Watching the expansive and beautifully laid-out roads in Abuja with the vegetation lining them by either sides, I am enthralled by the breathtaking modern city Nigerians and Africans can proudly call their own. Yes, the skyscrapers will spring up in due time to adorn the Central Business District and add a scenic touch to the beautiful skyline and landscape of our Federal Capital Territory.

The southeast region, despite coming 1st in the 1959 election under NCNC, discarded the Western region (under AD), that came 2nd & formed a government with the 3rd positioned NPC of the North, who never wanted the Brits to leave and threatened to break away from Nigeria, if they are not controling political power. The Brits blackmailed Zik into handing the last the Prime Minister and they settled for a toothless position of President, whilst the 2nd, became the leader of opposition. Out of frutration, the Igbo dominated military planned a coup to correct this error and political imbalances of having the least educationally qualified region, ruling the country and ended up killing leaders of all regions, except their own. The east also changed the constitution from regionalism to unitary by Aguiyi Ironsi and refused to punish the coupists..this led to the counter coup and civil wars and the north have since then, dominated the nation and the igbos are crying wolf, forgeting that the seed they sowed, would surely bear the desired fruits.
NNPC hasn't properly manage her resources especially refineries, over the years. More transparency is demanded to put her among world global companies. Too much political interference is not healthy for business.
