@Jennifer.Ridgeway I am able to get 6 refills out of my Cirkul Sips. It depends on how high set the flow of flavor. I also go up a number on each refill and I still get 6 refills. If I had to guess I would say it is the refill Sip and not the bottle that is the problem. Try a different Sip. I hope that helps. Also the company claims to have over 100+ flavors now. I haven't counted them but they seem to have a lot on their website.

You'll still want to buy 1 or 2 of there flavors a month, bacteria will build up in the bags the flavorings in even if you wash them, id only keep refilling it 2 to 3 weeks with consistent cleaning of the bag each time before you fill it

I mean one cartridge is equivalent to about 6 bottles which is about 6pack of Gatorade, wich is about the same price only difference is these are healthier and comes from water with no added artificial stuff. So I found the carts on clearance for a dollar at Walmart not knowing they needed a tumbler. Was searching for a hack to not use a tumbler, and you helped me realize I can just disassemble the cart and pour the flavor liquid into my water. Thanks! ❤️

@@angelicawalley they are extremely difficult to disassemble/reassemble in order to clean. My suggestion is to use it daily to prevent mold from forming. If you go a while without using it just start with the new fresh one. The problem is in order to pass something like bleach water through the tip to clean it you would literally need to suck it through. I'm a dental hygienist and we do use medical grade bleach-based oral rinses, so getting some bleach into your mouth- as much as your body's going to scream at you that you're doing something terrible- is not going to cause you harm if you do not swallow it. So I guess my other suggestion would be to put bleach water in your cup and suck and spit several times. Then trade out for clean fresh water and suck and spit several times. Certainly not ideal. You can attempt to disassemble one yourself, which I've done, but it really isn't fun.
Yeah, I really don’t know what Cirkul was thinking where they develop a pretty good idea that is too eliminate using plastic bottles to turn around and have to throw out good nozzles and tops every 3-5 refills. I believe the purpose is to eliminate plastic, this just causes us to throw out the tops instead. They should have built the plastic insert that covers the bag to screw into the top and have a rubber seal like we have for water filters in a fridge or make those screw in as well. This way, the only waste is the bag itself which they could sell in packs of 10-20 at a cheaper cost and not 3.50 per top that contains 1 bag, which barely gets me 3 refills. Over time, they would make more profit with occasional sales of tops (like every 100 refills) and their flavors. They also need a bit narrower & longer bag to hold a bit more flavoring. I think there have been many who have bought these then stopped using them because of their cost & waste…changing the bag/cover would solve that issue. And make the main cost just purchasing their flavorings; which more can afford.

I have a few Cirkul bottles. I've done this for awhile. I would suggest not refilling more than just a few times. Even though you rinse the parts, you can still get bacteria forming on them. Personally, I will use a new Sip every other refill. Thats just me. I have refilled more in the past but settled on my new pattern just for convenience. Also, i use the butt end of the butter knife instead of the blade. It doesn't flex as much as the blade. I will also go above the top ring to pry. It's worked better for me, but whatever works for you is best.
I use this hack mainly because spending $3.50 for every 10 bottles is a little extreme for me. I drink 2 bottles a day so thats $3.50 every 5 days which isnt ideal. I use the walmart brand flavour squeeze thing (like a mio) and can get three refills for $4 in a Cirkul sip pouch. When refilling, i usually just blow air into it and then fill
I love circul but can't afford sipps, i get at best almost 2 32oz. 64 oz at 3.75 is just to high, to make it work id need to get 4 32oz bottles per sipp, I run around 5 on the dial.
The way the flavor works it requires suction inside the bottle however, after about three sips, you can no longer get water out so you have to open the lid to let air in this is true to every bottle they have if they could fix that it would be a great product
There's a little hole in the cap and on the bottom There's a silicone piece I stuck a guitar string through there and wiggled it around and that fixed it
For $58 and a spare lid for $32 (from their site, $43/$35 from Amazon). It's really cool that something like Infuze exists but I think the point of this hack is for people to save money

