A JK Boots customer wore their Superduty boots for years, and they finally needed a resole.
After sending them in, our expert craftsmen took the boots apart, completely rebuilt the insole and refreshed the leather.
Even though these JK Superduty Boots have seen miles and miles of tough wear, they're looking just as good as new, and they're ready to go for another 5 years.

From a man who wears and works in these boots for a living, amazing craftsmanship!!! 🎉🎉🎉 sign me up, i do not care the cost!
Gives a whole new meaning of handmade craftsmanship! USA 🇺🇸
This is not a rebuild, is a remake! 😄 Give the guy a brand new pair! (Joking) Incredible job as always!!
But seriously though you are correct, probably cheaper to just be given a new pair lulz
@@petertaydus6330 i know, it was a joke because probably is not about the money but the sentiment attracted to it!
Is it worth rebuilding or remaking, or is it cheaper and easier to just buy a new pair?
This aint no chinesey bullsht right here son this is ancient skills. What a bunch of cobbling badasses bro
Repair workmanship that has never been seen so strong, very beautiful, completely rebranded😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💖💖💖💖
These boots are warranted for life
I didn't know this extensive of a rebuild could be done. That is some serious professional craftsmanship. 👏 very well done. Wow!!!
Thank you for putting Distance between us and the ground.
Damn fine craftsmanship! Best part is they're made in America. Wish I could afford a pair...lol. keep up the fine work everyone
I really enjoyed this video. Having worn work boots for both my careers, I can appreciate well made boots that last. Tough to break in at first, but fit well when they do, so I can understand rebuilding a good pair. Thanks for not adding annoying music too. Well done.
@@michaelmarin5143 probably wore an ill-fitting work boot. I put my superdutys right into a 6 mile hike in the woods their first day and they were absolute Cadillacs of the woods. Never once got a blister in any of my JK boots. Can't say the same for Nicks or Wolverine or Keen or any other manufacturer.
Wow a lot of nails n screws in soles...Beautiful craftsmanship. What artistic talent to build kick-ass workboots !
A truly wonderful craftsmanship that is so rare in today's world.
Just seeing the effort needed to disassemble a WORN OUT BOOT, tells me these are built to last. That cobbler shop is very skilled and professional. Everybody probably knows everybody else's job. Very good workshop, everybody quiet and focusing on their work.
These boots are re-made for walking.... Amazing video. Excellent craftsman. Thanks & Respect
Wonderful look into true craftsmanship. Thank you for sharing this artistry. Restoring and rebuilding is respect for our resources.
Amazing work of art.
Well done , shows the craftsmanship and hard work it takes to rebuild a set of boots
I have always admired cobblers/shoemakers. Great video, top notch work. Cheers
AMAZING AMAZING 👏 THIS HAS BEEN SUCH AN INCREDIBLE UPLIFTING VIDEO, TO SEE HOW A GENUINE DECENT SHOW IS REFURBISHED/REMADE. THANK YOU!! I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF THIS VIDEO👌👍👏👏👏👏
STOP YELLING
I'm telling you this was a great video!
Outstanding hand-made craftsmanship! Just wow!
I had a pair exactly like those years ago a present from a friend in Canada , lovely boots 😉
An amazing skill and very enlightening to me. I wish i could wear boots like that. They seem top quality.
Great build. Your work is always i mpress 😊😊
Awesome job
Those sewing machines are no joke. 😮
Simply amazing.
Beautiful work 🤘🤙✌️🇺🇸
Great video
So skillfully done amazing
What craftsmanship everyone has.
Nice looking rebuild
All I will see is. Major props to the people Rebuilding those boots
Amazing and awesome work of craftsmanship pride and accomplishment
I have a pair of wesco lineman boots. 550.00 new and they rebuild them too. Havent wore these long enough but itll be yrs before they need redone. Very good job !!
Nice!!! This boots remind me of the army boots I got issue at fort Benning GA when I joined the Army all infantry grunts got them issue in 2004 before we went to tan boots they were black I took pride shining the heck out of them made them glossy
A true craftsman
Great work, and excellent video. I like you walking foot post machine!
That's one Bad ASS BOOT NICE WORK
How many different types of glue do you use on each pair of boots?
good job👏👏👏👏🇵🇪🇵🇪
Wow amazing good job full watching enjoy 💞💞🙏
SOMETIMES people should get a new pair.... That being said. The guys are masters.
Yes sir! The finger bandaid tells the story. Then kinda shoes are expensive? Stay safe. Craftpersonship rocks.
Thanks for the video I love watching them. I love my boots from you guys I’m going to be using them this upcoming year doing wild land fire fighting .
Awesome! Thank you!
so what
I understand how work boots are needed but them ones are solid and reputable to keep going for year's, I live in England and we do not have boots like this, I would buy a pair and never look back. Cool video
Mire todo el contenido Y dije que lindo trabajo 😮 uno de mis oficios favoritos !!!
I used to take out loans for a form fitted custom made boot. Nothing like it. Youll never go back to over the shelf boots again. Your feet are everything.
Outstanding workmanship you folks definitely take pride in your work awesome
I can see how well these boots are made by how much effort it takes to pull them apart, even in their worn condition. It takes pincers as big as that, as well! I'm a cabinetmaker/joiner, and you can tell, when restoring a piece of furniture or a window casement, or door, how much effort and care was put into their construction by how much effort (& skill) is necessary to remove the worn parts, and how easy & straightforward it is to add the new parts. My pincers aren't that big tho'! 😆 (but I do have an oscillating multitool). I'm waiting for my slightly custom OT 6", as my 30 year old hiking/repurposed as work boots are starting to hurt my feet. Keep up the good work!
