maria khanela de jesus-saplala actually, they were straight at the beginning of the movie because he was in his cybertronian mode(if you look closely at the chest, there are no windshield wipers). At the end of the movie, optimus has already taken an earth mode(visible windshield wipers).
Wow, that articulation is impressive. Paint too. I don’t even care about transformers, but seriously, that’s an impressive piece of plastic. Great review as always.
This figure has quite a few die-cast pieces too. In fact, the whole skeleton of the figure is made of die-cast. He weighs 2-3 times more than an average 12 inch transformers figure.
Robo, I always found it funny how you bring up the "it looks very G1" when in recent times Transformers rarely does anything outside of the G1 designs.
6:15 I have no experience beyond toy customization in regards to the manufacturing process, but it makes a few companies even at the higher price range look bad when they can barely get an ab crunch from certain humanoid releases, yet this company manages to give a glorified block the ability to do sit-ups.
@@mangacomics1601 My bad, wasn't taking a dig at Prime. It was more of a statement of the limitations this company had compared to other character designs
I agree. Most times, I question whether particular Hot Toys or Masterpiece figures whether they live up to the price tag. This one is definitely worth every cent. ThreeZero did a great job with this shit.
"look into my Eyes 😂. Such an accurate honest review. Good to watch you learning how the figure feels an moves where others have blatantly got to grips with the articulation an act like it's not even an issue. Ive just purchased the figure and felt Exactly the same, from how fragile I thought it was, to in fact being surprised at how well it's built. Great vid, thanks 👍
Ya know... I typically don't like to have more than one example of a figure, because I want the one I have to be my penultimate example, but Optimus is the exception to my rule :) Fun review Robo! Thank you!
I would say if you liked Bumblebee, this Optimus is the penultimate example of that. Well, except for ThreeZero's bigger version of the line, but those are huge!
I got the Bumblebee figure they released and reviewed it and its such an amazing figure, I have this one preordered and am even more exited for it now, they are expensive but worth every penny
I think I mentioned this before but I'll say it again. I very much enjoy that you have have a camera set up to pan out on you when you talk/explain the review. It brings more of professional and personal vibe to your reviews. So many people have it set up that all you see is their hands. Very good work sir. Keep posting videos and I'll be here to watch and support. 👍
Thanks, I appreciate that! I was worried at first because I want the review to focus on the toy, but I found myself just sitting a looking at the package or figure while I explained why I wanted it, or my background with it, or how I personally feel about it, so it works out way better where I can express those things better. I still just keep it to the beginning and end though, it's all about the toy in-between .
This is what I wanted out of the designs for the first Transformers movie. You might have convinced me to get this figure! Hell, if they release a Starscream, I'll have to get it!
I'm with you Robo. I'm at the point where, as long as it looks great, poses well and I can see bits and pieces of what its alt mode is supposed to be, I'm good. Concentrating on the look and proper scaling between characters would earn more points than a costly alt mode that forces compromises on the final product and keep prices down. Great review btw, I see what you mean about the back.
Thanks man! Yeah, as long as the essence is there, I'm good. I'm not going to be transforming it, and I'm not going to display in alt mode. In fact, I kinda wish you could just buy alt modes without transforming too.
While not being a huge fan of Transformers I gotta say, this is an incredible piece, some poa are insanely well engineered definitely a must in a collectors shelf ! Another great review from the Man Robo!
I had that Stan Bush song stuck in my head and right when I clicked on the video, your singing synced with my song in my head... it was crazy! BTW Nice figure!!