@@gamerhamster2555 I would love to see this, Imagine all the material they would be saving too if you could just get the little mylar bag of flavoring to snap in. I like the idea they had but although the startup pack isnt a bad price it gets sorta expensive if you keep going after. Dollar stores or Pop Shelf often have the little squirt bottle flavors for a buck and you can get like 2 refills from them.
This isn't technically reusable for long term. That foil baggie will eventually wear out. It might be a year, 2 or 3 but it will eventually deteriorate enough it would begin leaking.
Tried cirkul years ago but wasnt a fan of having to toss nozzle after nozzle. Wish I found this video back then. Was there any residual flavor or flavor crossing the first time you refilled it despite giving it a rinse?
Great question! The little bag is made of foil I think, and no taste remains if you drizzle a little water in the empty bag, plug it with your thumb, shake, and drain it (repeat until it runs clear, 2x normally does the trick).
I tried 5 different pure sips and they was horrible. My husband was like they don't even taste like they are suppose to, and I am not picky at all, so disappointed.
I just opened 5 separate pure sips, and was so disappointed, I am not picky at all and none of them tasted like what they where suppose to. I tried pure sip lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, tangerine. I get they have no sweetener but peach and pear tasted like potpourri. I liked the peach mango in reg, and the orange tangerine in fit sip and the white cherry in fit sip was ok. I love infused water with lemon, but the pure sip tasted nothing like lemon. So now I guess I have alot of them that I can refill. Thank you for this video. Bc I really thought I wasted 20.00.
this is a interesting hack, but i'm not seeing the point. Why not just use the the flavor syrup you refilled the cartridge with to just mix it into your water? to wash the bottle less?
The point of this water bottle is to be able to control the LEVEL of flavor. You can make it light, intense, or turn it off to have just plain water. If you add flavoring directly to your water then you're stuck with that level of flavoring for the day.
I’ve been using these for a few months now and can’t believe how fast they run out. I have the 42oz bottle and I can barely make it through one bottle. That makes it way to expensive. I’m going to try this hack and see if it works. I can’t afford $3.75 plus tax per bottle.
yea but dont the cartridges themselves have a bit of a tendency to get moldy if you re-use it for an extended period of time beyond the 5-10 days they recommend? I'm all for saving money and not having to buy tons of cartridges (expensive, bad for the environment, etc...) but how would one keep mold from growing considering the cartridge is pretty much wet all the time? I would assume cleaning it with soap/water wouldn't be the best thing to do considering you'd have a hard time getting all of the soap out of it before re-using it to drink.
If you dial the top to “x” you can pop the top off and unscrew the nipple… use a syringe (preferably with a plastic tip so as not to puncture the bag) and refill that way… no muss, no fuss. I have yet to try it, but it’s almost the exact same method while eliminating the likelihood of a mess putting it back together.
Genius! This works FANTASTIC for cleaning but the hole for refill is far too tiny and probably has a larger likelihood of making a mess because the same small hole that you would have to feed the refill into would also need to displace air during filling, so like you said a syringe would be absolutely necessary to accomplish this. Heads up to anyone reading: once you pop off the top (using the same butter knife technique you see in the video) beware that the nipple that needs to be unscrewed is reverse threaded. Using Kevin's method will allow you to thoroughly clean the entire assembly keeping it mold free!
Since posting this, I have tried both methods... the method in the video is by FAR easier and less hassle... just be aware of the two prongs on either side that clip into the slots... I ruined my first flavor pod due to this.
@@kevinwilliams9661 My way is by far easier to fill the flavor reservoir but your way is seemingly the only way to take the canister completely apart (without losing your mind) in order to use bleach to clean it between uses or when being stored.