Parabéns ótimo trabalho
Solano’s boot and western wear in Raton NM has been rebuilding boots like this for over 50 years
Beautiful. Most people wouldn't think where their footwear comes from beyond the store.
I just watched a 20 minute video of a man rebuilding a BOOT!
I used to have a pair of Kodiak boots many moons ago. Looks like the same soles to me.
Super très beau travail un artiste de la chaussure👪♥️🇨🇵👍
Your video is very nice. I am shoes designer. And I really like your videos.
Looking at this, I want to thank those craftsmen that work hard (their hands show it) to produce quality, American made, boots. Salute.
Brain at start when he was ripping it apart was going. Its like trig from only fools and horses. Same broom for 17 years, had 5 new heads and 7 new handles 😂😂
Só fãs quenhe e proficional 👍👍👍👏👏👏👏se não e proficional não entra, valeu o boi,ficou perfeita.lindo trabalho 👏👏👏👏🤝🤝🤝
I have 2 pairs I now have spoiled myself best boots I have ever had. I just hope they just don't get to big of a company and the quality suffers. They really are the best.
The most I've spent on boots is like a 130$ wolverine durashock. No question these are better and pricier.
That was an excellent video, thx, what's called that knife you used for trimming as cutting leather residue backwardly? and how can I get it? thank you.
Al coser la suela el hilo no debe quedar expuesto... Solo ese pequeño "detalle" !!👍👍
Amezing ❤️❤️❤️
Excellent job. You should be proud of your skills. I hope they compensate you accordingly.
Great job, awesome machinery.
It would have been interesting if they showed the before and after.
how much did this cost or is it cheaper to buy a new pair of boots?
This is not rebuild ..this is a new shoes man 😂😂
Good lord,if that sole comes off, your foot is going with it😂
Wow. two things come to mind. my dad rebuilding saddles. or shoeing a horse. can I ask what brand of boots are being rebuilt. how cool of a experience. :-)
Excellent content but, your camera guys' skills are a little short.
What's the purpose of a complete rebuild? Wouldn't it be more efficient to just build a new boot?
They only reuse the uppers and they charge you about 50-60% (depending on exact options and which PNW Boot company) of what a new set cost. I would say the purpose is to keep that money in your pocket. I suspect from the manufacturers point of view it's more about customer relations and marketing instead of profit on the rebuild.
@gk5891 that makes sense. I wonder how much more time after a rebuild you can get out of the boot
It is a marketing trick I believe
@CMDolojan You shouldn't see a difference in longevity other than the upper leather now has one rebuild on it, so that's one less in the "bank" so to speak.
Of course these are hand made products so the rebuilt boots may never feel like the old pair which in reality were just a leather donor for a new set of boots.
Lebih memandang Historicalnya dan ke vintagekannya sebuah sepatu itu ,
My grandfather and my father were shoemaker and I was their helper, I was learning the trade but people preferred to buy shipper Chinese shoes.
It's tough work. That is pretty special you got to have that experience with your family in the shop.
What make or type of glue do you use?
Excellent video. I can only imagine the smells inside that shop of leather, rubber and glue. I'm a weirdo with smells.
Got kind of a Ship of Theseus situation going on with these extreme resoles. At what point is it just a whole new boot?
What Caine of glue do you use? Is thaglue water proof.???
I tried some of these boots ! I felt like my ankles were bare , sticking out to hit on rocks and whatever !
How do I buy one of your amazing work from Brazil? I really wish to have one...
What boots was the guy wearing in minute 3:26
reminds me of watching my uncle Rod and uncle Merle at the Anaconda factory back in the 80s.. HB
Using plastic arch supports is a cheap method metal ones are always best ive had boots with both while logging and the plastic ones will always give out fairly quickly
How do the nails in the footbed not cause pain or irritation?
Anyone have an idea what a full rebuild costs?
Cant boots be made in a way to still be rugged but not need nails through all bottom levels? Seems like if it weren't for those nails going through every layer then just that worn out bottom layer could have been replaced.
Where is this at? I'd luv to have them rebuild my Texas made cowboy boots. All the new ones are made out of the USA & are more plastic than leather
We are located in Spokane, Washington! Unfortunately we only resole our own 'JK Western' cowboy boots.
OK great job.........but what part of the original article remained 😅😅
Привет молодец хорошо 🤝👏💪💯
A pair of boots are like a favorite pair of jeans just can't throw them away looks like a pair of logger boots , distressed leather a good look , those boots will be worn with pride and will stand out amongst boots , if you don't understand boots well i'm sorry , i will wear a pair of boots up to and until the time they fall off my feet ,, you could wear those boot with a tux , i would , and have
How does this cost less than a new boot?
I just sent in a pair of Whites to JK. This is the identical boot I ordered except mine is 8”. I guess in 14 weeks we will see!!!
❤
What's the insensitive to redo boots instead of buying new. Great job on the boots
Shout out to survivorman boots
just wondering the cost of these kind of boots.. nice to have shoe makers still in the business tho
website tells it all
👍
I wonder if Jason's boots from fireball tools were the one's rebuilt.
That's a lot of work ro rebuild, but not having to break in an entire boot is certainly a nice touch.
❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉
Why don't clean the shoe before the reparation?
We ask that the customer clean them before sending them in 👍
👍👍👍
