  • Jodie Ounsley stopped by for a natter with the girls just before her first day as ‘Fury’ in the BBC’s remake of the classic 90s hit television show, Gladiators! Elma, Scaz & Mo can’t contain their excitement to hear all about the Exeter Chiefs and England 7s winger’s shift from rugby girl to showbiz character; something she’s not found to be the easiest fit.
As the first-ever profoundly deaf gladiator & England rugby international, there’s very little that’s run of the mill about Jodie’s life. They chat about her impressive campaign to raise awareness about what deaf people are capable of and Elma manages to get to the very end of the episode before exploding into a conversation about Jodie’s parents’ hotel for cats. That’s right, a hotel… for cats.
If that wasn’t enough unexpected content, Elma also managed to surprise Scaz & Mo with something very special...
Season 3 of The Good, The Scaz & The Rugby is in partnership with Vodafone UK.

Literally watch this show with my dinner on Thursday evenings like proper telly, 10/10 all round. Fascinated by this luxury cat hotel now!

Been to the cheese rolling many times (I live in Glos too). Cooper's Hill is 1:2 in places, so when Mo says people hurl themselves down after the cheese she isn't kidding. My ex-wife did it in 2010, wore as much safety equipment as she could, and got barrelled into at the end by the winner - shattering her knee in the process. Great fun, but dangerous too.

Excellent episode. I’ve actually shared a link with an England Deaf Rugby player that I know through playing Mixed Ability Rugby down in Yeovil.

When Shaughna Brown retired, she said she was applying to be a gladiator, obviously didn't get picked.

Shaunagh got a job coaching the Cayman Rugby Club in the Cayman Isles which I suspect was a lot more fun
