I’m just a sprinter 😂 I don’t think I could ever do an 8 the longest race I do is 400 and I ran a 55
@@recap4371 that’s still pretty good, in my 4x4 relay since the other team didn’t have a 4x4 or 4x8 me and my 4x8 went against our 4x4 team and I ran a 57 (my first time eve running 400 btw)

Yeah it's absolutely insane. My teammate runs a 9:23 3200m and is ranked #2 in the nation for freshman. It's crazy how far genetics and hard work can go
two of our freshmen run 4:35s and i am very impressed, im also a freshmen and i run a 4:45
bruh I'm a freshman and can run 10:23 for the 2 mile how is it even possible to run a minute faster
edit: I've broke 10 with a 9:54 in the 2 mile
ima freshman and can barely do 5:30 😢
we have a boy who can run a 4:17 and a girl who can run a 4:48 and they are both graduating 😭

Nick's age graded score was 75.23%, Regional class. Just a 4:43 would give him 80% National Class, indicating he's still one of the top milers in the country for his age. Pretty incredible.

Fastest I've ever ran a mile is in 6:07 at 6'4" 215ish...
I might have been able to get to 5:50 with more dedicated training, but that probably would have taken me a year or more of hard running on top of what it took to get to 6:07.
These girls running sub 5:30s and guys running near 4:30 represent YEARS of hard work and incredible athleticism. Hats off to you all. Super impressed!
I've never tried a one mile run, but based on my performance on the 1km and 3 km, my time would probably be similar to yours!
All of those young women breaking 6mins and less or ridiculously good. That definitely takes hard work 💪
At 56 years old my mile best is 6:32

I was a swimmer in my younger years
State squad about 40 years ago and then played water polo
I did a little cross country at school and my 5k was about 18:30
My best mile was about 5:45 I think
And as an older runner I'm better at 1/2 marathons and longer at a more leisurely pace

That’s pretty awesome to watch! Makes me reminisce abt high school. I was a senior and had ran 4:33 in the mile as well. Never took my talents last high school but races like these makes me wish I had. Love the channel, Nick!!

If you run a 4:59 mile, you are moving at an average speed of 5.35 meters per second, meaning those 9 meters only make like a 1.5 second difference.

Stumbled upon your channel by accident and you are inspiring me to run again. Throughout my childhood to early teenage life, I loved running. Then got into my junior year of high school where my family transferred to another location and I lost interest in running. Only because the track team in that high school wasn't a track team at all; but more like a party after school type deal or just a way to not go home. My fastest mile ever was 5 minutes 14 seconds as a sophomore in high school. But I enjoyed long distant running more. Ran with my school in a cross country run for 2 years. I am now 40 years old and have a belly. Lol. I need to get back