Try rinsing out the foil bag that you fill with CrystalLight, shake all the water out of it, then blow into it to expand it as much as possible. Then fill it OVER THE SINK, careful not too squeeze it at all, and install it OVER THE SINK also being careful not to squeeze it on install and make the staining liquid go everywhere (ask me how I know 😞)

I literally just bought a cirkul today and I used the LifeSip Honeycrisp Apple. I think it was about 3 full bottles and I ran out I think either almost emptied on the 3rd or at the start on the 4th :/. Is it just cause some run out quicker or is it a scam it lasts for 6 refills?
Honestly. I've been doing this for a while. My tip is to refill about 4 times. This is equal to 16 bottle water refills. Then toss the cartridge. Like everything these things do get worn out and nasty. After a while mold could grow because of the bacteria. Just use this to get a bang out your buck but don't make it a permanent thing or else you'll make yourself sick.
-Please Read Technically, you're taking the away the purpose of the use of Cirkul for it to be a healthier alternative to the mini squeeze bottles of sugar, soda, and juices you usually drink. I DO understand the point of wasting plastic and how important it is to reuse. The cartilages are around three dollars to four dollars. No different from that little bottle of squeeze flavoring. All you're doing is just drinking the same sugar you been drinking but disguising it as your version of "easy and healthy." The purpose of Cirkul is to enjoy your favorite flavors while still completely drinking water and NOT have the calories and sugar of regular drinks BESIDES water. For all that, you might as well use Air Up and pour the squeeze in it. (P.S. I think it's a great idea to do.)

Why even refill the cirkul with new flavoring if you can just take these liquid flavor pouches your using to refill the thing in the first place, and a regular reusable water bottle?
Any liquid water enhancer and some people are making their own liquid water enhancers from powder enhancers. They just make a concentrated solution and put it in the bag.
I don’t get the point? The flavors that you can buy from Cirkul are way better and they have way more flavors then you can buy at a store. Also why would you put that flavor in the Cirkul cartage when you could just put the flavoring in a water bottle like your supposed to. Finally one of the selling points of Cirkul is that it has no coloring or sugar and adding that kind of defeats the point.
That's a simple fix: just buy cartridges from Cirkul then. The point would be the ability to change the level of flavoring you have (vs flavoring an entire bottle of water) or just drink plain water like you can with unmodified Cirkul cartridges. Liquid water enhancers at the store are also all sugar free and some have caffeine. My Walmart has 24 enhancer options, 19 of them being different flavors so I'm really not sure what part you don't get. 🤷
@@graciepuppy7368 Well this video is not for you. I bought 5 pure sips over 20.00 with shipping and they tasted nothing like they are supposed to. I am not picky, but they tasted like burnt potpourri. So I refilled with a sugar free, no coloring liquid drink mix, at least I won't just throw those away, and I still can drink straight water if I want from the bottle. I was really dissappointed with the pure sips and would not recommend them, the others I have tried was fine, but those where awful.
A great tutorial! I refilled with this hack and yea it works! I also put my circulation top on my takeya and thermoflask water bottles because o wanted my water cold and insulated!
From what research I did you can refill at least twice from a bottle of water enhancer depending on the size of the bottle, if the bottle is a little bigger than you may be able to refill about 4 times which is quite the savings. As you're not paying about 4 bucks after tax every 4-6 fills of your bottle, you're stretching that out to every 8 to 12 or maybe more depending on how fast you go through it.
I've found that it's pretty on par with the original cartridges. Of course if you're going to have it dialed all the way up it's going to last shorter and if you dial it way down it will last longer.
Cirkul Life, Go, Gateway, Frosted, Fission, Flyte, Squeeze Lemonade, and Fit Sips are sweetened with Sucralose. Stage and Verda are Stevia sweetened only. Stur liquid water enhancers (stevia sweetened, available at Walmart) are $3.28 for 1.62oz. ($2.02/oz). Cirkul is $3.75 for 0.68oz ($5.51/oz). There are plenty of locally available liquid water enhancers that are dye-free, natural flavor/sweeteners (Stur) and NO LIQUID WATER ENHANCERS CONTAIN SUGAR. Not one single brand. $2.02 vs $5.51/oz is a big price difference

