Sorin, I have to thank you twice. First for finally clear explanation of functions of semiconductors and circuit boards. I graduated from high school of electronics and learned nothing. Second BIGGER THANKS is for seeing you doing mistakes and posting it and seeing you that even you, MASTER of REPAIRS, is not always able to fix every fault. That gives me a joyce of skill pride.
That video made me laugh, thanks Sorin for entertaining us. It would have been boring watching you change that cap so good that you replaced it off-camera. 😂
You really deserve more. This video woke me up to a lot of things. Thank you for everything you do without expecting anything in return from us, apart from giving your all so that we can understand the essentials. Thank you once again
I enjoyed this video...I had alot of fun with all the excitement and knowledgeable dialog....in the end it was a fix and a satisfied customer...great job
Dear Sorin: You are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!. In the last months I have received laptops impossible to repair, due to a shorted CPU or bridge (I mean, Intel chips). Yesterday, I received 3 machines (1 Dell, 2 Asus...these were the exact model!), and the three had shorted CPUs or chipset. I think this is a shit from Intel (specially with the chips like the one in this video, the one with the metallic bracket around). Thanks for yor simpathy!.
That capacitor was taking those amps like a champ and refused to tap out haha. I imagnie little things like blowing it up is sweet revenge for all the headaches you get. Great fix :)
of course Mr.Sorin is pro he knows where to check just with sight and where to inject proper calibrated voltage and thermal camera makes it's magic.Thats the solution.the only capacitor neds to be replaced is on frequency circuits not else.thank you for the video was so funny
Hi Sorin, I have a similar Toshiba C50 on my channel, same fail on 5V rail and same capacitor - it must be "dodgy" as you say yourself. There were visual signs of failure with the one I had so it was easier.
You are the master. I think you will need to put liquid metal on every fixed laptop to shut down the termal paste complain. And I really love it when you never replace capacitors 😂😂😂 less capacitors less components to fall. Thanks for the content
(12:05 ‒ 12:07) Sorin, don't even think about traveling to Japan (you are worse than the Fukushima tsunami) and before you descend five steps from the plane's stairs you will be arrested. All the best.
Hello there. Very good videos, a lot information. Im gona buy new laptop. Its going to be plugged in always. If i remove the battery will anything happen? like slowing down? Thanks.
Hello Sorin, good work keep it up. We have exactly same laptop working fine with ac adapter but battery is not charging showing 0% available (plugged in) replaced new battery no joy. Voltages on battery connector is pin 1,2,3 and 4 is 0.886, pin 5 is 3.3, pin 6 is 3.3 and pin 7 is 0.144. On the other hand have 3.3v, 5v and 12v are present - Any advice will be appreciate.
That's how I feel all the time. What's wrong with me that I receive repairs that are blown pch every single time. I have a sledge hammer and I smash up boards that have bad CPU pch . Makes me feel a bit better.
i bet he replaced it...... 😏 but the "chipset" you were talking about was the CPU... the nothbridge is probably on the other side of the board or under the RAM module...
When I was watching this video somewhere at the middle of it, when you used the voltage injection method and I saw the voltage drop current draw relation a.k.a a low resistance value on the power supply I bet there is a shorted capacitor somewhere as you tought us in one of your videos and at the end of the vid you confirmed it...I remember you revealed your secret method of fault finding in one of you videos, I think this was the video ua-cam.com/video/GfXx7OC_scQ/v-deo.html If you understood that video you can understand and identify quickly this kind of fault too. Thank you Sorin, you're a good teacher with lot of knowledge and a lot of background experience/practice...by the way sharing is carying :)
Sorin is the only content creator in youtube who can listen or hear his viewer through the screen,`i can`t` belive`.🤣🤣😂🤣🤣

finally a video of the dentist pulling out the teeth 🥰🥰🥰🥰 with the appropriate tools
sorin the dentist is back
I promise, I will blow the whole board, I will make here Chernobyl! Its hillarious!!!😂😂😂😂😂 I am dead 😂
You really deserve more. This video woke me up to a lot of things. Thank you for everything you do without expecting anything in return from us, apart from giving your all so that we can understand the essentials. Thank you once again
Mi-a plăcut cum ați scos acea piesa cu patentul , ca la dentist ! Nice

Nice revenge on that cap with pliers LOL
I like Sorin's shorted capacitor removal tool!
Yes,two pipes and need just twist 😂
best tools to fix a laptop, pliers and a hammer.
@oak1998: I loved it too but unfortunately the "specialized handling training" offered only by NASA is too expensive.

Great Fix Sorin. I always have pleasure watching your videos - really great Sorin - Big Thanks
That capacitor was taking those amps like a champ and refused to tap out haha. I imagnie little things like blowing it up is sweet revenge for all the headaches you get. Great fix :)
Nice to see you si happy
Sorin was like: It will be Chernobyl here on this board :D, il blow all the board, only for revenge :)))).
Nice job!
of course u will replace it!!...how dare someone to ask about?^^
Thanks for the video. Always learning.
Grand Master Sorin always a pleasure enjoying your videos
Best teacher ever ❤
of course Mr.Sorin is pro he knows where to check just with sight and where to inject proper calibrated voltage and thermal camera makes it's magic.Thats the solution.the only capacitor neds to be replaced is on frequency circuits not else.thank you for the video was so funny
No time for soldering iron! Instead, use tooth removing tool >D
I thought he was going to take out a chainsaw, but he only took pliers 😂
I believe he sold his soldering station recently. 🤗 Doesn't need it anymore 😅
You can see here mystery , suspence , investigation , surpize plot and endings :)
nice job Sorin
Thanks for the info nice find 5v capacitor can’t believe
Thanks for sharing your repairs. 👍🙌
Thank you for sharing your expertise.

