Twobold was hilarious. Getting excited about the shadow realm, cheering even when he lost his turns, and the epic quote about trading the vaporeon for a shot at power.

This is on a short list for both my favorite game and favorite video ever. Reminds me of when I used to play "card game" with my friends, which consisted of a handful of cards to a game this one guy found in his bedroom after most of his stuff was moved out, but didn't remember how to play, and the rules were missing. So we just made it up ourselves using context clues and improv. We were also all drunk and stoned out of our minds idiot 20 somethings. Best fucking game I ever played. The kitchen fire gambit with opposite rules was the top winning strategy in my day.
Noah: "fish, you have your Vaporeon now." fish: "Vaporeon you're back! You came back!" 2bold: "She's mad at you! She's mad at you!" fish: "She's furious at me." *moment of realisation* "Why is it a she?" Noah: "you know why..." fish, LewisSMLE, & 2bold: *intense laughter* Me: 🤨 timestamp: 41:14
I love that they argue what sound vaporeon makes when it’s being defensive. “It barks” “No it’s a cat fish” “Oh so it meows” “No it’s a fish. It goes glub glub” Then I’m sitting here thinking, it’s a pokemon, doesn’t it just say its own name?? 🤣

I need a 2 hour video essay on the beauty of emergent gameplay with the super shadwo realm as the narrative centerpiece on my desk stat yesterday A.S.A.P
Upon learning of the Super Shadow Realm, I had the urge to see how deep the Shadow Realm went. The Mega Shadow Realm? Ultra Shadow Realm, Giga Shadow Realm? Without exploration, we will never know how deep the Shadow Realm goes.
I haven’t seen the end yet. I want fish to win. He’s like a Pokémon trainer, traveling and collecting blue eyes white dragons with his vaporeon. Lewis is suffering. And 2bold is enjoying the madness that is the shadow realm.
He is naught. He is but a fool, blinded by power. When time came, he forsake everything he held dear, just to have one shot at climbing the top first. He had to learn the hard way of the price of power. To quote the overarching villain of this arc, TwoBold, "you would trade away the thing you value most for but a chance at power. Now you know exactly the type of man you are". In his foolish ambition, his gambit for power, he lost what mattered, and when his plan failed, when his last bet was ended in failure, he was left with nothing. Nothing but the remorse of throwing away your love, and the few traces of his foolish attempt at winning, all symbolised in a single item. This item had a purpose, it was there to torment him, remind him of what he had sacrificed in the name of ambition, and what he had lost when he was blinded by the stars.
Here's an interesting idea: a game like this in VR where each person playing can actually see and interact with the environment of the tile they're in around them
Ms Paint Adventures (origin of Homestuck) was basically this but on a daily time schedule and the DM would draw the current situation in MS Paint every day
Holy shit! When they spun "Joke Battle" I was like "I'd hit 'em with Norm's moth joke," then Lewis tells an antijoke version of that joke! What are the odds?! I guess if I went second in that situation I'd probably just tell the story of the time I saw a guy catch fire at a gas station...

@@Literally_Kirby i thought it was a yugioh going, with the dragons 🤔
@@Literally_Kirby A blue player is someone who plays a mono blue deck in Magic the Gathering. Typically, mono blue uses draw cards, mill cards, counters, and unsummons.
I just can't get over how much fun everyone is having and how into this they are
twobold's super shadwo play was actually insane
I love how noah creates these games and he says nothing other than managing the game while the others go clinically insane 🤣
Not the crossover I expected, but one that I thoroughly enjoy.
I don't know what's worse, the fact that innocent people were subjected to this torture (even though I thoroughly enjoyed it), or that I convinced myself to watch the whole video without watching the timestamp at 3am
What timestamp
It is 7:10am.
It is 11:41pm.
19:42 lewis' soft, defeated 'why' completely broke me
This looked fun so i made my own version to play with my friends and by the end we were all rolling on the floor laughing, what a great idea for a game.
Twobold was hilarious. Getting excited about the shadow realm, cheering even when he lost his turns, and the epic quote about trading the vaporeon for a shot at power.
man i LOVE 2Bold's endless enthusiasm, great content, made me genuinely laugh in this rough time, thank you
i cant believe that i just watched this 47min long video about a bunch of guys being dudes, playing a Magic The Noah board game. I can't even comprehend the fact that you got Phish, Twobold and Lewi on board too. This is crazy. I LOVED THIS oh goodness gracious, i might need some Shadow Realm Off Time after this, can you spin the wheel for me lol
You land on "gain a magic card".
I want this to become a real board game.
YESSS
what constitutes a "real" boardgame?
WIP
@@joenoodle6914 bitches
@@joenoodle6914, being physical would work
The wheel spinning sound effect is basically the Shadow Realm's and Super Shadwo Realm's OST.
I thought the wincon was going to be like how many spins they did LOL super entertaining to watch. Pure proof that the real point of games is fun lol, and it really puts an emphasis on how fun it is to explore games, especially when you have no clue how they work. Also a huge props to the proper way to dm things lol.
2bold was by far my favorite part of this
loved the panic in the other players when he teleported himself to the super shadow realm
*super shadwo
I would love to see this game added to Tabletop Simulator and/or the resources linked in the video description. Alternatively, make it into a real board game and sell it lol.
I really need to see the masters guide on this. Absolutely brilliant video, entertainment was non stop.
@@surge235 He showed the masters guide (probably accidentally) while switching through slides. it was for only a brief moment but I remember seeing it. It's in the video, sorry I'm not going to scrub through 47 minutes to find it for you but you can rewatch the video for it if you want. (Edit: I do remember it had nothing about "win" on it at all)

