Used to have a 6.5 back 8yrs ago and it was a good truck. But there is a laundry list of stuff I would suggest to do to the truck to get the best performance out of it. #9 fuel resister, new crossover pipe, Marine injectors, intercooler kit, different turbo, fuel bowl delete after putting in a fuel and water separator with lift pump, get it tuned, build the trans, swap the t-case for a built np203/205, change gears front and rear, head studs and better gaskets, 175° thermostats, dual electric fans.....I could keep going all day. Money is the limiting factor
F*** YEAH!! You guys just inspired me to continue working on my 1992 K2500 6.5 4x4... I really like the energy you guys have, it's kinda contagious. I'm definitely subscribing.
Good ole 6.5. Got a 1998 dually bought new never put a pump in it yet just a pmd. Got a 94 mechanical with pump turned up...love the sound of a 6.5. New diesels too quiet
I subscribed for 2 reasons. Diesel 6.5 and you guys do a great job editing. Music isn't overbearing. Lots of different angles with your camera. You guys take this UA-cam stuff seriously! Thanks.
Keep up the good work and this should take off. I have a ‘94TD and would love to set it all up. But it’s my daily driver. 127,000 original miles. Second owner. Bought off a guy i know who custom ordered it to his spec!!! Love it!!
We have a 96 6.5 TD Suburban. Love your channel, the 6.5 is a very decent engine with a few small, but needed modifications to ensure continued reliability. The Lincoln is an eye catcher as well. Nice work on the pickup truck. Subscribed!
Yes. .I have a 6.5 turbo Chevy Tahoe in New Zealand. It was converted to RHD in Canada & shipped new to NZ in 1997 Done a 190K & worth about NZD$25k.. Very cheep. Old gas Blazer are going for twice that. diesel fuel is NZD$1.20 per lt. + road tax of 6c per km. !!! & road tax for a 50 ton truck & trailer is 60c per km
Wicked 6.5 guys. I have a 98 6.5 with a holset hx-35 on it and tuned with the diamond exhaust and y'all need to replace those glow plugs. There's a kit on eBay that's easy as pie to replace the wimpy stock look for that. Also I live in Ohio we should link up. I've bought and built 2 6.5's and can definitely throw some knowledge y'all's way or a race :)

I've got a 6.5 too it's dually that was wrecked and I'm working on fixing the body back and I think the motor might need a rebuild if so I will just shoe horn in my spare 12v Cummins and buy a nv4500 and rebuild the 6.5 later and put it in a square body or a rat rod
What is this soundtrack from? Dirt every day? Also, cool vid. Interesting seeing people playing with the 6.5. not a great diesel by any means, but apparently can get the job done for a bit.
Hope you didn’t waste your money if you have the money get a Cummins to many problems unless you get a aftermarket motor or a old army truck that has the 6.5 or the marine engine otherwise lots of problems with the heads I know I’ve had a couple on my 3rd and I hope this casting is better than the previous 2 I got a 141 casting that was only out in 96 some say ther better some say ther not
I just find your channel guys i own 93 GMC 3500 6.5 the transmission needs rebuild and the motor burns head gaskets i want to fixed or get new transmission and motor and upgrade the turbo. What you recomend? Thanks guys and sorry for my inglish it's not 100%
This is why I never buy a lifted, big tired or pimped out truck from anyone. I do not understand why fucking up the drive train and brakes make sense to anyone. burning up tires and over reving the engine and shortens the life of such a great machine. Why is it such a mystery to understand that. Go get a shit dodge and abuse that instead.

I doubt it would be a shoehorn situation should fit plus extra room if I recall correctly
id keep the 6.5 in the obs and cummins swap the square but that's just my opinion

Time to put some work into the starting system lol

Did you just call the 6.5 an Isuzu???

Sweet truck!!! What’s size wheels and tires??
Hey man was wondering where you got the head lights
Finally I found a channel that does the same shit I do
Scotish nightmare thats our purpose entirely bro!!!
That’s back when I still had the roadrunner
Is that, TIRE smoke, engine smokes, transmission smokers?
I have 1995 gmc dully 6.5 flat bed very strong
That sad 6.5 needs a new starter and batteries. It should turn a lot faster, I mean a lot faster.
Oh no man all he needs is those new spark plugs lmao. He didn't cycle the glow plugs at all.
What is this soundtrack from? Dirt every day? Also, cool vid. Interesting seeing people playing with the 6.5. not a great diesel by any means, but apparently can get the job done for a bit.
Reliable and fuel efficient. Will pull what you want within reason. It's everything most people need with a light duty diesel
great vid, what track/song is at 8:05 ?
channel is badass! How do you get so much soot out of the 6.5?
Well considering it’s a older diesel before most the emissions shit it probably is set up to run a bit colder and that’s it i’m guessing
These engines are all gutless
.... Except the one that runs 6.5 in the quarter
What brand paint did you use any wet sanding or anything? I have a 2000 6.5 that needs a paint job
What is done to it motor wise
That 6.5 sounded like shit lol what up grades did it have and beat on it with a welded peg did you fix it ? Or just did a lip stick job

I wonder how hard it would be to find a 6.5 Blazer
Not very

You don't have to get a new engine just change the head gasket
What mirrors are those??
What size wheels and tires

Ik where a 6.5 has been sitting for like 5 years that actually ran when parked. 🤷🏻♂️
go save it please

Life's to short to not have fun In cool trucks. Run whatcha love. If you know how to fix em, might as well break em
6.5 is Detroit Diesel not isuzu.
I seriously hope you don’t really think the 6.5 is an Isuzu engine, I’m really hoping you’re joking
Brute torque don’t think so
first....:)
It looked better before you painted it
thats not slaying tires thats barely spinning in the rain dog. make some actual power
