The man is a living legend! What he's accomplished in life is unmatched. To spend your entire life in a city setting surrounded by crowds of cidiots and to somehow to come out the other end humble and maintaining full manhood is truly extrordinary.
This man Greg is a bloody marvel. Anything good bad or indifferent that happens to him, he shrugs it off. Staunch as and an encouragement to others. Kiwi Tim
Hi Greg, you are doing well, so often people think you will be successful on every challenge but Mother Nature is showing her strength. People must understand you will not always find food, get fire, have adequate shelter. That is the suck of survival. One advantage you have is your self reliance training.
I said it before, and Im gonna say it again " This is my BEST outdoor survival channel on UA-cam." Joe is a very good outdoor survival person, you 2 make a very good team together. Thanks again for sharing your outdoor survival adventures with us again.❤ I'm looking forward to seeing your next video, until then be safe. GOD BLESS YOU
Ironically I am heading up to BC this morning for my fishing trip but instead of sleeping I stayed up all night watching Greg’s video. Now I need a coffee and to hit the open road!
Vancouver Island is my home. You showcased a very special part of it and I thoroughly enjoyed watching this episode. You really show the beauty of where I live
Love the country out there. I can remember being a young lad living in Comox (mid 70's) and wandering in to the woods looking for bigfoot. Caused quite a disturbance with cops being called and locals about to head out looking for me when I came out of the bush just as the sun was setting. Of course, at that age being bear bait never came to mind, lol. I still think I was passed over for season 1 of Alone because during the interview I was laughing about the amount of food available in that environment. Keep em coming Greg, if you come to Ontario I'll take out you on some Crown Land adventures.
Wasting 2:13:47 half of the day, watching you ..loving it . Wish i wad younger .wish i could go with you . I saw the video where you caught up with some young ladies ..they really enjoyed their weekend ..it was a nice easy weekend . Wish i could go .
Love watching your survival adventures! Extra special to see BC again, makes me yearn to come back. I used to pick chanterelles and sell to market in Oregon ( to make enough cash to make our way back home to Canada in the 80’s) and my mentor at the time taught me to cut the stems on a slight angle and leave the core in the ground so the spores would drop and more would grow in the same patch . If I recall correctly we would return 3 days to a week later and harvest again. Please keep sharing your endeavours, after all your teaching many what is now much needed and lost real survival skill sets. Take care and stay safe out there!
Loved the movie ! I can’t help but to notice how nervous Greg is on the water!! You’re definitely a bush man, not a sailor 👀 Stay safe you guys, I really enjoy this Duo, by far my favourite ✅
I grew up in seaside town and I feared that ocean more than any bear or wolf. As an adult I did give myself every chance to change that but my fear was so great that I had the boat driver turn around not 10 ft from the wharf 😂 Now I'm a river/pond girl myself.
As a Michigander, it was thrilling to see the sea lions, seals, porpoises, and whales. Our largest water critters are probably lake sturgeons. Your water critters are incredibly beautiful; sturgeons, not so much, but I hear they are pretty good to eat. I love you and Joe as an adventure team and I truly enjoyed this one. Hated to see it end. Kiss Finn for me. I doubt he was bored but rather mad you left him. I had to laugh, and had you abandoned your butter around me, I would have taken it, too! Much love and be safe.
Do you boys read Louis L'Amour stories??? Sackett series and Last of the Breed always comes to mind when I watch your videos. Thank You ALL for sharing your knowledge ❤
Yep, some of the characters in my life are hard to find (probably because they're so popular), but when a job we don't always focus on needs doing, we can't blame them for showing up to get 'er done. Nature almost always shows up with a way of some kind, like the golden chanterelle in this video. At one time in my life, it was Buttercup Butterflies, at another Bullheads and yet another Elk. And in particular it was the numbers; multitudes of each seemingly trying to tell me something. I'm glad to be able to appreciate the work they do too!
Hey Greg, glad to see you had a successful outing. I really enjoyed watching this. Glad Fin was fine by himself overnight but I figured he would be. Nice to see you enjoying time with old friends. I’m reuniting with some old army buddies in August. Haven’t seen one buddy since Afghanistan so really looking forward to it. Hopefully we have as much of a good time as you did. Take care Greg. See you on the next one. Dave
Great outdoors men, and Fin steals the show. Nothing better than a trip into nature. Really was hoping Greg would win the alone he did, I was rooting for you Greg. Keep making the videos, though they are awesome.
You RAMBO everything Greg, it doesn't matter who catches more fish or who has the best traps. Which I must say is you. But that you enjoy every day. Win lose or draw, your out there and bringing us with you on your adventures. We love ya man, say hi to Fin for us. From your extended Maine family, keep em coming brother. 👍. Beautiful place.
Ok so the more I watch these the more badass Greg gets. He’s literally throwing fish back in the water. He complains there’s no fish but he respects the bush and follows the no fire ordinances and actually catches fish based on his liking. He is a true bushmaster
I just had a daughter, but man would I love so much to go out and do this with Greg or outdoor boys, Greg is such a down to earth guy though.love the content
After clicking Play and watching the adverts before it started I very nearly watched 1 whole minute of Greg before the next advert started, I normally watch and don't complain as I understand it is the way the videos are funded but wow did I get absolutely hammered with adverts on this one, still enjoyed the video though
Greg's crab crates look like it was made for Dungeness crabs I'm sure he did have keepers and they escaped as he pulled them up. Glad Finn made it through the storm I had complete faith in him making it through the night on his own. I've seen Bald eagles attack each other in Florida.
I’m hvin’ a Greg’s adventures Marathon..just finished the Hawaii one, these movies are so nice & relaxing to enjoy vicariously through You. I’m enthralled & hooked Greg 👍
This is the best duo adventure ever. You're awesome Joe, you're perfect with Greg. Thank you for a spectacular video. And thank you too to Finn the Mushroom Dog 😘♥️♥️💯💪