This figure looks absolutely fantastic, and is a great showcase for why I think the Bumblebee movie designs are generally far superior to the previous movie designs: the large amount of small fine detail is secondary to strong, broad-strokes overall design choices in terms of shaping, color blocking, silhouette, etc. Even more than the fact that this looks more like G1 Optimus than the previous movie designs, I can just... _comprehend what it is visually_ , standing or in motion, better than the previous designs.
when you said it was heavy i 100% thought it was metal hell even when you said it was plastic i was like nope, i dont think ive ever seen such a convincing paint job on a figure, i think this $200 is much better than the massive one you showed sure it may be a lot smaller but it looks like a damn masterpeice, and since i already spend far too much on the hot toys star wars line i will happily support this fantastic line (hopefully it becomes a line)
So this figure never left my mind, so I pre-ordered it yesterday on BBTS since it's been shown as pre-order for months. Got a notice today that he's in stock and ready to ship. What timing! It was meant to be.
I know, it's crazy. If I wasn't already doing so much Siege, I'd go whole hog here. Well, I do want to get Bumblebee. Dang it, that's just a Blitzwing short of having all they offer in this scale...
I have the bumblebee version, but also have this on order, should be done paying it off here shortly and then its on its way here. Going to be doing a themed style setup in my display case of both bee and optimus on cybertron, cant wait!
Honestly this is the best Optimus design I've ever seen. It kinda convinces me that I much prefer Transformers action figures that do not actually transform because there's no way to achieve this sculpt & detail while allowing that gimmick at the same time. The movie itself was kinda trash but damn do they nailed the robots.
Wow! Thats a great looking Prime! It definitely has the feel of a Hot Toys type of item. I'd almost be afraid to move it but like you demonstrated it moves pretty good. Price also wasn't as bad as i was expecting. Sucks about the Toys Alliance figures. I just got my Megatron a few weeks ago and Prime is on the way.
There are some parts I worry about, and I popped the skirt pieces off a couple of times (they pop right back on the balljoints) but besides that one visor over the windshield, the thing is a beast.
Hey Fwoosh, just wanted to let you know. There are Threezero figures for Edward and Alphonse Elric, from the Anime series, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, up for pre-order right now. The reason I'm bringing it up, is because there aren't many other action figures for the series. And the figures that have been made, don't look very good honestly. But these threezero figures, look dead on to the anime and Manga. But they seem to be slipping under the radar in toy news. So I thought you might wanna feature them in a weekly, so more fans of the series know about them.
@The Fwoosh, is it still available for sale through the manufacturer or through a retailer? If so, what’s the website? - Thank you for all your help and all you do for the toy collector community.
Without a doubt, this is the best live action Optimus Prime design
It's insane how cool it is, and how well it's reproduced here.
Yeah I absolutely love the new designs from the Bumblebee movie. Best of both worlds IMO.
Oh it is indeed. It’s amazingly detailed and far more ‘muscular’ than the 2007-14 version, even the more ‘superhero’ 2014-17 version.
Agree 109%
Toyworld & Aoyi : hold our beers
The most perfect design for Optimus. Mixes the best aspects of the movie look with G1.
@Shadow Spirit Actually, they were straight at the start of the movie, but Optimus kept on tumbling and thus.... bent stacks LOL
maria khanela de jesus-saplala actually, they were straight at the beginning of the movie because he was in his cybertronian mode(if you look closely at the chest, there are no windshield wipers). At the end of the movie, optimus has already taken an earth mode(visible windshield wipers).
@@dankmemer2774 Dude, that was a joke LOL
maria khanela de jesus-saplala oh, hahaha, jokes are fun.
this literally looks like it has a custom paint/weathering job, amazing figure! great review
I dont collect transformers but that looks absolutely incredible. (This is how most obsessions start)
Oh, I know that all too well.
Neither do i, but these figures are quite simply works of art worth every penny.
Same here
Wow, that articulation is impressive. Paint too. I don’t even care about transformers, but seriously, that’s an impressive piece of plastic. Great review as always.
Thanks!

