I love how Micheal explains how fragrances make him feel. Bravo, Micheal, and thank you for putting yourself through that for our entertai…….er…..education 😄
That was awesome! I love the name change😂 Michael will always remain the OG! So much passion and knowledge - love hearing him speak about perfumes. So cool to see him on the show!
I feel quite honored to have had Michael in the office and the chance to film alongside him… But! How funny was this episode?😂 The poor man was under fire 😰
I need to try Red Tobacco before I try the others since he said it reminds him of Iran, the country that I'm from. Great video Marcelo. Every time I watch your videos I become more and more impressed with the knowledge and information you give us and my gosh you have the most outstanding production in the fragrance community.
You're going to love it! As you can see Michael is amazing at sharing his love for perfume. Plus his knowledge is next level💫 Just hide your credit card🙄
Yep, Michael is a champion💫 And yes, this coming Sunday another episode together is coming out😎 Great to hear from you @BB-zh1ql thanks for reaching out
Yep, totally agree Mike💫 In fact, there's another episode coming out on Sunday with Michael and I...Rose and Vetiver recommendations♥️💚 Great to hear from you mate👊🏽
Very entertaining video. A lot of fun to watch. Extra fun, because I have to admit that for some reason that poncho had me thinking of LotR the whole time. I have a bad sense of humor. I apologize.
Trust me, you and me both! When Michael came out in the ponch I was thinking..."Ok..interesting" 😂 Poor man felt a bit vulnerable😰 But in the end this was so much fun to edit! Awesome to hear from you Thomas💫
Yep this was definitely a coup… To get the great man to come to the office to film was a big deal considering that he is from Sydney. He happened to be in town and was happy to come across to the office; That’s a real friend right there!! And then I torture him by putting a blindfold and giving him fragrances to discern😑😩
HAHAHA Omg Michael’s hilarious. But he’s a genius! He knew immediately which was which. That’s insane. But Royal Tobacco’s really super sticky on the skin as a scent. I can still rmbr the smell just looking at the bottle 😂 Scariest tobacco fragrance for me 😅
Yep, Michael is the Boss😎 The man is a genius💫 Hence why he's my Perfume Sensei! And yes RT is a powerhouse💥 This is a Beast Mode fragrance for me👹 Brilliant on a cool day! Great to hear from you Vera💫
I get Royal tobacco with great expectation. Use him couple of times. Smell nice, dark green herbal liquerish tobacco, sweet, very nice. But so low performance. Easy, soft, no sillage, skin scent. I sold him i buy Fate man. Thats an art 😊 I have more than 17-18 Amouages from Chong's era and before and thats an art. After 2019, Amouage change his way, im not a fan of Amouage's new era.
Awesome to hear from you and I love reading your comments here @whiplasher. Interesting that you enjoyed the Chong era over the current offerings. I find that Royal Tobacco on me is quite strong. But I don't have Fate Man, so will need to compare the 2. Thank you again for jumping into the conversation, wonderful to hear from you 💫
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector Thank you :) The Chong`s era and before (Gold etc..) is for me real niche Amouage, very special, very Oriental. I think Chong had a vision for every perfume that was made in his era. With Royal tobacco I think R.Salmon tried to make something that could compete with Chong's Interlude. I feel a connection between them, not so much a scent, but an energy between the two perfumes. And the more I smell RT, the more convinced I am of it. It is very difficult to say something about the fragrance, because it is extremely complex. The first spray I had the feeling that someone blew the smoke of a strong cigar in my face. A lot of smoke, tar... However, just a few hours later, I experienced the second spraying in a totally different way. The smell of some dark green liquor, with a green tobacco leaf and a little incense. All laid on resins. The smoke has completely faded into the background. A little later I started to smell some citrus and leather. What blew me away was the dry. Something sweet, like vanilla or tonka, is added to all of this, and it transforms the perfume into another dimension. There is still that liqueur part, the smoke, but that sweetness makes it beautiful. The scent is 10/10 for me, but very very low in performance, I dont know why. I attribute this to the still natural materials used by Amouage. And some of them apparently react very calmly on my skin.
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector You must try Fate, thats a real old Amouage :) My vision of Fate man: Lost in the desert, he walks through the hot desert night⭐🌙... Thirsty, exhausted, tired and hungry... He slowly loses all hope but sees a light in the distance. A mirage or is there really someone? A trade caravan that stopped for the night, unfolded its chadors and lit a fire.... Fate wanted it that way.... Fate is the smell of that caravan... I read and heard so much hate about this perfume. "Cumin dominator and nothing but cumin", "the smell of the chef". Cumin, ok, it's there, I can't say anything. I don't think anything is harder than black cumin or oregano. But cumin dominator? Maybe....but only in the opening there is that power blast of cumin that disappears very quickly in that initial amount. After 30 minutes, it blends with the rest of the spices and it all makes up that first, hot spice part. Yes, that cumin stays there all the time, yes it is prominent for a while, but is it awful? Of course not. This lasts for some time and then the balsamic part appears while retaining the spicy part. Resins, smoke, incense... The dominant note of this part is immortal. I smelled it right away, because I love it from the moment I smelled Sunshine man for the first time. I smell incense, something else resinous, sweet,... In the third part, as it goes into the dry, it is more and more sweet, you can feel more and more white musk accompanied by sweet notes, but not vanilla. Maybe that sweetness comes from the resins, I don't know... A little boozy... For me, the second and third phases are fantasy.
Awesome episode and almost bought Milonga Verde but after the egg yoke comment I think I will get a sample first.. 😂 great guest on the segment too! Completely enjoyed it 🎉❤
Funny, how this fragrance 'twisted' on Michael😳 If this isn't a strong case in "Don't blind buy" I don't know what is!! I wore this after this shoot because of his comment, but I don't get this in anyway on me...very interesting🧐 Great to hear from you Mike👊🏽
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector tell me about it!! Talk about a close one!! 😂🤣 I am trying to expand my range into the brand but not really sure where to start. Anyways awesome work mate and it might have smelled off on Michael cus you stressed him out with blind fold😂🤣.
@@mike_smR Ahh, hasn't come out yet😬 That was meant to have been the first one but it wasn't ready; I wanted some more changes done (editors cursing my name🙄) It's coming out this Sunday♥💚
Yes, it’s always safe to test first! Not sure if there’s anywhere in Melbourne where you can test these fragrances? Maybe next time I go to Oligarch I’ll bring my collection and you can sample some of these.
Awesome to hear from you Cyril and your question is a tough one. If I had the money, I would buy tomorrow Tobacco Saphire....I love this one!! However Royal Tobacco is a whole new expression when it comes to 'tobacco'...that licorice/fennel/herbal note is very unique and something that I haven't experienced in a tobacco perfume Did this help in any way.....🙄
SO funny. This man is a performer (in the good sense of the term of course). I really enjoyed it. And, furthermore, I've been thinking about the fact that I don't own that much vetiver scents...
It's funny, when Sandra watched this opening, yes told me off😂 "why did you do this to Michael!??"