Oh I love that small town with its shops , beautiful scenery & awesome to see the wildlife in their aliment , those Steller sea lions were epic as were the killer whales and seals ,nice footage ... looked like a successful fun survival challenge for Joe and yourself thoroughly enjoyed this video look forward to the next video. watching from Ontario, Canada

Awe Finley thank goodness he was ok. Dogs will be dogs 🐕 awesome video great content keep it up love the 7 day survival videos. It's so beautiful to see the areas you play at.
that coat fish you caught gregg was massive.another great inspiration video greg.you have a great friend in joe gregg .I wish I was with you the trip looked amazing. love from the uk
2:50 If the 30 day Vancouver Island beach survival challenge is any indicator, like Amos Rodriguez did, yes, Joe will definitely beat you for most fish caught. That said, I still respect your fishing game, Greg 🙂👍🏼
Hi Oven. Rather than using a rock, just use the flattest part of second knife blade as a strop, or wear a leather belt. Most people can't sharpen knives well enough to not just fudge up their bevel with anything but a whetstone or strop. Another option is glass, if you can carry a piece of smooth glass somehow, it will put a razor edge on a knife as long as you have decent bevel left. It won't take off a bad chip or a burr like a whetstone will, but it will keep it sharp as a razor.

Love seeing Joe on the videos….such a calming voice.
Agree. Joe is great bush buddy for our Greg and Finn. Interesting guy who knows alot, alot 😂 Come again Greg.
Two of the most calmest voices and the most knowledgeable and humblest humans on this Planet. 👌💪💯♥️♥️
7vsWild UA-cam Show is amazing from the German Fritz Meinike. Season 3 was at a Spot in Canada Island

this is my new comfort channel i love it so much
Beautiful scenery, great company, fresh seafood, ... It doesn't get any better than this. Stay safe guys.
What is great about your vids Greg is that you teach what to do on purpose…but then also teach us what not to do accidentally ❤️😆
É os usus os nimis selvagem.
This man Greg is a bloody marvel. Anything good bad or indifferent that happens to him, he shrugs it off. Staunch as and an encouragement to others. Kiwi Tim

I love how stereotypically Canadian Greg is. He is always saying eh,and so is his buddy. It's perfect. And he is so dang nice. Love his videos
We definitely need more Joe you two have perfect chemistry I would love to hang out with you all

What an amazing video Greg. They just keep getting better! Most people live a lifetime not seeing that much wildlife. You did it in a week!

Did you find sasquatch? Or did one find you?
I think you might win. Spider is Orbweaver. Shamrock orbweaver. Painful bite ( like wasp) but not dangerous to humans.
Wasting 2:13:47 half of the day, watching you ..loving it .
Wish i wad younger .wish i could go with you .

My jaw dropped to the floor when i heard our Finn spent the night alone on bear riddled island. Look at his face.. Finn is mad at you now😅❤
That's kind of magical that you can spend so much time in nature. Soothing to the soul.

And Greg Thank You for all you do to entertain us. You are appreciated . Hugs and kisses for our Finn❤
I'm not much of a water person either, I don't even like to go swimming anymore.

The care and attention given to that God created creature, made the entire video worth watching, Kudos Gentleman!
You're an amazing sustainable naturalist Joe. Your calm voice is an even match to Joes soothing one. What an incredible duo...👌💯💪♥️♥️

38:28 So they bomb the sky there as well :( very sad. Be safe guys, much love.
I like how as the video progressed it slowly went from 7 Day Survival Challenge to 7 Day Camping Trip
Finn is the true survivalist. Zach would not have left Butter on a island by himself. I am so glad Finn was safe.
You RAMBO everything Greg, it doesn't matter who catches more fish or who has the best traps. Which I must say is you. But that you enjoy every day. That salmon you caught in the beginning was a Pink not a coho..
I like the pinks the best .they taste a little like trout that we get here in Montana
