Same as that, a young one nearly tried to get in our rental car with us in it, then after ran away up the track, they’re funny when you see them run, reminded me of a mate we went to school with nicknamed wonky lol. Absolutely beautiful place, I think they were about to make the people move out who bought land and had built houses in parts of it. This was back in 2004 not sure what happened whether they all had to move or not. The government should never sold off plots in the first place, bit stupid. Absolute paradise though you can’t blame people for wanting to live there, whether it was right to or not was another matter I guess! Stunning though
Many thanks again Steve. FYI I'm currently working on my first documentary and its on the Daintree, will probably run for 15 mins and includes a professional voice over. Keep an eye out for it on this channel over the in the next couple of months. Thanks for watching and for your loyal support Steve. Cheers Phil
There are some stunning landscapes and wildlife up in the Wet tropics. Cape Tribulation in the Daintree (as pictured in the thumbnail) is fantastic if you get there early before all the tourists arrive.
Lived at Cape Trib in the early 90's, canoed out to the Sailing Cat every day to go diving. Wild drinking parties every night, beach bon fires.... Too many people there now as they sealed the road.
Been stuck in Darwin for many weeks waiting for car repairs and now it is late September, heading to try and do the Cape... this video has given us some hope! Do you have a list of the places in the video in order of appearance and if the beach at the end is accessible to camp on / near? So so beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching. I've added timecoded chapters with place names to the video for you. Unsure about camping at Cape Kimberley but now you know the name you can investigate. Hope this helps. Stay safe, cheers Phil
We are blessed to have beautiful rainforests, open woodlands, white sandy beaches, coral reefs, and snowy mountain ranges in addition to our expansive arid zones. Thanks for watching, stay safe cheers Phil