Sorin always replace the capacitors but only God knows 😂.
Am laughing my ass off here, great work anyhow! Love it ! Proper calibrated cap!
Hahaha "" will be like little Chernobyl "" you killing me Sorin.
So new career...
"""Stand up Sorin"""
LOL It's a CAPACITOR, ohhh you try to trick me, "rips it off the board with pliers" hahahah, love it.
proper calibrated extraction.
I've heard of the dog whisperer, but Sorin IS the laptop whisperer!
You are the master. I think you will need to put liquid metal on every fixed laptop to shut down the termal paste complain. And I really love it when you never replace capacitors 😂😂😂 less capacitors less components to fall. Thanks for the content
"Of course, I will replace the capacitor & the tape", yeah right! 😇🤣😂
Thank You Maestro
Good job Sorin !
Another great job Sorin as always Thanks
(12:05 ‒ 12:07) Sorin, don't even think about traveling to Japan (you are worse than the Fukushima tsunami) and before you descend five steps from the plane's stairs you will be arrested. All the best.
Love your videos. Thanks
4:52 "ok that sucks....proper sucks" 🤣
Hello there. Very good videos, a lot information.

replacing caps and thermal paste is fans only content, cant blame the player blame the game ;)
You're a good man Sorin. I like it when you want a revenge by exploding something baddly 😂😂😂😂😂
That's how I feel all the time. What's wrong with me that I receive repairs that are blown pch every single time. I have a sledge hammer and I smash up boards that have bad CPU pch . Makes me feel a bit better.
Learned from you to always check the 19, 5 and 3.3. Still taking shortcuts....😅😅
You forgot the capacitor.....
Only joking, quality as ever.
Good job mate 👍
good work sir
tanks sorin
15:38 - Speaking about revenge, Capacitors strike back xD
Fantastic job. Thats the sorin I remember 😂
No caps, No short...😊
All hail to thermal cam also...😊
i need to more explain about pull up resistor in power switch, i can't find that video
It's FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE!!!
Goodness. How you spotted shorted cap when you're giving amp. on it. You broke the jinx
yea hurra we did it!!!!!! ehhhh jejejeje+++++
Nice one 🎉🎉
Very funny video 😂 Thank you
"Of course i will change the capacitor, what do you think?" -- Master Sorin
i bet he replaced it...... 😏
but the "chipset" you were talking about was the CPU... the nothbridge is probably on the other side of the board or under the RAM module...
Sorin has a invisible drawer
And inside there are invisible replacement capacitors
He has also a drawer full of wir... fuses, full of properly calibrated fuses.
fixed by pliers, good job 💪
Chciałbym mieć takie proste naprawy.
Why you want replace the capacitor this time?
That was good
from now on, I use pliers to remove the smd components😮
you u are a pro and i am learning from you :D thx for all video sorin . .2e try LOL
I like it when Mr Sorin laughs ha ha ha hhaaaaa...
Customer wrote “power on”
He means you power it on for me
Should get a magnet GND probe so it sticks to steel easily/quickly - lol -.
When I seen 0.8 ohm on the coil, I knew that is a bad cap somewere
U are the best
💙

Thank you Sorin, you're a good teacher with lot of knowledge and a lot of background experience/practice...by the way sharing is carying :)
You didn't replace the thermal paste.
🤟
Not only capasitor, you need to replace the thermal paste too. ;)
Hey, of corse .... replaced. I lowe it 🙂
This devices must call "Capatitors" not something else,....this devices has a big capacitances to breaks down,...
Without a donor board or schematic, how do you know what capacitor value to replace?
He wont replace it... thats the whole joke. You dont have to replace one cap. It will run fine without it. Its just a smoothing cap.
@@fioficuucuffu4805 Ha! He's joking again? Aren't there situations where the cap isn't redundant and must be replaced? Thanks! :)
Wow...so rude..... :D
Generally you dont need to know exact value of such capacitor. Its like blocking/filtering capacitor for its power rail, usually 5-10uF.
@@electronicsrepairschoolLOL :D
that was sooo ghetto, i love it lol
How life brings rapid changes, as if yesterday was the use of zippo petrol....now termal camera took the place....
What’s the name of that machine his holding by his hand to detect fault
we wanna see that CAP being replaced! just joking :)))
Hello sir I have an ATX I would love you help me with now I have no idea how to contact you...
maybe you know a good specialist in Ireland?? Please )
This type you hold the power button.
I will replace the cap later LooooL 😂
Mr Capacitor
Why do you have a laptop from another repair shop?
Evil Sorin
So what value was that capacitor lol.
Sorin you can't be a politician because you don't know how to lie, nobody believes that you are going to replace that capacitor 🤣😂
LOL stop the universe from complaining just replace the capacitor and thermal paste😂.
proper flex 😂
