I'd love some Murmur weapons. I had a couple more in mind but they were basically all just "screaming face on a pistol grip" or "a bunch of hands or something" I'm not much of a weapon designer lol, I typically just give my characters magic projectiles of some kind.
@@StallordD This comment immediately made me imagine two designs. An opticor-like canon that is composed of two closed fists facing each other (backs of the fingers touching with thumbs in parallel on top) in which unfurls the fingers into two open palms with the fingers spread outwards when the weapon is fully charged. The thumbs could form a sort of thematic iron sights when charged while the fingers kinda surprise jostle when the gun is fired, before curling back to default pose. A heavy sword melee composed of an arm grabbing another arm. The first arm would function as the handle and the second as the blade (fingers together in an open, knife hand pose for slash damage that functions akin to a great nikana and changes to a closed fist for impact damage and more of a hammer/mace moveset via alt-fire) Sadly my artistic skills are juvenile at best, but I hope my descriptions shared what my mind pictured well enough.
I don't think I've ever looked at a situation and thought, "You know what this needs? More bone wheels." But I thoroughly agree, more bone wheels are necessary.
The Rapacious Aspect is something I was thinking Warframe needs desperatly, the game doesn't have any really dangerous enemies tbh. None of them are really punishing and the few that are, are generally really squishy or simply annoying and not dangerous. Man your designs are great, sometimes a bit overboard but thats how concepting works keep it up man, I am also very sure DE knows about your concepts
I agree, I want more enemies that pose a very big threat, but one that is avoidable. So you need to be aware of what its doing, but don't need to worry about instantly going down if one is around. Its a tough balance to strike without making players feel like their builds / powers are useless (ie nullifiers) so I get why it's difficult to execute.
@StallordD Na bro, you dead serious are basically already there, the ideas, the visuals, it's basically there. Hell if you do get into it, the enemy diversity will be crazy (the eldritch void horror tickle my warframe horror fancy)
Absolute banger, would also be neat to see a take on murmur on the angelic choir given we already have the Angels (which we could assume to be the "lowest" tier). Given we are getting the expanded murmur faction after 1999, i wouldn't be surprised if DE takes inspiration on your work or just straight up pay you to use it.
Finally I’m realizing the huge range of body horror possible because of the void having only cursory familiarity with “normal” biology and only recognizing shapes. And I love this. Wonderful video, love these concepts! Particularly the consumed nechramech.
8:10, imagine for an enemy like that, when they die, there is a slight chance it whispers a ghostly 'thank you'. for granting them mercy from the indifference's torment.
I really love the Necramechs and Loid's line where he wishes them to rest (even if it's just him being poetic) made me want more lore about them. I head-canoned that they were fallen Dax or other soldiers that the Orokin kept around so they could serve even in death. Like Servo Skulls but for badasses.
I need you to keep this up. Because at some point DE is gonna get there hands on this and make actual enemies out of them. Once that happens its over for the Sanctum.
I fucking love all of these so much. I saw your initial concepts for the consumed a while back, and its so good Would adore to see this actually realized in game
I did do a lot of sketches for a Mars open world near the base of Olympus Mons with Grineer units, and I have some ancient concepts for a Corpus open world on a sort of, Neptunian superstructure that had an ocean on one of its struts, so I might re-visit those one day!
i want more necramechs in general. but the murmur is such an interesting enemy faction im surprised there wasnt a “loose wheel” enemy right from the get go like yours
That'd be awesome. There was already that mining colony that got "infected" by its influence, so I could see more stuff like that as the story goes on.

Very cool concepts. Would love to see you take on void corruption done in the style we see on the Zarimman and on incarnons. Murmmurized enemies are fun, but in head-cannon, void corruption was always the metallic twisting we see on the angels and ephmeras.
I tried one but didn't feel like I could execute the concept and still stay within Warframe design rules. I either went too hard and basically made another Requiem horror, or I just wound up with what would basically be a Qorvex alt skin. I also tried a Dante Murmur skin but it was a bit meh so I scrapped it.
The Consumed Arcocanid's "dance" animation could be similar to Elden Ring's Divine Beast Dancing Lion boss, who has an animation like what you're thinking of. One of its attacks involves it rearing up on the hind legs performer and gnashing its teeth before lunging.
No it's not that, it would hop on each foot and alternate with its forelegs as well. Honestly it might have been something also from Okami, but I can't remember!
Just from the nercamech and the other 2 gave me an idea of mummer consumed versions of enimes like mummer consumed corpus or grineer and could even do mummer consumed warframes would be very interesting.

13:18 Funnily enough, I believe there actually is precedent for enemies to use a team-up move like you described, since one enemy on Deimos that throws webs around can actually throw basic Infested like Chargers at you.

I like the blocky abstract-ness of the Murmur, but I'm hoping they're just a sort of "sampler" and as the faction expands we get to see WAY more nightmarish designs.
The more and more I see both official and unofficial creations from the Void, the more the Indifference feels akin to a generative image model that can produce things that, sure, LOOK sort of like something, but it's all wrong; maybe too few or too many limbs, ranging from humanish to a mass of limbs that doesn't even look remotely humanoid

DE can expand the design from how Onos and Ruvox design alternates to their incarnon forms
Agreed
We need that concept as a skin or better yet a new third mech type
Murmur Weapons actually sound insane.
