Sorry to hear about your dad. Great video. People say I-Pace is not very efficient, but then neither is a high powered sports car and let’s face it this is a high powered car. I keep telling myself I’m going to drive very carefully to see how much range I can get, but you can’t help the odd 0 to 60 that’s why you got the car. I love it.
Total agree it’s do cheap to charge up why not use the power and have the fun while we can. Enjoy life. Thanks for your words stay safe. 👍
To add to your corrections (!) ... energy in the battery, and that you've regenerated, has units kWh which is pronounced "kilowatt hour(s)" ... there's no "per" which would be written kW/h ... which wouldn't have a sensible meaning.
Sorry for the loss of our dad. I enjoyed your video, the I-Pace is a great car but your model makes my 68 model SE look positively ancient.
Thankyou 👍👍🙏
Each bar is a second? Sorry for the loss of your Dad. I can't believe it's been 15 years since my Dad died.
Thanks buddy. they say time fly's but is also a healer. what a year this has been.
Sorry about your dad. Good video thanks 🙏
Thanx for the video. Your Dad looks like a great wonderful warm friendly man, his face shows no worries just peace and calm 👍👍
Love your comment, thank you very much. He was a great man. 👌👍👍
Sorry for your loss brother ! He must be really happy with you wherever he is. Love from india!
Thanks for the kind Words 🙏👍
The size of your wheels has an impact on your range also. 18" = 260 miles / 20" = 240 miles / 22" = 190 miles.
i thought bigger wheels with slimmer tyre wall will rolls more and less resistance so more miles?
@@borinvlogs I read on the forums that the bigger wheels cost you range getting up to speed, so stop start driving is inefficient, but if you’re doing a steady speed they are equally efficient (but look better!)
As a new I-Pace driver, I found your video to be extremely helpful. Thank you for posting it.
Really pleased it helped you out. 👍👍
Sorry about your dad, prayers for your family. Thanks for the great video. Keep them up!
Thank you for your kind words
Sorry for loss, your happy memories and respect for him will help you through your grief hopefully.
Thanks so much 👍🙏
260 mile range from a 90kWh battery is pretty poor. Is it possible to get more range with more efficient driving?
That’s all it gives and at the time of the recording I was getting electric for 4p per Kw 👍👍
So sorry to hear about your dad. I also lost my dad in August this year. Keep up the videos 👍
Thanks buddy for your nice words 👍👍 sorry to hear about your dad.
sorry for your lost mate
Thank you, that's very kind of you.
Hi. Nice video, but a sad story of your dad. I suppose you have the new 3 phase onboard charger in your I- pace. (We purcased an ev 320 last week). When i look to all the youtube video's that have been made of the i peace. It is for 90% about performance and compare it to Tesla's. But what you really want is a good driving and relaible car with an exeptable range.
In this new set up the I-pace will attract more new customers, and makes the resell price much better than the old i-Pace equipped with the old 1 phase charger. But they should have done that 2 years ago. Now a huge amount of new EV's are attacking the market and Jaguar will get a hard time But by far the Jag has still the nicest interior of all EV's. Keep posting about the range due the season. And after all enjoy your Jag!
Thanks for the comment great feed back 👍
Excellent review, and sorry to hear about the loss of your dad.
I am thinking about changing my Tesla Model 3 for a MY21 ipace.
The brochure claims the car can charge at 100-150kw but a lot of owners seem to only get 80kw even at low s.o.c. Not sure what power charger you were using in your video but 3h52 seems very slow for what seemed to be a fast charger.
Also, does 21MY have steering assist, whereby you get the green steering wheel icon on the dash and the car steers for you?
Yes the steering assist is standard on the HSE in the uk. You can turn it in and off. It was a 32kw charger and it was nearly flat they say with the 100 kw system you get 80% in 45 min 👍👍
@@RRW ah that good to know about steering assist still being there, some people are saying it has been removed on MY21 HSE! is steering assist good for hands free motorway driving? curious to know how it compare to tesla autopilot..
@@disinverted Why would you go from Tesla to Jaguar? I mean, it's a nice car, I test drove it multiple times myself and read a ton of other comments and opinions. But still, as a dedicated EV, Tesla hat lots of tricks up its sleeve. So what are the points that you're missing and hope to find in Jaguar?
@@pqvid tbh i was going to wait for the model Y to come out but now looks like that will be late 2021/early 2022 and it prob wont feel that diff to the M3 I have now. I think the iPace will feel better to drive with a more premium luxury interior, better sound insulation at and driving dynamics. In 15months of owning a Tesla I have only used superchargers about 5 times, 97% of my charging has been done at home on my 11kw wall charger, so the public charging superiority of the Tesla isnt that relevant for me.
@@disinverted I personally would not trust it for that 😬😬😬😢 I am not that brave but I will give ahi and report back 👍👍
Just another heads up/correction, you refer to kW/Hr which is a rate of using energy when you actually mean kWHr in terms of energy capacity. Great video though from a fellow JLR colleague!
Ah thanks 🙏
Almost (!) ... kW is a rate of using energy, i.e. power, so that's why we get the more complicated unit of kWh for the energy itself. kW/h has no real meaning (you've divided kWh by "square hours" to get to kW/h).
Duel carriageway? Pistols or swords?
Just discovered this video due to ordering an ipace recently. Sorry to hear about your dad mate. How powerful was that charger at the end? I’m not new to EVs so have some sort of idea but that charger must have been a slow one (or working slowly) for a near 4 hour charge time? You are using the CCS plug there so have thought it would be quicker?
