I'm glad this wasn't another "skinny jeans are out!" video, lol. Thanks for the tips! ❤
Hi Carol - Girrrlll....I'm still wearing my skinny jeans with boots! I don't care what the "Fashion Police" say about them being "out". NO other jean silloute works as well with tall winter boots :)
You are so kind! Thank you so much for the sweet shout out ❤. This is also a great video with some wonderful reminders about being honest with ourselves and our closest. Seems I end up needing to have this conversation with myself a few times of year 😂Thank you again Theresa! 🙏🏻❤️
awww...you are more welcome Lori! I think you do AMAZING videos and that the ladies can get some great tips from you as well :)
Great advice! Another thing about holding onto clothing for years is that the fabric may rot and fall apart when you try to wear it.
I bought two wool sweaters that I thought would be great addition to my wardrobe. They are so itchy on my sensitive skin. I tried wearing them with long sleeve shirt underneath but I still get itchy. Time to get rid of them.
You are SO right about that! If you dread wearing something or have to work to hard to "make it work", it needs to go. I have to remind myself of this also, especially if I spent a lot of money on a piece but never wear it.
love the curly pony! adorable! so much more "modern" than the sleek pony!!!
Great advice. I know these things can seem like common sense but idk about everyone else but sometimes I need a reminder. Thanks for reminding me to take care of myself first! 😊
Hi Theresa, I have so many things to donate. I have things I haven’t worn in 3-5 years, they still look new but if I haven’t worn them by now I NEVER WILL. I have retired and just don’t need work clothes anymore.
I am currently buying pieces to replace the comfy plaid shirts I have been wearing since 2020. I want to feel soft and feminine again.
I did exactly what you said when I retired from my office job. Held onto two of my Lauren blazers and although they are 15 years old, they still look fabulous. Great advice, appreciate your wise food for thought on looking our best with clothing! Well done!
I've even thrifted some wool Ralph Lauren & Talbots blazers because my waist & chest are bigger than when I was working full time. They are timeless classics.
Great tips Theresa. Wish you were standing over me telling me when I go through my closet😊❤
What time should I come over LOL. Thanks so much for watching and for your kind comments :)
That's exactly it. I helped a friend cull her dated items to make more closet space, now she keeps threatening to come over to my house & do the same.
Oh my! This video is for me today, especially about the suits and dressy business clothes. And the frumpy clothes. And the ones that looked amazing 10 years ago but not now 😂😂 Okay so the whole video is for me 🙈
Good subject…Clearing out my closet asap. I do have clothes that no longer work for me. Thank you for bringing this up.
I was thinking the same thing about donating dress clothes and shoes to one of the places that helps women get back in the workforce.
I love your ideas about donating to specific groups in need. You have a generous heart
Theresa, this video made my laugh .. I was cleaning and took a break . Holding on to bathing suits & pajamas I no longer wear. They are in my donation pile
Hi Theresa! It’s been awhile! This was all great advice! I totally hear you on the suits. I used to work in a very corporate environment in the 90’s and 2000’s and wore a suit every day/ Now I work part time and only 3 days a week, I wear dress pants for 2 of the days and jeans the 3rd/ I got rid of all but 2 or 3 of my suits years ago and I will be getting rid of the few I have left. They are just taking up space in my closet. Thanks, Theresa! Great video! ❤️
Theresa, that was a funny story about your swimsuit. Good advice about clothing that hasn't been worn in a year.
Thank you for your advice. It's very helpful!
#4. So much yes. I've saved jeans that didn't fit the same way after losing some weight. Yes, replacing items can become expensive, but I see the new pieces as a reward. There are so many affordable options for all budgets.
So true!
Great video - thanks for posting 😊
Will Teresa you would be proud of me because I'm on my second bag this year of getting rid of things that are way too big or like you said baggie I even threw away some shirts that were holy because I told myself you only need two shirts like that
Thank you for the tips Theresa.
Thanks Teresa!! ❤❤❤
I also donated the many formal dresses that I had to the prom donation collection group.
Hi Maureen - I bet they were so happy to get those formal dresses too!
Theresa, do you mind me asking what type of bra you wear or maybe doing a video on what you suggest? You always look so good when you wear sweaters! I'm eternally looking to buy the "perfect" bra for the "perfect" fit and look! Thanks! Love your channel!
Thanks so much for watching and for your thoughtful comments! This has been my "go to" bra for years now. It gives just the right amount of lift and smoothing under clothing amzn.to/48XVGsz
Loved your story - boy did I identify!
Great practical tips. If I follow each step I may be looking at an empty closet! 😊. Love your top!
Same! 😆 🤣 😂
Hi Theresa. These are ALL so true! If you need me I will be in my closet…under a pile of these items!
😂😅😂
Brand new subscriber here! As a Certified Bra Fitter for over 19 years, may I add any stained, stretched out bras and panties. I tell women I can make them look 10 lbs thinner and 10 years younger with a well fitting bra 😊
Hi Christine - thanks so much for watching and for your thoughtful comments. You are SPOT on about that!
I don't think I have those things in my closet. A few office type things but I do go in to the office twice a year.
👏👏👏👏👏
Theresa, the link to the top that you’re wearing doesn’t go to a top. Would you mind taking another look at the link, please. Thank you.
Hi Eileen - good catch! I think I just fixed it!
I recently gave away alot of clothes that don't fit.
I had on one of my favorite sweatshirts and my son said mom your shirt is stained. I threw it out.
😂😃😂
