I love that you are encouraging zero waste, I’ve also been gradually moving towards it. I’m just a bit concerned reading the comments about SPF. It’s extremely important in your routine - reef safe ones are good for the environment I believe. Definitely recommend. I’m also concerned about the toothpaste and deodorant. I’ve used a natural toothpaste before and It worked well but over the course of 4 months I developed some cavities. I’m sure the deodorant feels nice, does it work ?
No. Natural deoderant is shit. I can literally smell this girl, I would know because I used to do the same. Baking soda is extremely irritating and can cause chemical burns. Essential oils also can cause skin irritation. Honestly don’t follow any of what this girl says, pretty awful skincare advice

Blue Ollis its not safe to DIY sunscreen. You can buy it reef safe in a tin from Raw Elements.
My routine is similar since I have been following you ladies. I feel much better now as a result and I’m doing much better by Mother Earth. I have been using your facial oil, from a previous video, for quite some time. It rocks! I will be 59 in a month and everyone remarks on how awesome my skin looks. Thank you!

What is the green facial wash powder you using ? ❤
The toothbrush bristles are definitely not biodegradable although the seller claims they are. They are made from nylon which is made from petroleum and not biodegradable at all. They may be recyclable though. There are no toothbrush brands that have figured out biodegradable bristles yet, but one does try to use renewables to make their bristles even though it's currently only 40%. It's better than 0%.
So wonderful, it's crazy to think about how many products I used to use a few years ago. Simple home made products are so much better and waaay less high maintenance! 🙂

Omg you must use an SPF as part of ur routine! So important
You can use some oils like coconut oil which has a natural SPF in it or something like zinc which has a higher SPF if you feel it’s important for your routine.
@@blueollis coconut oil only has an SPF of around 3, dermatologists recommend using a minimum of SPF 30. Please don't use Coconut oil as a substitute for spf.

MissWiss Agreed! Such bad advice to give out! Coconut oil does not belong on your face! It literally sits on the surface of your face blocking your pores.

I love your video it is gr8 but you shouldnt use tea tree oil directly and baking soda can damage your teeth i just wanted to say this to you love ya
Your hair is so beautiful! ❤️Just one thing I wanted to mention in case you didn't know, be careful about using essential oils undiluted, you might be ok with it now, but in time you can develop an allergic reaction and then not be able to use that oil without reacting to it. Hope that helps :)

Just because your skincare is not in plastic does not mean they're ZERO WASTE!!!
You use essential oils! The extraction uses so many plants and so much soil and water!!
That's the point... We just don't want animal fats.. we are chemical yes, but the fact it has urine mammals, pork fats in skincare is not for me... Gelatin, urea.. it's hard to find vegan friendly product.

Thank you so much 💙 yes, I apply essential oils directly but you can dilute them with carrier oils if you find it too harsh for your skin.

Your skin looks so healthy! I do wish you had given some information about your products though, other than just saying you would use a toothpaste, an oil, deodorant etc, because i didnt really find the video that helpful to be honest. I would love more recipe videos :)

Nope! I don’t damage my skin with chemicals or over-exfoliation so my skin takes care of itself.
I read your blog post about face oil and what is last 1/3 of blend? 1/3 is base oil, second 1/3 is nourising oil, and 5-15 drops of e.o., is that mean that we have to put 5-15 drops of base and nourising oil🤔🙄🤔

Is it possible to make DIY sunscreen...? is sunscreen actually necessary or just something we "think" we need?
Yes, it’s pretty simple to make your own sunscreen! You can make a chemical or physical barrier. I don’t use it unless there is a chance of sunburn (opting for a hat or the shade first) because sunscreen also blocks out vitamin d which we need. But I also live in a fairly cold climate.

hey! thanks for this, i've recently found your channel and i love it :) question, do you spit your toothpaste down the sink? does the coconut oil clog your drain? i've been really worried about using coconut oil to brush my teeth because i live in a flat and don't want to cause cray plumbing problems... i use homemade tooth powder at the moment but it's not the best!
