Ireland is beautiful and the people are so friendly and helpful to tourists. Carol and I, both of Irish descent, enjoyed a two week driving vacation this spring. Not enough time to see every place. Must return
nice! as a southamerican with irish roots in Co. Kerry I always enjoy these views... and the food looks delicious too (quite similar to what we do actually eat in wild, wet, windy and wonderful western Patagonia, Chile)
If you do have time go north to Achill Island. It is such a beautiful place. If you are fine with hostels visit "Valley House" - the place of Pat and Alice Gallagher. So many good memories..... sitting close to the fire place........ :)))
I'd love to visit there. If only to stand at the lake and breathe the air.. and of course stopping by the restaurant for that lunch they had. I never seen anything like that here in Portland Oregon or anywhere else for that matter.
