The IPace is my dream car. If I discover a benefactor now in my old age I will buy one. But till that happens I will stick to my little Chevrolet Bolt EUV. Yes I'm in the US
Hi Bobby, first time I’ve ever watched one of your videos, love your style, I’ll certainly watch others! My I-Pace is due in March, to replace my Tesla M3, really looking forward to it, I’ll let you know what I think!
Hi Robert! Thank you so much for taking the time to write your lovely comment. My channel is only in the early stages at the moment so it’s lovely to read nice things like this. Yes, please let me know how you get on when you get yours. 😊
I'd love an ipace, not in that colour, and would buy one over the German and Korean option. 186wh per mile, as an early 2car ev owner, that's not bad. My dad owned many jags in the 60and 70s, so I really miss and appreciate the luxury of a Jag. Big lottery win and straight to a Jag dealer's door.
yeah in theory it charges at 100 kW, when the battery has a temperature of 25 ° Celsius.(official on the Dutch Jaguar site, probably posted after too many drivers complaining about the issue of slow charging) It charges in real life at 50 kW at a 150 kW charger, ridiculous. Mine was one of the first on the road. Very good to drive but the charging at superchargers is way too slow in respect to current EV cars. Jaguar makes good cars but could do better in follow-up en modernizing /upgrading mid term. Also had some issues with 12 volt batteries twice and the parking actuator.
104kw on my MY21, which I have actually done with mine on road trips with Ionity chargers in France, if you start around 20% SOC. After 50%^ SOC it starts dropping off. Above 80% won't do more than 50kw.
Great review overall. As someone who has done 17k miles in one living with it longer term its the charging speed and UK charging infrastructure that now lets it down. But if you are mostly charging at home that isn't an issue.
17:40 I kinda did once accidentally a 4 wheel drifting in an iPace at an acceleration from 40 to 90km/h on a wide slippery corner. It was very controlled and stable, but the ESP acted a little late . In "Normal" mode it uses more like 60:40 power split, so the rear spins faster and makes it oversteer in corners. So I noticed that ECO or ADSR (winter) modes fix that, they use 50:50 power.
Great fun review but full of misinformation. It's a great car - go buy one - but check your facts first! Most egregious for me was saying that 11kW charging is helpful when charging overnight at home. Very very few homes in the UK have 3-phase power so will not have an 11kW charger. 7.2kW is normal and all models of the iPace can charge at that speed. It also won't charge 20-80% in 15 mins on a supercharger. Maybe 30-40 minutes is realistic. Anyway - go buy one. Very cheap second hand now and worth every penny. Just get a warranty. They're expensive to fix!
My iPace is a dream to drive, especially long road trips. Totally let down by poor after sales service and patronisinig dealerships that make out every issue with the car to be the customer's problems. So sadly, I can only advise avoid buying this great car, due to the near non existent after sales service.
Thanks for the comment Greg. Sorry to hear about the after sales service. I have actually experienced this from Jaguar too. Hopefully it improves soon. 👍
I-Pace courtesy car, WOW!!! Local Jag/LR dealership can’t spell EV or I-Pace. Guessing my I-PACE that’s been on order for nearly a year is their only new I-PACE sale, ever.
Ah yes I think you’re probably right Gordon. Thanks for your comment. Please consider subscribing to my channel as I have list of exciting new videos coming up very soon! All the best Bobby 😊
Is this an IPace "black" or does it have the "black pack" option only? I love this car and agree...best looking EV. Further, you are correct, most of the LUXE EVs like Porsche don't get much more than 250 miles anyway. It's plenty for everyday use.
Yes charging is the older tech but this thing handles much better than the Hyundai e-GMP platform based cars like the EV6. So it depends what you want.
The funniest thing... I saw one stuck on ice the other day. No snow just pure icy road Just sat there spinning away 🤣🤣 Not the first electric car I have seen stuck on ice.. It makes me giggle
Any car will struggle on pure ice unless fitted with spiked tyres. Even the Range Rover I used to own would slide sideways on ice. So not really that funny. Just saying
Love my I-Pace. It definitely feels like driving the future.
Thank you, what an amazing review. Incredibly well presented, proportionate and enjoyable to watch. Perfect.

Nice cheery review 👍 the fake buttons in the boot are hooks to hang shopping bags on by the way 😊
Thanks David 👍

I love this car - unfortunately they are almost unobtainable here in the US
Hopefully it will make it over there soon Richard ! 👍
Why not 4 wheel drifts? Its great at them 🙂
11kW charging is on 3-phase AC. It charges at 100kW max on a 100+kW charger DC

"fake switch" is just hooks for your shopping bags 🤷🏼♂️
I had to chuckle at this 🤣🤣
Can't stretch your legs in the back unless your a small child. Are there any EVs with adult back seats?
Nice video. You are so like Simon from @seenthroughglass
Thanks Benny
Yes, lots of people have said that !

“It’s literally using no charge at all”. I can assure you it literally is.

A simply superb vehicle

I think the slot in the back of the front seat looks like a mount for a monitor, iPad ,TV ?

All the best
Bobby 😊
It won’t keep up with a Tesla! Neither will most cars ?
Who cares, tesla's look like shit
It will unless it’s a plaid
It does need a grille to supply air to the heat exchanger....
Yeah that is the lower part. And the side curtain ones are to improve airflow over the wheels
Battery is not under the boot floor...
I'm with you regarding the black wheels. At first I wasn't fond of them, just as you, I thought wheels should be kind of a metallic look.
It’s amazing how they grow on you isn’t it Ty ? 👍
Thank you! Good review!!!!
Thanks Rocky! 👍
Good review thanks......debossed is the opposite of embossed.
Thanks Paul ! 😊👍
The battery isn't under the boot really - you could have shown the underboot storage. The Air Suspension models have the air compressor under the boot

Wait till they come out with a USB D
😂
Thank you for your reply I appreciate it Stuart
No problem. Thanks for watching my channel. Please consider subscribing 😊
saloon car,so right description!
Thanks Dr Ferdinand! 👍
What color is that Silver or Eiger?
Charging is very slow a 100kw, EV6 can charge at over 200kw. This car isn't worth the money at £74000 for the HSE
Yes charging is the older tech but this thing handles much better than the Hyundai e-GMP platform based cars like the EV6. So it depends what you want.
Just try one, and then buy one 😊

Great review, don’t like the bad language.
Thanks for the feedback Stuart. I shall mind my language in future. 😊
They can’t make a 4 by 4 so why would you rely on this ? Follow your head not your heart! It will be a big mistake!
Why would you buy a car from a car company that’s certain to go bankrupt? Don’t buy a turkey, buy a Tesla! You will thank me one day?
Lease it. No problems
@@momurda6 I’ve owned a Range Rover and that was more than enough of a nightmare:)
