I need a Saab 95 EV, the added space of the estatewagon would make room for a few extra batterys in the rear where the fueltank and third seat was, and it would balance out the weight nicely.
Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had '73 96v4 when i was in college. AND, unrelated to SAABs - that Donald Byrd track made my day!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn that was awesome. Big Smiles here in Boston! Thanks.
check out the charging chord hanging off the right side of the charging station. they all offer 240, i was just feeling pretty lucky to find a 120v as i'm not set up with the new standard EV plug yet. :) nice to have options!
great question! pretty close to 50,000 miles on those same CALBs. (60k miles including the years with the lead-acid pack). still doing about 120 highway miles range per charge at conservative speeds. 3.5-hr charge time. catch me at info@ampREVOLT.com if more Qs. happy to share.
Cheers, the car is now at 73,000 e-miles! 2009-2011, 17 kWh of lead acid ~1000 lbs 2011-2017, 34 kWh of LiFePO4 prismatics ~ 725 lbs (when this video was made) 2017-present, 40 kWh of LiFePO4 prismatics ~ 900 lbs Considering version 4.0 now: I could swap out this pack for a Tesla pack, get 85 kWh (300-400 miles range) and would still be 900 lbs. This is the type of work we're doing now - fun times!
@@sockosockosocko that's super exciting. One of the fun things with EV conversions I guess, that especially the batteries evolve so quickly so a few years later it's twice the performance. Thanks for the info!! 👍

Fantastic work. :-) As both a SAAB fan and an electric car fan, I give you my honest applause.

timeless design
That's one NICE car! Kudos to you.
5 years later.. those batteries are yet working good ? other question... what can be improved now on this EV?