@@angelicawalley they are extremely difficult to disassemble/reassemble in order to clean. My suggestion is to use it daily to prevent mold from forming. If you go a while without using it just start with the new fresh one. The problem is in order to pass something like bleach water through the tip to clean it you would literally need to suck it through. I'm a dental hygienist and we do use medical grade bleach-based oral rinses, so getting some bleach into your mouth- as much as your body's going to scream at you that you're doing something terrible- is not going to cause you harm if you do not swallow it. So I guess my other suggestion would be to put bleach water in your cup and suck and spit several times. Then trade out for clean fresh water and suck and spit several times. Certainly not ideal. You can attempt to disassemble one yourself, which I've done, but it really isn't fun.

Gave me the idea to use a funnel. I inserted the lid on an icing bottle into the hole in the tube top. Worked great, thanks for the suggestion.
Yeah, I really don’t know what Cirkul was thinking where they develop a pretty good idea that is too eliminate using plastic bottles to turn around and have to throw out good nozzles and tops every 3-5 refills. I believe the purpose is to eliminate plastic, this just causes us to throw out the tops instead. They should have built the plastic insert that covers the bag to screw into the top and have a rubber seal like we have for water filters in a fridge or make those screw in as well. This way, the only waste is the bag itself which they could sell in packs of 10-20 at a cheaper cost and not 3.50 per top that contains 1 bag, which barely gets me 3 refills. Over time, they would make more profit with occasional sales of tops (like every 100 refills) and their flavors. They also need a bit narrower & longer bag to hold a bit more flavoring. I think there have been many who have bought these then stopped using them because of their cost & waste…changing the bag/cover would solve that issue. And make the main cost just purchasing their flavorings; which more can afford.

I have a few Cirkul bottles. I've done this for awhile. I would suggest not refilling more than just a few times. Even though you rinse the parts, you can still get bacteria forming on them. Personally, I will use a new Sip every other refill. Thats just me. I have refilled more in the past but settled on my new pattern just for convenience. Also, i use the butt end of the butter knife instead of the blade. It doesn't flex as much as the blade. I will also go above the top ring to pry. It's worked better for me, but whatever works for you is best.
I use this hack mainly because spending $3.50 for every 10 bottles is a little extreme for me. I drink 2 bottles a day so thats $3.50 every 5 days which isnt ideal. I use the walmart brand flavour squeeze thing (like a mio) and can get three refills for $4 in a Cirkul sip pouch.
When refilling, i usually just blow air into it and then fill
I love circul but can't afford sipps, i get at best almost 2 32oz. 64 oz at 3.75 is just to high, to make it work id need to get 4 32oz bottles per sipp, I run around 5 on the dial.

In my experience it seems equal. It's all dependent on what you have the flavor dial set to.

The way the flavor works it requires suction inside the bottle however, after about three sips, you can no longer get water out so you have to open the lid to let air in this is true to every bottle they have if they could fix that it would be a great product
There's a little hole in the cap and on the bottom There's a silicone piece
I stuck a guitar string through there and wiggled it around and that fixed it
If you cut a small slit into the rubber air hole gasket, a very small slit, it will work without having to unscrew it to let air through.
So.. I wasn't the only one with this issue. Good to know.

For $58 and a spare lid for $32 (from their site, $43/$35 from Amazon). It's really cool that something like Infuze exists but I think the point of this hack is for people to save money

@@gamerhamster2555 I would love to see this, Imagine all the material they would be saving too if you could just get the little mylar bag of flavoring to snap in. I like the idea they had but although the startup pack isnt a bad price it gets sorta expensive if you keep going after. Dollar stores or Pop Shelf often have the little squirt bottle flavors for a buck and you can get like 2 refills from them.
This isn't technically reusable for long term. That foil baggie will eventually wear out. It might be a year, 2 or 3 but it will eventually deteriorate enough it would begin leaking.

