- Ever wanted to take your Elektron-device to the beach? I will show you how I am preparing my Digitone and Digitakt for my vacation to be well equipped without any power-supply!

Before connecting the wire to Digitone you need to make sure with multimeter that polarity and voltage are is ok
Unless you want to go internal & replaceable, just grab a MyVolts 12V USB→DC isolated cable, or like-alternative! They make them at all voltage & throughput specs, and have one for DT specifically. 🎯
Cool Thanks for the hint, I will try one!
So now I got one, it works with the Digitakt but not with the Digitone. The Digitone seems to consume more power on its bootup. I will investigate further but such cables do not seem to be a solution because of the 500mV that are only available.
@@MarcRenton Ah true, yeah don't know mych about the Digitones hardware, but as I said; MyVolts sells their cables specific to many different brands & devices, so if the Tone does indeed need a different V/mA supply (should say what right under the port), then I'm sure they sell one for that as well.
But at that point I'd just grab a cable that's capable of the highest of the two & swap between them (it would surprise me if Elektron didn't use power delivery chips & components with overvolt+current protection!) - but in the meantime, your 12V cable for the 'takt will of-course also work with any other hardware you may have with a hunger for 12V & similar minimum Amperage!
Hi, did you have any issues when the battery starts to fade?
I never used to have it that long connected and running. I would expect constant reboots of the device at low capacity.
