The crazy part is, this category is nowhere near over. Sub 8 is doable, and sub 7 could happen with absolutely amazing luck.
yeah, there was nothing insane about this run, its just so meta. with a juiced fastion i reckon sub 8 will fall in no time (thx ninjabrain)

if the dragon had perched even faster he would get sub 8 and sub 7 is possible with an instant bastion fortress and stronghold in close proximity to the fortress
Cube is one the most crazy and cracked speedrunner. has WR in blind, AA and combined. that's so unreal with the amount of top runners this community has. huge congrats to him

The thing is, I don’t understand how his nether was a sub 10. I really don’t!
Usual sub 10 nethers: spawns in a Fastion
His nether: spawns in a ravine surrounded by lava
Nowadays people are resetting for way faster nether entries. Brentilda entered the nether like 2:40 I think, however Cube entered at 1:39 or something meaning that he had another minute which he could spend getting out of the ravine and going to the bastion. Then, the fortress was literally 3 pearl throws away, and the terrain to the calculated travel coords was also really good. Fastions are really overrated, as long as the bastion is kinda close (or you just navigate the terrain very fast and smooth, which usually doesn't take as much time as you'd think, combined with a fast nether entry) and you get pearls to travel to the fortress you're good.

His nether split was over two minutes slower than the wr nether split which is pretty crazy.
Holy fucking shit. I never thought brentilda's record would be broken, especially with the game pausing now counting towards time. I did not expect this.

I would agree with this if not for the fact that calculators allow for near perfect stronghold portals every run if you have 20 obi, so it was only a matter of time for it to be broken (and countless other strats that could have been used that have been discovered since the infamous 9:36)
Cheating is allowed now, tho.

I knew it was gonna be Cube who broke the record. Almost every day he posted a new video about 1.16 rsg progress or a new world record in some other category. His grind was insane and it was only a matter of time. This was well deserved! Hyvä Suomi

its crazy, that he got aa wr, duos wr, wr blind, sub 8 end enter, 1.7 pb, 1.15 pb and 1.16 rsg wr in the last 3 weeks. Like how tf can you get that many good runs in such a short time span.
This was done on a bridge bastion. This shows just how much it can I get faster.
Cube got a sub 8 enter into end 2 days ago, but it took 4min for the drag to perch.
the nether was just not that good for a wr, barely a fastion, bridge and rolled on the 6th rod.

the 9:36 used a spreadsheet. It’s hard because what draws the line as a calculator is up for debate? Calculator unban is annoying for some but there’s no better solution (arguably)

There is gonna be a point where it is humanly impossible to get a new record, like in a year it will probably be likely it will be close to a stopping point

It has finally been beaten, and Brentilda predicted it, also insane that it was faster rt as well. I'll be super happy to see a longer more detailed video on this run and overall the progression and journey to beat this record, and maybe even some explanation on the methods used to locate the stronghold

There's something poetic about Brentilda predicting the wr less than 10 hours before this run when it was just under 10 months since the last sub 10 run was completed by Brentilda himself, sub 10 on all fronts and he lifted his own curse for 24 hours.
No crazy strats involved. Very well deserved INSPIRATIONAL

You don't have to kill the dragon before knowing speedruns I didn't and I'm pretty good at speedruns

This. This is t just a game anymore. It proves that when working together but separately humans can do anything. Years ago we couldn’t even imagine it coming to sub 10. Luck and sheer hard work to obtain that luck. We could’ve been on mars if only humans were mc speed runners. And to think this isn’t even the peak and that someday it could get down to sub 7 or sub 5. WOW. Props to him for getting this far.

Man i watched this run live it was insane.
This man showed everyone that for wr you dont need a god seed like which has fastion kr something . If the seed is even good with sheer will and experience you can take the wr and yeah rng for him was very good one of the reasons he left nether 6: 50 mark. Op run cube broke the one run that was thought of to be unbeatable.