Tried cirkul years ago but wasnt a fan of having to toss nozzle after nozzle. Wish I found this video back then. Was there any residual flavor or flavor crossing the first time you refilled it despite giving it a rinse?
Great question! The little bag is made of foil I think, and no taste remains if you drizzle a little water in the empty bag, plug it with your thumb, shake, and drain it (repeat until it runs clear, 2x normally does the trick).

I just opened 5 separate pure sips, and was so disappointed, I am not picky at all and none of them tasted like what they where suppose to. I tried pure sip lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, tangerine. I get they have no sweetener but peach and pear tasted like potpourri. I liked the peach mango in reg, and the orange tangerine in fit sip and the white cherry in fit sip was ok. I love infused water with lemon, but the pure sip tasted nothing like lemon. So now I guess I have alot of them that I can refill. Thank you for this video. Bc I really thought I wasted 20.00.

this is a interesting hack, but i'm not seeing the point. Why not just use the the flavor syrup you refilled the cartridge with to just mix it into your water? to wash the bottle less?

The point of this water bottle is to be able to control the LEVEL of flavor. You can make it light, intense, or turn it off to have just plain water.
If you add flavoring directly to your water then you're stuck with that level of flavoring for the day.
I’ve been using these for a few months now and can’t believe how fast they run out. I have the 42oz bottle and I can barely make it through one bottle. That makes it way to expensive. I’m going to try this hack and see if it works. I can’t afford $3.75 plus tax per bottle.

yea but dont the cartridges themselves have a bit of a tendency to get moldy if you re-use it for an extended period of time beyond the 5-10 days they recommend? I'm all for saving money and not having to buy tons of cartridges (expensive, bad for the environment, etc...) but how would one keep mold from growing considering the cartridge is pretty much wet all the time? I would assume cleaning it with soap/water wouldn't be the best thing to do considering you'd have a hard time getting all of the soap out of it before re-using it to drink.

If you dial the top to “x” you can pop the top off and unscrew the nipple… use a syringe (preferably with a plastic tip so as not to puncture the bag) and refill that way… no muss, no fuss. I have yet to try it, but it’s almost the exact same method while eliminating the likelihood of a mess putting it back together.
Genius! This works FANTASTIC for cleaning but the hole for refill is far too tiny and probably has a larger likelihood of making a mess because the same small hole that you would have to feed the refill into would also need to displace air during filling, so like you said a syringe would be absolutely necessary to accomplish this. Heads up to anyone reading: once you pop off the top (using the same butter knife technique you see in the video) beware that the nipple that needs to be unscrewed is reverse threaded. Using Kevin's method will allow you to thoroughly clean the entire assembly keeping it mold free!
Since posting this, I have tried both methods... the method in the video is by FAR easier and less hassle... just be aware of the two prongs on either side that clip into the slots... I ruined my first flavor pod due to this.
@@kevinwilliams9661 My way is by far easier to fill the flavor reservoir but your way is seemingly the only way to take the canister completely apart (without losing your mind) in order to use bleach to clean it between uses or when being stored.

Fantastic tutorial, but is there a reason my CrystalLight refills only last a day? I keep my bottle dialed between 4-6
Try rinsing out the foil bag that you fill with CrystalLight, shake all the water out of it, then blow into it to expand it as much as possible. Then fill it OVER THE SINK, careful not too squeeze it at all, and install it OVER THE SINK also being careful not to squeeze it on install and make the staining liquid go everywhere (ask me how I know 😞)
I’ve done all that, but it seems to die out a lot quicker than the original mix.

I literally just bought a cirkul today and I used the LifeSip Honeycrisp Apple. I think it was about 3 full bottles and I ran out I think either almost emptied on the 3rd or at the start on the 4th :/. Is it just cause some run out quicker or is it a scam it lasts for 6 refills?
It's only meant to last six refills at a certain flavor level, it states what level on their website Edit: I think it's level 4

Honestly. I've been doing this for a while.
My tip is to refill about 4 times. This is equal to 16 bottle water refills. Then toss the cartridge.
Like everything these things do get worn out and nasty. After a while mold could grow because of the bacteria. Just use this to get a bang out your buck but don't make it a permanent thing or else you'll make yourself sick.

