Thanks! After she does the demo, the class learns aspect of fuzzing in to the countours of the landscape, dulling, dapplind, reverse shading, and counter shading using natural materials from the landscape as well as manufactured materials. It is a LOT of fun. The goal is to be unseen within arms reach of the trail as the rest of the class walks past and offers constructive critique. People start to blend in on the second round. By the third round everyone in the class nearly invisible.

That is really cool not only your daughters skill but it's so nice to see a father and daughter so in tune and close, I see so many fathers ignore their children but u my friend are a good father much respect to u :-)

HOLY SHEESH!!! She didn't blend in to the forest floor, she became the forest floor. That's some Hunger Games Peeta Mellark level camo right there. She was so small, she was able to hide UNDER the underbrush. Somethings that some might not think about. Good callout to her being cold though. She's a little sleepy which lowers her core temp plus her being on the ground. Good time to get some hot hands hand warmers into the layers of camo. That'd be a good idea.
This cute little kid is now aprox 12 and I bet she is EVEN better with her skills now .

Hey there! I was very impressed by this and I noticed you mentioned your daughter used focal points to create dead space in which she hid. Do you have any more information on this or know where to point me? Its a fascinating aspect of concealment I would love to explore further.

That's why you have to never use it unless you have to.
you wouldn't believe how good olive drab works with no added vegitation. me and a small squad decided to step off the trail, about five meters and took up the prone position. two of us wearing OD and one wearing black. it was unbelievable that one squad and an officer didn't see us. we got into a load of shit of that. apparently there was radio message ordering us not to hide, but we where far out of range. the royal canadian air cadets wear olive drab on FTX.