@@X_Tron Oh yo thanks! Glad someone else remembered it
Will you eventually declassify the CIA document containing what the items do?
PLEASE, I’m so curious about the item lore and if that win condition was pre-planned
its in the slideshow in the pinned comment
I only discovered you a few days ago, and I've been binging on a few of these at a time when I have the chance... I was laughing non stop with this one, and it was much needed! Keep on making these!
If this was a real board game it would sell like hot cakes and would most definitely be played only once
no spoilers but I cannot BELIEVE that was the win con. I had no idea how this video would even end
I like to think he made that up on the spot because it was funny
@@MechaWyvern707 i have a feeling he did that for most of the show
No shot that was predetermined, he just decided that'd be a good place to end it lol
There was a slide predetermined for fish, it was rigged from the start
@@NameIsNeb no, he had a slide for each person, and would just click on whoever won
16:35 "manual win" is one of the funniest things i've heard on yt
“””””””””””””manual win”””””””””””””
Noah: "fish, you have your Vaporeon now."
fish: "Vaporeon you're back! You came back!"
2bold: "She's mad at you! She's mad at you!"
fish: "She's furious at me." *moment of realisation* "Why is it a she?"
Noah: "you know why..."
fish, LewisSMLE, & 2bold: *intense laughter*
Me: 🤨
timestamp: 41:14
Are you confused? He’s fucking it
I love that they argue what sound vaporeon makes when it’s being defensive.
“It barks”
“No it’s a cat fish”
“Oh so it meows”
“No it’s a fish. It goes glub glub”
Then I’m sitting here thinking, it’s a pokemon, doesn’t it just say its own name?? 🤣
"Then you shouldn't have made that face" sound logic.
I clicked onto this thinking it was a valefisk video. Was pleasantly surprised with magic the noah. Please keep doing these kinds of videos
I'm glad I'm not the only one.
Magic The Noah, this is instant comedy gold. I wish we had a quad Webcam view...
I really love this video.
Please keep going. I don't know what you are doing in life besides making videos, but just keep going. The guys respond so perfectly, and your deadpan is the best.
I want a webcam insert though. Bad. I bet yall were hilarious
Magic The Noah being a -dictator- very kind game show host for the contestants is amazing
I like how Noah just forgot to take the 2 gold away from twobold and then twobold immediately used the gold he shouldn't have had.
I can't tolerate how noah doesn't even remember to take away the mugged money
The goblin is pirating the money
43 minutes in and I still have no idea what's going on. 10/10
Damn that was an impressive Moth Joke speedrun. Norm would be proud
This is the best video I've ever seen. The fact that there are indeed rules and its not continuously made up bullshit heightens this game over the others imo. Also this group is just so fucking funny 😂😂😂
the fact lewis got 3 magic cards and still ended up in the shadow realm is truly baffling
This is legit a laugh I friggin needed my dude. Everything you do is just too funny. Love the nonsense humor.
When the guide was up for a split second it showed they could have used the unicorn paths for free if they had zero gold 😂
Do you have the time stamp please 😭😭🙏
damn i've been watching these dudes for a while, did not expect you to torture them!
I’ve told the moth joke countless times, but this rendition was top tier😂
Lewis: screw Phish
Phish: screw Lewis
2bold: *blowing out his mic at the shadow wheel*
I need a 2 hour video essay on the beauty of emergent gameplay with the super shadwo realm as the narrative centerpiece on my desk stat yesterday A.S.A.P
Upon learning of the Super Shadow Realm, I had the urge to see how deep the Shadow Realm went. The Mega Shadow Realm? Ultra Shadow Realm, Giga Shadow Realm? Without exploration, we will never know how deep the Shadow Realm goes.
28:57
I'm gonna be completely honest, I kinda wana play this with my friends now...
3:30
"WHOO! GOOD WHEEL!"
*Lands on lose 1 gold*
"IT'S NOT THE GOODWHEEL! IT'S THE WHEEL OF LIES!"
I’m imagining every time they go “WOOOOO!” They throw their arms up and lift five feet off the ground
This item had a purpose, it was there to torment him, remind him of what he had sacrificed in the name of ambition, and what he had lost when he was blinded by the stars.
he won
Here's an interesting idea: a game like this in VR where each person playing can actually see and interact with the environment of the tile they're in around them
Interesting.
But it's too hard to model environments when you're literally just making sht up
Ms Paint Adventures (origin of Homestuck) was basically this but on a daily time schedule and the DM would draw the current situation in MS Paint every day
One of the best torture games I have ever witnessed, and I'm not even halfway done yet
13:49
*"Pray to GOD I don't find you."*
HOLY SHEET THAT GOES HARD??
I was so sure there is going to be a super duper shadow realm that Lewi might conjured since he love that place.
I love that this channel started his magic gathering channel and now we get game shows that are art thank you Noah!
12:10 I literally almost died I had a drink in my mouth and him casually saying "it is known as the windpipe" almost killed me
3:30 2bold randomly screaming caught me off guard
Twobold's power is if there is a shadow realm, it will double it.
This was the first UA-cam video to keep me engaged for more than 40 minutes.
i genuinely have not laughed this hard at a video for a long while, this put a smile on my face. thank you
I have never laughed so hard at anything other than this, feels like 4 brothers just messing around with a board without the rulebook.
It's not about what the vaporeon does, it's about what you do to it.
0:30 fish looks plastered and 2bold looks high out of his gourd lmao