Thanks for your comment. The charger at the end was a 25 kW charger. But since it has been made I have been using 50 to 100 kW charges and boy that has made the world a difference in the speed of charging.
Great videos, your dad would be proud 👍
Thanks you 🙏
I work at JLR to, at solihull
Just lost my dad too...well done for completing the task👍
Thanks buddy, stay positive it’s hard I know, but I find it’s easier thinking of all the good days 👍
Think in the future we will have to have a computer degree in order to drive a car
I know it’s a lot to remember 👍 merry Christmas 🎄
@@RRW ye don’t mind me I am a fossil I go back to time of the Morris minor
@@davidgreenwood5241 I love that, my other car is a 1977 mini 👍
@@davidgreenwood5241 no, you're right. I'm young and fairly savvy with tech but even I think some aspects of life are getting too reliant on electrics. I see the new S class has ruined itself chasing tech too.
Lovely car, but what a pity it can’t go 250+, or charge a bit quicker! Jaguar really need to upgrade it now.
It’s if having a big upgrade so I am told with the jaguar reimagine program 👍
Good and refreshing review
Thank you very much.
Does the adaptive does limiter apply the brake when entering a slow speed limit? It doesn’t on my 2018 disco sport, but a recent audi a6 courtesy car i had did slow the car down and it’s so nice to have that!
Yes I think I remember it doing that sadly I have a newer one and due to semiconductors shortages that option is not on my new car anymore👍
@@RRW thanks for the speedy response!
Thanks for the video, though I won't be getting PiviPro in my second hand 2018 model. What was the rating of your work charger to give you that charge time prediction? 25kW ??
Yes it was a 25kw charger 🤙
Thank you for the review, planning on buying a 2019 used one. Sorry for you loss.
The best of luck with the purchase. 👍👍
How would you rate the Pivi pro infotainment system, in comparison to other infotainmemnt systems.
Sorry to hear about your dad. May his should rest in peace!
Thanks buddy 👍
I managed 2.5m/kWh in 2deg C temperatures today driven briskly but within speed limits for an average of 25mph. That would have been around 210 miles to empty. In summer range is about 240 miles. Preconditioning is important. In open air at winter temperatures the I Pace needs four 30 sequential minute precondition cycles to get the battery up to temperature due to heat sinking. From a heated garage it’s possible to achieve 230 miles in winter, not too far off the range of a Model 3 in similar conditions up to 2020 model year. The new Model 3 has a heat pump which puts it 25 miles ahead of the I Pace. When it comes to quality and driving experience there is no competition as the I Pace is a truly exceptional car. It doesn’t have a fart machine or a fireplace of course, so there are compromises to be made.
Total agree it is a brilliant car I could get more out of it. Just started to use pre condition now and already making a difference. Great comment 👍👍👍👍 appreciate it.
Tyre wheel size?

Just watched your Great vid. Please accept my belated condolences.
Thanks you Steve 👍
Just watched your great video, and I’m sorry to hear about your dad . All the best
Thanks so much 🙏
Only just discovered your channel, thanks for the video, and so sorry to hear about your father
Very kind of you. 👊🏻
My shoulders and back feel pain when watching his far position while driving
😂 it’s not as bad as it looks. Fish eye lense 👍👍
Hiya loved your video do you work for Jaguar and how much is that car you were driving worth now in 2020.
£65k today yes I work in the retailer network🤙
Sorry for your loss. Your driving position looks very odd sitting very low with arms nearly outstretched
It’s the camera on the IPHONE ZOOMED OUT to try and open up the picture 😂👍👍👍👍
Sorry to learn of your Dad, mine left us 25 years ago. Can I ask why the 100% resulted in only 246 miles when JLR state almost 300?
I just put down the driving style and it has been really cold and also I’ve been demanding a lot of power whilst going uphill very short town driving a post a long distance driving,’ I have have better results since but I’ve had more motorway driving. Thanks for the comment 👍👍
@@RRW You're welcome and thank you!
Love this POV review :) #iPace
Does the 2020 jaguar have pivi pro or is it jst the 2021 model?
Sadly the 21MY onwards has Pivi Pro. 👍
@@RRW okey thx. Would not having pivi pro be a dealbreaker for you? How much better is it than the old system?
@@hasvik95 both systems are good, I would be happy with either, it’s just new. So a little faster. But it would not be a deal breaker for me. I love the IPace. 🤙🤙

Hello
I've never noticed the parking aid which let's you know whether you can fit into a space.
Do you have to be indicating for it to realise you want to park?
Cheers
That’s called park assist. This car did not have it as it was a cost option in the UK market. But it’s really good 👍 but to your question yes you would turn it on the car would then scan for a place depending what side you are indication on. It would then give you a tick ✅ on the display to say it can fit in the gap.
@@RRW hi thanks for that I have a 21 plate e-pace, I think it has park assit but don't remember it ever coming up on the dash regards parking, will look tonight
It might come up on the dash between the gauges. Good luck.
@@RRW hi again park assist is ticked on the pivi Pro but it doesn't come up with anything on the dash when I drive at slow speed indicating, wound hat the park assist is for??
Nice vide. Very informative. Sorry for your loss
Thank you very much 👍👍
So sorry for your loss and thank you for a really informative video.
Thankyou very much. Really appreciate your comment 🤙🤙👍
Brilliant description of the car
Thank you very much
There is no such thing as kW per hour.
You should check highway code, the maximum speed limit in the UK on any road, including dual carriageway is 60 mph max and 70 mph is only allowed on the motorway.
Ok, if it has a central reservation and it is two lanes or more it 70’. I also use traffic sign Recognition that’s in the car also tells me the recommended speed fitted by the manufacturer. 👍