Robo, I always found it funny how you bring up the "it looks very G1" when in recent times Transformers rarely does anything outside of the G1 designs.
They have drifted back to that, yeah, but there for a bit...
There is G1, and there is G1.
6:15 I have no experience beyond toy customization in regards to the manufacturing process, but it makes a few companies even at the higher price range look bad when they can barely get an ab crunch from certain humanoid releases, yet this company manages to give a glorified block the ability to do sit-ups.
Being a glorified block is what let's the people do things like that with this figure.
@@mangacomics1601 My bad, wasn't taking a dig at Prime.

the back articulation was awesome, all those details wow, i`m still amazed that something like that exists
That paint looks like you'd get your hands dirty just from touching it.
"look into my Eyes 😂.

That’s the best Optimus Prime I’ve ever seen.
Nicholas Dickens that’s funny, the “best” transformer doesn’t transform.
@@leitechou8350 Yes, but still, detail-wise, it is still the best so far.
That weathering is beautiful. The skirt and knee gimmick also remind me of Gunpla but better.
Damn, could this be the definitive optimus?! Yep!! I wanna see a megatron and starscream, I wanna see those badass mofo's. Great review, great figure.
Damn all that detail on the external spinal cord
Ya know... I typically don't like to have more than one example of a figure, because I want the one I have to be my penultimate example, but Optimus is the exception to my rule :) Fun review Robo! Thank you!

@@TheFwoosh Thanks! He certainly looks fantastic. Love the articulation, can see getting some awesome photos with this "adult collectable".
Great review, Robo! I picked up the DLX Bumblebee over the Summer and was really impressed with it. This video is making me want Optimus too.
And you saying that reinforces me wanting Bumblebee, haha. Dang it...
I got the Bumblebee figure they released and reviewed it and its such an amazing figure, I have this one preordered and am even more exited for it now, they are expensive but worth every penny

"theres 2 relaxed hands"
shows optimus having a mental brakedown
THIS IS NOT A TOY!!!!
30 seconds later:
Nice window to see the toy
Man they nailed the look of the Transformers.
God i want this.
Great review. I can imagine someone doing some amazing stop-motion with this figure.
The more I watch the more I want to play with this...and take lots of funny pictures. I must have this!
Just got this in the mail today and it GORGEOUS
great review! I just got mine in few days ago and it is $200 well spent! this thing is just top notch in every way.
I just got mine today and I'm blown away.
Great review and a beauty of a figure! I loved the 3z bumblebee and I cannot wait to get this!!!
Looks AMAZING!!! Definitely picking this toy (ADULT COLLECTIBLE) up. Thanks Robo. Awesome review as always.
I hope Toys Alliance don’t lose their license. Their transformers are awesome

I have this on preorder and cant wait
Still digging my ThreeA Metal Gear REX... Such a monster of a model.
I have this preordered and I cannot freaking wait. Ahhhh
Totally worth the wait, it's amazing.
The Fwoosh Your review isn’t helping Robo!! Glad it’s got your seal of approval though man. Keep it up!
This surpasses many many hot toys figures. I just got mine. I've seen yours and many other reviews, and finally holding it in hand is still exciting.

the bumblebee movie nailed how to bring G1 and Bay together, the designs were great in that movie
The execution is just awesome.

This is...A BEAST!
Yeah, that's awesome! I don't own any 3A, but always seem to hear good things and this looks amazing, plus great articulation
I'm a simple man I see fwoosh I click I see transformers click even faster
This is an amazing Optimus!
Great review my preorder from BBTS should be arriving next week some time. I can't wait to get my hands on this and add it to the collection.
You're the BEST Robo!
Haha, too kind, sir!
Man this is a beautiful piece.
his feet design reminds me of Robocop
I'm not a Transformers fan, but damn that torso articulation is gorgeous.
DAMN ...Thats the best prime ive ever seen in my life...bless u brother for the vid..

A worthy nomination for Figure of 2019?
Man, I can't wait to have mine.
fantastic articulations
This was an instant pre-order.... mostly bc you know, payment plans 😆! Seriously the best “not transforming” version out there IMO.

I’m so glad that the bumblebee movie is a reboot
By Odin's beard!
How many versions of Optimus Prime could humanity possibly make?! 😂
10:45 damn that is one big figure.
Awsome Action Figure review
He looks so awesome! Love the videos.
Can’t wait for mine to ship!
I'm just waiting for the day when we have that much detailed Transformers which can actually transform , i know its creepy but i'm waiting
The first 10 seconds I was in u sir have gotten a new sub
“Not a toy.” Ha. Doesn’t change the fact that I’m still gonna play with it.
That looks amazing
Wow, looks fantastic and amazing!
One word beautiful
Totally agree!
Such a great looking figure.
Oil staining or "ool" staining? Gotta dig those southern accents! 😂
I will literally sell my soul for this figure
A dream Optimus figure!
Now thats how you make a optimus prime figure
Taking notes 📝

I’ve been watching reviews of this to see if I wanted to get it to go along with Bee, and I have to say now...

Yep! Are they gonna do a Megatron?
That thing is suhweet. Hey Robo quit showing me things to spend money on! Christmas is around the corner!
looks like every man would become a dude after this toy shows up
Might order one...
