Jim Morrison was definitely a beautiful looking man, even if he was stoned most of the time. You should check out their studio version of Peace frog/Blue Sunday, Break on through, People are strange, LA Woman, Love Street. There are a lot of great tunes from The Doors. ✌🏼
...and Roadhouse Blues
Yes he was stoned but immaculate!
The Doors -- "LA Woman", "Riders on the Storm", "Soul Kitchen", "Love Her Madly", "Five to One"...
Jim and the Doors rule then now and beyond!!
YES! LA WOMAN is probably my favorite Doors song! And I have many favorites ❤️🤘🏼🎶
I love his belt too
Jim refered to this as his "Frank" song - the delivery was modelled on Sinatra.
Sinatra and Elvis was his two biggest influences.
Way before my time and I am 56.. How awesome and gorgeous was this man
I was only 7 in '68 and now I'm getting to be an old curmudgeon, but I still love listening to the Doors. I so miss this type of music. Music today is horrrrrrible!
I always liked The Doors - thanks for the play ! 👍
The doors is good for every generation it’s got rhythm in blues soul music everything even for the new generation just have to listen to all the doors music
I challenge anyone to put this song on, driving fast on the highway and not have to just sing along at high volume, it's just so singable!
Thank you!!! A childhood favorite! The sexiest, rebellious soul of the 60s. His father was an officer in the US military during the Vietnam war. The history during that time has a proud influence on the music. Jim was against his controversy behind his father being an officer in the War.
I love how you’ve never heard this song and are just totally grooving on it. I was 14 when this came out. Doors are one of my faves 🤙🏽💙👑
They were a mix of poet singer, jazz drummer, folk guitar, rock bass.
I remember watching this on our black and white tv.
Also fm Doors, don’t miss GLORIA Live n
Who DoYou Love (live)
Gloria , the dirty version..to me the best Gloria cover ....Jim at his best being...JIM!! hehehe
Rip To A Great Singer Jim Morrison, We Still Miss You
Omg. The doors "PEACE FROG." CRAAAAAZY never ending base line.
2:33 - legend has it that Jim Morrison got into a fight with a couple guys at a bar, and his guitarist, Robby Krieger, got punched in the eye, trying to protect him. That all happened a couple days before this performance. That's why Krieger has a shiner.
Gloria (Dirty Version), Waiting for the Sun, The End, Spy, When the Music's Over... My god, there are so many to choose from!
"Jim Morrison......you have RUINED another Thanksgiving!" - line from movie, "The Doors"
Please don't buy into Stones version of Jim.
Which one should never watch
🔥🔥🔥 Robby has a shiner lol
That was fire
LA Woman would really rock your world....lots of transitions, great bassline and the drums are superb! Great traveling song!
Notice Robby Kreagaar the guitarist has a black eye??? .. Was in a Bar fight the night before
I was wondering about that. Trooper came to play and even positioned to show it off!
I think he said he got sucker punched at a bar.
Nice detail🌷《☆》Rob has a UA-cam channel doing guitar tutorials on Doors music🤓🗣🔊☮✌👍🏾
He got into a car accident the night before the shoot
Must do.... LA woman...
Absolutely!
Thank you Scribe for another great reaction video !! '''' The End '''' by The Doors will shake you to you're core !!!
Morrison ,no talent ? Certain commenters, no analytical skills..Guy was a genius , poetry -wise, and his singing was fundamentally sound. Gifted individual.
he could be a big asshole to top off everything else.
Let's not exaggerate... This one has to be one of the very few disciplined performances of his life...
Right on
Awesome Scribe🌷《☆》Bigass belt buckles were the style back in the day😎It's hard to find a vintage guitar without buckle rash🦎LizardKing🦎:*: Greetings from⛾Florida🤳my friend🤓🗣🔊☮✌👍🏾
‘Five to One’
Great review!
OOOOHHHHYES
Enjoyed this, thanks! For Doors funkiness, try "The Changeling" from LA Woman. or "Soul Kitchen" of course where Robbie's guitar imitates a James Brown type horn lines.
Great live version of this song. ❤
Beautiful Song, Great Desciption of Pop -Jazz- Mellow Rock . All I know I think it was a hit .
One my list of fav. Doors Songs This is one .
Jim Will Forever Be " THE LIZARD KING"
OOOHHHHYES
Violent & strings when properly applied, can only enhance rock music. Add a King Curtis’’ sax solo??????? Good lord, give me something to call, ing to. Fabulous.
2021. Pray that you are doing great in your endeavors....🌅😎🙏
oooohhhyes
The Doors, "BACK DOOR MAN* & ""LITTLE RED ROOSTER". Great review
The Door's. " The Changeling." Is one of their greatest tunes...Check it out.
More reaction from The Doors. Love the band
That was so cool Sinatra and the Beatles
Every time I hear this song, and in particular, the ending, I think of this old ad campaign for Ajax Laundry Detergent from the 60's, where the Doors took it from...Show's you how old I am...ua-cam.com/video/ozNpEod4s-Q/v-deo.html
I remember this song 1969 many bands in New Zealand did this
Good reactions pretty girl . Saludos desde Argentina . the doors are the numbers ones
The Doors had quite the history with the Ed Sullivan Show, the people at CBS wanted them to change the lyrics in Light My Fire, the band played the song as written. The band was told after the show that the band would never be on show again. Just one of many brushes with authority with Jim.
Hi SC, I'm a Spy, in the house of Love, check out THE SPY, love the melody of THE CRYSTAL SHIP.
I think celebration of the lizard would be the ultimate doors song, live of course. Would love to see you do child in time by deep purple as well.
