Märit Totten I partially agree but I love the drums in the recording. That is one aspect I have never been 100% happy with even in non-acoustic live versions of this song.

The video that got me into Tegan and Sara.
One of my best friends recorded this song for me at a concert when she was alive and it was one of the last things she ever sent me on Facebook and that was a few years back. Still fucks me up to this day. My eyes water when I hear this song and I think of her and our memories.
I remember hearing this song fifteen years ago, and glamorizing how nice nineteen would be. Turns out nineteen was probably the lowest point in my life to date, I don't think I've ever hurt as much as I did then. I'm 29 now, and I realize I was hearing the song all wrong. It was never about an optimistic age, but the bitter feelings of dealing with loss you can't control- just doing your best to live through them.

I started listening to this song when I was 14, trying to find myself while smoking a cigarette. At 15 I was listening to this song on my iPod when I met a girl at my church camp. At 19 I married that girl and heard this song on my wedding night. At 21 she divorced me and walked out the door on our son and I, I drank to this song. At 24 this song came up on suggested videos. Time goes by faster than you can realize it's moving. Make life amazing kids, it goes by so fast.

I was 19 when i met my soulmate. He was 33. And right from the very beginning was when i first felt and knew love. And still do. For 3 very beautiful years we got too spend together. I'm 23 now. I first heard of Tegan and Sara from the NOFX song.. I listen to a lot of punk.. ska.. nothing anything like this, but I am absolutely enthralled with these adorable, wonderful musicians. These two women are absolutely delightful and make such good music.

well that "shit" they're making now is what's keeping them relevant and letting them continue to make new music. At least they've reinvented themselves in a way that still keep their old audience while attracting a new generation of tegan and sara fans.
