He is a stunning boy both in looks and in personality. I have never come across one of this colour before. Such a shame to have heard his rescue story, but at least he has a loving home now.
Wish I could find a pair of those leather protection sleeves! My 4 yr. old Maine Coon, (adopted from an elderly lady), is not nearly as calm as Jack. Good comb out, he looked lovely when done.
This is an awesome video. Very educational & helpful, and Jack is amazing. How do I get my cat to sit still like that? My Maine Coon is extremely skittish when I try to groom her. She is somewhat tolerant around her head area but as soon as I get to her back on the base of her tail, which is the worst of it which is matted, she jumps and wiggles (and she is big and strong of course :-) ). I am working on getting her calm but any advice is welcome! She is my snuggle tiger :-)
Hiya Des, and thanks for taking the time to comment on my channel. Yes getting them to sit still is an art in itself. They say never work with animals and children and this is why! They don't do what you want them to do! It all comes down to practice - just keep grooming on a daily basis and over time your cat will get to know to sit quietly for you. Yes you need to get a grooming area so that you cat realised every time you go to this area, this is for grooming only and having a table or a kitchen worktop is a much better height for you to be able to handle your cat easier. On the floor is too awkward. Just keep on doing bits at a time in the same location every day and very slowly over time, your cat will start to tolerate it for longer sessions and may well end up loving their grooming session. You can also play some relaxing cat reiki music in the background. This keeps not only your pusscat relaxed but you too! Good luck.
Wish my maine coon was as chill! I've gone and bought the moulting comb to try on our MC, he didn't like the furminator like gadget either so hopefully this helps.
Hi there and thanks for watching my videos. Your MC may become super chilled if you can consistently keep up the grooming routine, even if its just ten minutes a day. It really does then become just part of the cats daily routine and they think nothing of it over time. The moulting comb and the zoom groom are great on MC's coats. The zoom groom really helps with blood circulation so your cat feels like they are being massaged, it also bring their natural oils through the coat which makes it feel silky to the touch. I would never recommend a furminator as it is too severe, it literally rips the fur from the cat. I know with having long hair myself, when I was a kid, my Mum used to pull at my hair and I used to be in tears every morning. The zoom groom is so much better for your cat. Good luck.
Beautiful Main Coon. I recruited a 8 week old Orange Maine Coon who is now four years old. Your channel is so helpful especially the instruments to use. I bought a furameter(?) but my cat did not like it. I now know why. Thank you !!
Thanks Karen, love that fact you recruited a pusscat. I'm so glad you are enjoying the channel and that my videos have helped in understanding the correct tools to use. Yes, throw that furminator away - can't stand them!
I'd be. Worried with such a passive pussycat but I'm relieved you think Jack enjoyed the groom ---he seemed listless. Do his present owners know all his rescue background?
Hiya Joan, he's a different boy at home - just very timid around strangers. But, whilst on the table I could feel him go from very tense to relaxed in my arms whilst grooming.
I keep trying to groom my coin, but she won’t have it, I adopted her when she was a year old, I love her 😍 to peace’s but man , can she be nasty, bites me, terrible !!!!!

what a big fluffy boy, im so happy that he found a new home who cares about him
Yes and how lucky for his new owners to adopt such a lovely boy. They both found each other.
Beautiful 🎉🎉
i'd get a cat like him- what a beautiful coat.
For about $2,400 you might find a small one like Jack. Price usually depends on the location and breeder. Males are most often much larger.
Lovely Jack. He's an unusual colour? Cream, lilac, really beautiful and a beautiful personality to match!
He is a stunning boy both in looks and in personality. I have never come across one of this colour before. Such a shame to have heard his rescue story, but at least he has a loving home now.
He actually looks like a cream smoke - he's absolutely stunning. I have 2 Maine Coons myself and they're the BEST breed ever ❣😍
That answers my question, thanks, lucky you too having Main Coins!
Main Coons! This predictive text can make things look really silly 😊

They’re called arm chaps and you can order them online I believe:)
The best cat ever. He is incredibly patient and sweet.
What a well-behaved cat! Such a good boi.
He certainly was a good boy. I never know when they are a rescue cat as to how they will behave, but he was just super.
What excellent arm-protectors! Never saw these before, maybe they're custom made?
That is a beautiful cat
Glad you like this gorgeous Maine Coon. I think they are all beautiful Linda but then again, I find it very difficult to resist any pusscat!
Only just noticed you’ve tagged everything! Thanks so much 😍

He actually started with a very soft purr once the camera was switched off. He was definitely enjoying it.
Meravigliosooooo!!!!!!!! ❤️❤️🥧❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hi. What do you do if the cat won't keep still. He literally hates it x

What do you call the electric tool you use to do the belly clip?
They are animal clippers.

YOU DONT SAY WHAT BLADE YOU ARE USING TO DO THE SHAVE DOWN PLEASE 🙏🏽
