I still like his 62 pts in 3 quarters vs dallas who made the finals, clutch as fuck scoring 65 in ot, 56 pts in 34 min., 61 at the garden, 60 at memphis, his 9 game streak with 40 or more, 52 vs utah with like 12 straight fgs without missing, and 81 pts about equally as much.

Yea he did. He had a 56.8% usage rate that game and we get upset when Embiid and Luka post a 37% usage rate in games.
Even when Luka scored his 73, he had a usage rate of 42.2% which was far below Kobe's.

Kobe's career isn't over, the story is still developing. Jordan needed overtime for both of his 60 point games I believe, not to mention the 63 was in a losing effort. Besides, Kobe scored 62 against a rather good mavericks team in 3 quarters.
Actually MJ scored over 60 against the Blazers in the finals and they took him for the game in the second half.

A lot of Kobe's points came in the second half as he was trying to bring his team back into the game. That season Kobe pretty much was LA's offense and he was in the prime of his talent and physical prowess. If he had been more aggressive about scoring in the first half and kept up that pace he could've possibly made it to 100 though it still would've been tough.

Lol the people who say he was hogging the ball, yes before he became a team leader was a ball hog, This was way after that, clearly you didn't watch the game, this video shows his points not his assists. His team was down by 25 and he single handedly brought them back and won the game for, One of the most amazing performances in the history of the game.
The most impressive thing about that is that until the middle of the 4th quarter Kobe's scoring was well within the flow of the game. The Lakers were down and obviously having an off night and without a huge scoring night from Kobe they likely lose that game. Of course the last 10-15 points were about feeding him and padding the stats with the game within hand. Still a great and historic performance though.

the reason why kobe had so many points is because instead of doing double coverage on kobe Toronto decided to do one man so he had no one to pass to and had to do it all himself.
