Thank you for interviewing this lovely, emotionally intelligent man. Loved his TV programme Coast, his genuine love of the British isles was there for all to see, unlike these programmed, woke individuals who have taken over country file with the pronouncement that the countryside is fascist. Good god now none the TV channels have anything I would watch.

@@joanwilkins1096 Couldn't agree more Joan - despite being an academic, a celebrity and font of knowledge, Neil seems to have avoided the pervading idiots brigade.
I have plenty time for Neil yet none for his otherwise masters.
It appears that somewhere along the way, Neil accrued wisdom among his arsenal of abilities. Bravo for that.

In truth, you don't need any deity to defeat an organisation of this type. Declaring itself to be a _nationalist_ movement: devolvement from the UK but with aspirations to partner with the clearly corrupt and ineffectual EU? Dichotomies abound. Left to their own devices, these idiocracies will eat themselves, but not before bestowing their populations with incredible grief.
We had a European "National Socialist" movement a while ago - it didn't start or end well.
The combination of Sturgeon and Salmon was (forgive the pun) a little fishy to begin with, and we can all see the fallout that is happening right now.
I wonder if there is a political pandemic circling the world - Sturgeon appears to be suffering from terrible mental problems; she can't seem to remember _anything_ to any degree of importance...
Let's track back to the Nuremberg trials and change the plea from *"I was simply following orders"* to *"I don't have any recollection of that"* - sure, that'll work.

Indeed, and that’s why the perpetrators (for this is a crime) chose it as a tool to destroy the sovereign currencies of the democracies. Usually, tolerance for borrowings is self regulating, because interest rates ramp up as lenders demand additional returns when the spending power of the loaned capital is threatened. But that’s not what has happened. The British government has received hundreds of billions from the Bank of England on an IOU basis.

What does grate on me however,is when foreigners refer to England,or even London as being Britain, while ignoring the fact we are a United Kingdom of four Nations, who have all contributed richly to our shared identity.. I even hear English folk doing this, which is pretty sad. United we stand, divided we fall, and never have so many seeds of division been sown between us all ,as in the present times.

It should be pointed out that the Scots were enthusiastic participants in the British Imperial Project not because they saw anything intrinsically meritorious about it but because it offered them employment. Scots were the officers and administrators of empire. One should never forget that Scotland only joined the Union because most of its wealthy and noble people were bankrupted by the Panama Scandal. They faced destitution otherwise. What were they to do but join the Union? Scottish kings had ruled England only recently so it was not too painful a process!

Wtf! The republic of Ireland has no link to the UK now apart from the northern counties still under British rule. Not sure what you're trying to say about the IRA today as that is not around as a freedom fighting army since the republic was formed. Do you live in the United kingdom? Britishness is an national identity, nationalism personified whereas ethnicity as bf culture is varied and in many ways separate with the United kingdom of Britain. Many Scots like the Irish feel a sense of cultural and ethical uniqueness and that gives way to a desire for autonomy. Wanting to belong to Europe is a separate matter.
You identify as British but if you're father is from the republic then ethnically you can identify as Irish as being Irish today means to be apart from the remnants of Empire.
