man suit (a spidersona of mine) I am so glad it has nothing to do with zippers. I was scared to make it a shirt and leggings too but I like that you used Velcro. Thank you!
Great tutorial. Crazy to watch someone start small and grow like this, hope to see you playing the new spider-man for a bit next month. Ik you’re not a lets play channel but id love to see what you think of the game tho
Man i love you for making this tutorial i have been waiting for one that's not to hard but still looks good i can't wait to start on my suit! Your the GOAT
Congratulations for the 10 k subscribers. I love the Ultimate Spider-Man comics and suit you made. I love the projects and suit tutorials you make. And it's awesome you got your own Spider-Man mod for the game.
You should make the all new all different suit based on the amazing Yamaguchi figure. It’s really cool suit, and I would like to see how you would do the glowing eyes and logo.🔥🔥🔥
1:18 dude! I already got the red thread and the machine after a 7 hour walk from my home to the market 😢, you should’ve said something about the blue earlier
I walk out of Walgreens with my meds newly refilled and see the notification of the premiere for the video I've been anticipating for so long now. I immediately click it, and... And it's the tail end of the end card T-T
I tried to hand sew a Spider-Man costume once using 2 cheap spandex morph suits with any practice. Spent 2 months on it, took a month long break, spent another month on it, then I just bought a Spider-Man costume because mine had fading web lines, was falling apart at the seams, and didn’t have a proper mask
Casual reminder to all of the newbie cosplayers, Peter Parker made his first suit by hand. Naturally, it wouldn't turn out perfect. Nothing's perfect, after all. Therefore, if your cosplay doesn't turn out perfect, it's more authentic, and thus, a good cosplay.
I think this is the most realistic suit. Because Spiderman would not loose time into painting super complex lines over the blue spandex or screen printing red dots
Dude seeing the full process of making a suit is so cool! Is there a way to do this with a black/symbiote suit? With a larger logo that wraps around the whole body
Hey congrats for making 100k! If you even see this comment, just know I’m that one Chick-fil-A worker that recognized you about a month ago! Happy about your growth bro!
I still remember watching the first costume tutorial you made, I probably wouldn't be a cosplayer without it
Same
bro your suit looks amazing
😢😮🖌️🎨
For real
Okay, but can you make it by yourself
I’ve had yards of red and blue spandex sitting in my closet for months now. I found perfect textures for the no way home final swing suit but had no idea how the hell to start sewing the suit. Thank you for relieving me of more headaches!
I’m in the same situation. I hope your suit turns out well and I’ll be making mine thanks to this amazing tutorial

@Greanbeens14 10 months late, 2 months early, but thank you!

I think an alternate title for Kai is the motherf***ing Spider-Man cus of how often he swears
This is a good suit, but personally our favorite of yours is the Scott Johnson suit you made. It's simple but works very well, and the metallic lenses brings it all together.
Dude, I wish I had enough time to do this kind of stuff.
I love your channel dude. It really genuinely inspires me, and makes my day. Thanks

THX Kai this really helped with my own Spider-Man cosplay 👍🏽
Is it weird that kai looks a lot like the older Ultimate Spider-man
I mean, he is peter's look-alike!

I’ve already made four masks using your last tutorial and this suit looks like it’s gonna be just as fun.
Damn that seems much simpler then I thought it would. Anyways great video as always Kai, congrats on getting 100k subs.

Ok but how did you make those lenses on the mask for this costume specifically? They look really good
One of my favorite suits! ❤
I think this is the most realistic suit. Because Spiderman would not loose time into painting super complex lines over the blue spandex or screen printing red dots
Thank you PSM I can finally making my suit now I need to finish school and get a job
