- in this video I will be testing South Wales cattys .6 bands.
these are a new elastic brand on the market and so far all the sizes I have tried have been great! these .6 are frilly fast, hit hard great all rounder elastic in my opinion. they can shoot 8mm and 9.5mm extremely well.

Pretty late to the party but you're the guy I had to consult when it came to getting new latex, now that we have Omega Slings! Saw these 0.6 and wanted to find out about the longevity of SWCatty bands and if theyre any good in Wintery conditions. Thanks for making these videos Mark! Your nerding out with everything slingshots definitely helps the sport and community grow! More power brother!
Lol exactly what brought me here
@@sawemshotem Hahahaha. Fancy seeing you here, champ! 😂😂😂
My 3 favorite sizes from SWC are .55, .6 and .65. Saddly I can't say how they perform in winter. Longevity is good as long as you don't max them out. But that goes for any elastic. I will do some shooting and tests with them this winter. I would have to expect 30-40fps less than the summer speeds. That seems to be typical across the board.
@@ATOMark Thanks bro! Omega doesn't carry half sizes, so looks like the .6 for me. As for longevity, 300 shots should suffice for a set based on your reply to a comment here. I might have to adjust the tapers come winter. I appreciate the knowledge brother! Thank you Mark!
Great shooting and very interesting review mark 👍🏻
great review Mark, and that is a SWEEEEEEET sling brother, love that frame !
Ya me too Darrell. There is something about this handle shape that I really like. Just locks in.
Sweet shooting as usual Mark. Keep the reviews coming man. Always look forward to your videos
I will my friend. Thanks for the feedback
Looks like very good band and good shooting.
Good shooting I'll be giving them a try lad enjoy the videos keep them coming 👍
I will do my best
Nice review brother. I'm barely learning 🙏✌
Seem like some good bands and great shooting brother 👏
Thanks man
Looks like a winner! Nice shooting as well!
Thanks my friend.
those bands are really nice.
nice shooting also.
Thanks man
That is like artillery! Radar guided artillery! Man you are a good shooter. We need to set up the Canadian Slingshot Championships.
How cool would that be? I would love to enter a Canadian slingshot tournament.
@@ATOMark Has there ever been a Canadian Slingshot Association or similar?
@@edmcgugan2079 I never heard of one.
.55 and .6 sound interesting, might have to have a mess about to see what they're like with 9.5mm.
Thank you for the vid, and great shooting as always 👍
Thanks man.
Makes me wonder how these compare to Snipersling Yellow .6. My two months of shooting have been almost exclusively. 5 yellow premade bands and they seem to last pretty good.
Forgive me if I missed it, but did you do a stretch ratio on these? Great review as always!
I don't think I did. But ai will add that to future videos.
You have an eagle eyes...
Wooow!
Thanks man
Let us know how they last vicar but going on initial impressions they look very promising!
I have about 300 shots on them and no signs of wear
Salut Ato. Merci pour cette présentation. On peut l’acheter sur quel site cette bande?
Salutations de la Suisse.
For the moment you have to buy directly from Jordan on purse nets and fox nets on Facebook. His website should be up and running sirst week of August.
Hey Mark good video I was going to get some of this I'm shooting 9.5 mm steels what taper do you think would be good I seen you tasting 25/15 in I was thinking that would be a good taper for them for 9.5s but not sure if you could help it would be much appreciate it your slingshot knowledge is way above mine 🤣
Ya I would use that. 24-15, 22-15, 25-15 would all work. That's where I would go.
@@ATOMark and that will work for hunting fine won't it ?
25-15 sure. It all depends on how you tune your bands.
@@ATOMark he says 23/18 is the best on them I'll need to start cutting my own that way I can try different kinds
@Sean Mcphee go for it, man. We all have our own shooting styles. I shoot 24-18 in winter months with .6 and .65 when a little more elastic is required in the cold. Really, you need to try a few tapers and see what works best for you.
Would I be correct in saying that picking a frame is all just about which one you think looks the coolest? That really the only thing that truly matters is the bands and pouch.
No not at all. I mostly shoot 90mm fork widths because they suit Mt anchor. Some frames have short forks and cause me problems some are long. Fome forks are too long and cause problems. There is a sweet spot. I have many 90mm frames most I shoot well but the Cygnus I shoot best. The design and shape makes that frame like an extension of my hand. Bands and pouch selection can make a difference but finding a frame that fits is just as important.
Where did you get the slingshot frame?
I got it from Prime fork catapults. You can find Andri on Facebook and Instagram
I hope to start shooting my slingshot again. Some problems disturbed me a bit too much. Will tie some new bands in a day or two.
I hope you are ok my friend
@@ATOMark yes, no health related issues, just some personal problems.
Ok that's good news. I hope the personal problems go soon my friend.
@@ATOMark the problem has gone away but is creating the last of the problem 😅😅😅
I am at work at the moment. A construction crane broke down. Fixing it.
