Starship with Mickey Thomas - Fooled Around and Fell In Love (Feb 8, 2024 - Fremont Experience, LV)

Starship appeared on stage at the Las Vegas Fremont Experience as part of the Excessive Celebration Superbowl Bash on February 8, 2024. He surprised everyone, during an audience request, when he sang "Fooled Around And Fell In Love" that was a hit for the Elvin Bishop Band in 1976, when he was invited to sing lead on this classic. This song was part of my soundtrack and I was so happy to hear him sing it. In case you don't know about this song, it reached #3 on the Billboard charts. It has since appeared in many movie soundtracks including GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, BOOGIE NIGHTS and HAROLD & KUMAR ESCAPE FROM GUANTANAMO BAY, just to name a few.

At least you know he isn't lip syncing. Still has great upper range, but it sounded off key at times. Maybe it was hard to hear himself that well during this show. Normally his pitch is better. He seemed to be overdoing it with the high notes here as well.