I love ring my bell 🎧
STRONGER THAN DIRT...the boomers will get it...
ajax commercial
Hi I am a new subscriber to your channel hello my friend
2:34 Robby Krieger the guitarist was sporting a black eye that Jim gave him. The t.v crew wanted him to cover it with makeup but he declined.
"Been Down So Long" if you're in a blues mood. And the use of "Five to One" in the latest Rambo flick was pure perfection! Hell I got excited hearing Soul Kitchen in an episode of Umbrella Academy. Reading No One Hear Gets Out Alive at 13 yrs old changed my whole trajectory in life. Being introduced to Kerouac, Nietzsche, Blake, and many other writers at that age can change your whole outlook; especially growing up as a teen in the 80s with a steady stream and variety of drugs available. And being of German/Irish decent didn't help when it came to throwing a few back. Excess leads to the palace of wisdom; I was just too young to understand what Blake really meant when he wrote those lines.
Qoooh good one Scribe...check out LA woman with ya fine self!! lol.....sorry couldnt resist!
2:55 -- Jim missed his cue. :)
Great video! Please, please, please react to the classic Doors song,
“Not to Touch the Earth”
It’s an utterly unique song no other UA-camr has reacted to yet.
Roadhouse Blues and Riders on The Storm by the Doors
The doors equal big catalog
Yes, the Doors are Rock, opera jazz
Girl Loves Me," by David Bowie from Black Star his last album which was No.4 on the Billboard charts before he died. R.I.P. It is his last Masterpiece!!! Check it out!!!
I just dedicate this song to my lovely wife the day we get married 😍
Check out “L.A. Woman”, “Love Street”, Moonlight Drive”, Peace Frog”
ACE DEAR
If you listen very very very closely at the end of this tune.... the last 4 notes on the studio version..... the background vocals...."stomp-ing on dirt"......
"New Ajax laundry detergent...it's stronger than dirt." That's the TV commercial jingle!
Like how you grooved to the horns. The album it's on is often dismissed as "over produced" and "not rock & roll".
Silly, right?
Mona! Xhimpa. No valoras na solo ru cara. 🤣
You should react to the doors song when the music is over I think you will love the song it will be worth it trust me thanks and peace
😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
👍🏿
“The End”
He forgot to turn his mic on before the 2nd verse and missed the C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon now part
he recovered pretty damn well.
I think he skipped the come on to show he wasnt Lip syncing his performance.
Your comments are so insubstantial. The Doors were so inspired. Your comments are so ignorant of how important this music was.
Look how cute you are!
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Jim didnt like those surroundings , find one of his live concerts 🤘🤘🤘🤘 'alive she cried'
Please react to the band Quick Silver Messanger Service. The song Fresh Air.
Thank you. Also I am thankful that you have an open mind.
Robbie Krieger with a black eye there
Morrison wasn’t a fan of these songs, listen to his live recordings he spills his guts literally and figuratively
Well, he was wrong: this is a classic!
Please, listen to... Siouxsie And The Banshees - Kiss Them For Me
ooooohhhhhyes-----------------darling -------------------------------and fjb
gloria
Curtis Amy sax solo.
"What was that promise that you made?" TO BE HONEST!!!!
Please react to "Paul McCartney - Fuh You". Recent song from 2018. Modern style & production. Sounds great. It might really surprise you!
You gotta think 1968
LA Woman!
LA Women by the Doors, that's The Doors...studio not live...
I think he's lipsinking this because I saw the doors twice and never saw him wrap his hands around the mic.
I'm secure enough in my masculinity to admit, he was a beautiful man. Perfect looking.
The critics called the doors carnival music boo on them
#ScribeCash please go to your instagram n look for a dm from someone wit turtle in their name. The first line of the dr is LOOK AT UR ASHY ASS ELBOWS!
This video is tame for the Doors. Jim was very staid. Try some other tunes. cheers from canada
wanna try something different , check out Horse Latitudes, seeya girl.
He wrote that while in HS I believe
@@clarenceworley3714 ''huh...?'' expand.
@@johnhouse9983 Morrison wrote that poem while he was in high school if my memory serves me right. I could be mistaken tho.
@@clarenceworley3714 arh right ok, i didn't know that , i do know that it pertains to ancient mariners who dumped their live cattle into the ocean somewhere called the duldrums to lighten the load as there was no wind. laters man.
Good gawd .......finally. "L.A. Woman" now hon.....
You know there must be kind of a backstory because if you look at the guitarist he's got a black eye I wonder if Jim punched him out if they got in a fight or something it seems likely man I love that cool brother on the sax are you kidding me? They used him on the actual studio album as well cuz he's doing the same sort of solo now there's a video you should see it's a commercial or there's a white knight riding a white horse and it was for Ajax detergent and then the commercial it says Ajax is stronger than dirt and if you notice at the very end of the song well you'd probably have to hear the studio version but that's what they say is stronger than dirt like you know our love is stronger than dirt but I think you're a kind of making fun of it because the song is kind of more like a pop tune or this and that compared to their other stuff and they just kind of threw that in there as a spoof alrightyG friend check you on the next drop
Got into the channel about a week ago, read a few comments from links below.
A music critic with nowhere to go
specululating on things that he doesn't know
Is he just a lost voice trying to glow
Lost in a world too small to grow
My favorite Doors tune.
Always preferred Robby Krieger's stuff to Morrison's.
Sometimes I like a little dark chocolate baby sweetie
Notice the black eye on the guitar player him and Jim Morrison got in fight right before this set..
The video lags.
The original clip is flawless , but this seems out of sync .
Studio version is better
Morrison was so drugged up in this version, no passion, sleeping through entrances. Sad
Sadly, I agree.
I think it's his best performance of this song. :)
That’s what made it great he was fucked up
Nah....the singing was good and he missed but one opening and not sure that was not done on purpose...
