Use the metal sleeve and rod for oil pump it's super cheap insurance, then plastic sleeves break all the time and you loose your oil pressure you already know the work involved to fix it especially inside the truck 😂 the fact you used a broken plastic sleeve and just glued it to fix it is crazy not gonna lie 😂😂 hopefully it holds up for you

If you do a swap with the pistons, extreme caution is needed to make sure the specs/tolerances match. My brother-in-law did an engine rebuild with his pickup truck Chevy 350 engine with swapping out parts between two used engines. After everything was cobbled together and engine placed in the truck, he discovered when driving the pickup that it consumed a quart of oil every 200 miles; all the result of piston/cylinder specs not matching up.