Technically, you're taking the away the purpose of the use of Cirkul for it to be a healthier alternative to the mini squeeze bottles of sugar, soda, and juices you usually drink. I DO understand the point of wasting plastic and how important it is to reuse. The cartilages are around three dollars to four dollars. No different from that little bottle of squeeze flavoring. All you're doing is just drinking the same sugar you been drinking but disguising it as your version of "easy and healthy." The purpose of Cirkul is to enjoy your favorite flavors while still completely drinking water and NOT have the calories and sugar of regular drinks BESIDES water. For all that, you might as well use Air Up and pour the squeeze in it.
(P.S. I think it's a great idea to do.)
I challenge you to fine ONE SINGLE liquid water enhancer that contains actual sugar. One. See the pinned comment - it covers all of your concerns (including the cost savings broken down by ounces, which is a significant savings).
Furthermore LifeSip, FitSip, GoSip, Gateway, Sabrocita, InFlow, Flyte, Squeeze Lemonade, Fission, Frosted Refreshers, and Frosted contain Sucralose as a sweetener. Only WildSplash, Versa, and Stage Hydration are stevia sweetened (again, you can find dye-free and stevia or monk fruit sweetened liquid water enhancers in stores and online, I even list brands in the pinned comment for you). PureEssence is the only unsweetened cartridge they offer.
Why even refill the cirkul with new flavoring if you can just take these liquid flavor pouches your using to refill the thing in the first place, and a regular reusable water bottle?

I don’t get the point? The flavors that you can buy from Cirkul are way better and they have way more flavors then you can buy at a store. Also why would you put that flavor in the Cirkul cartage when you could just put the flavoring in a water bottle like your supposed to. Finally one of the selling points of Cirkul is that it has no coloring or sugar and adding that kind of defeats the point.
That's a simple fix: just buy cartridges from Cirkul then. The point would be the ability to change the level of flavoring you have (vs flavoring an entire bottle of water) or just drink plain water like you can with unmodified Cirkul cartridges.
Liquid water enhancers at the store are also all sugar free and some have caffeine. My Walmart has 24 enhancer options, 19 of them being different flavors so I'm really not sure what part you don't get. 🤷

@@graciepuppy7368 Well this video is not for you. I bought 5 pure sips over 20.00 with shipping and they tasted nothing like they are supposed to. I am not picky, but they tasted like burnt potpourri. So I refilled with a sugar free, no coloring liquid drink mix, at least I won't just throw those away, and I still can drink straight water if I want from the bottle. I was really dissappointed with the pure sips and would not recommend them, the others I have tried was fine, but those where awful.

One pouch, in my experience, does not take an entire bottle
From what research I did you can refill at least twice from a bottle of water enhancer depending on the size of the bottle, if the bottle is a little bigger than you may be able to refill about 4 times which is quite the savings. As you're not paying about 4 bucks after tax every 4-6 fills of your bottle, you're stretching that out to every 8 to 12 or maybe more depending on how fast you go through it.

I've found that it's pretty on par with the original cartridges. Of course if you're going to have it dialed all the way up it's going to last shorter and if you dial it way down it will last longer.

Cirkul Life, Go, Gateway, Frosted, Fission, Flyte, Squeeze Lemonade, and Fit Sips are sweetened with Sucralose. Stage and Verda are Stevia sweetened only.
Stur liquid water enhancers (stevia sweetened, available at Walmart) are $3.28 for 1.62oz. ($2.02/oz). Cirkul is $3.75 for 0.68oz ($5.51/oz).
There are plenty of locally available liquid water enhancers that are dye-free, natural flavor/sweeteners (Stur) and NO LIQUID WATER ENHANCERS CONTAIN SUGAR. Not one single brand. $2.02 vs $5.51/oz is a big price difference
