My centerpoint wrath 430 has a crisp trigger. I wonder why this one has so much creep. I'd probably just get the wrath. It's 549 at scheels right now. Awesome crossbow though. I got a big 140 inch 8 point with it on the tennessee velvet hunt. Awesome video as always!
@@draggindeeroutdoors im not sure about the trigger. Iike you said in the video, a bowtech might be able to adjust it. I'll be up your way in October hunting public land. Good luck to you too sir
It's sold in other countries as the Mankung XB65 Chester. You don't get a warranty or any after sales service they have generally good build quality and basic features. By buying it through centerpoint or Avalanche they import them check them out make minor changes and repackage them with better accessories and you also get a warranty and after sales service that would otherwise be lacking.
I remember you covered the topic of OEM's in Episode 9 of the Bent Limbs podcast. I enjoyed that very much. I hunt with an EK Archery Ballistic 410, which is just a Re-Branded Poe Lang crossbow, also sold as the Expedition Viking or the Bruin Ambush...amazing to see the price difference on the same bow as soon as the label changes
@@draggindeeroutdoorswhat do u think about bruin ambush 405 think around 250 package with crank. I was thinking try get one if any good. Thanks love the videos.
I just bought the new version, the Wrath 430X package with crank. $424 on Amazon & thats before the $100 Rebate that Centerpoint is offering right now. $346 for the 430x with crank is awesome. Im replacing the stock scope with one of my Excalibur Overwatch Scopes.
Nice looking piece. Bday was Monday kid's didn't get me a crossbow, shoot didn't even say happy bday dad. Idk I saved from April till end July bought dad a Remington wingmaster 16 gauge. Nice monte carlo stock checkering on it and forearm. Just because I lost his , ours it was Grandpa's he gave it to us. It was 12 gauge . Idk kids now a days lol. That's nice bow good grouping looks like
Avalanche Extinction CP WRATH 430 X-BOW FMA Scorpion ManKung Chester This is really the same bow, but just sold with others names! This crossbow is produced by Man Kung and MK-XB65BK is the modell name! It's a very good and acurate bow...
Good review.... My #1 question in any review is "how is the trigger?". All the rest is nice, especially the weight, but a crappy trigger gets a "next" from me. I have had the triggers done on two CPs and the difference is amazing.;.. But, I really wish these makers would really spend some time putting good triggers. There is no reason that ANY crossbow these days should have creep and over 4-5lbs of trigger pressure... All they worry about is speed and KE... Because everybody wants speed and KE... Pssst... It is momentum and a razor sharp broadhead that does the killing.... Ask trad guys getting pass throughs at 175 FPS...
If you are paying for speed, the Wrath 430 is a far better buy than the X1 for about half the price. The x1 shoots a 395 grain arrow at 387fps. The wrath 430 shoots a 400 grain arrow at 409fps. That's 22 fps better for about half the price. And when shooting heavy arrows, that's a big deal.
Owning several Centerpoint Bows, I know the Wrath when I see it. Great crossbow. This one is pretty impressive too. 8lbs is a bit heavy, but oh well, I don't mind some extra weight if it a good bow.
Hey, Jim! Great question, most cocking ropes for crossbows reduce the draw weight to the user by 50%. Bows with cranks are even easier. A lot depends on the bow, but overall bows today are pretty easy to cock even with high draw weights.
WRATH 430. AWESOME crossbow!

The bolts included with it are 370 gr while in their manual, it is indicated not to draw below 400 gr. , lol. I shoot 490 minimum. Great video!👍

Ok what gives? Did center point sell the wrath? Center point did change the wrath for 22. I do like my wrath. Maybe a sub company?
The manufacturer of this bow is the same one who manufactures CenterPoint bows.
