@Nicoloismyfriend Well you got to understand that in thye USA, most black people follow black commedians because they feel that their styles of comedy relates to their everyday experiences. George Carlin and Robin Williams who are white have stand-up comic styles that reaches out well to all audiences, both black and white.
Bill Hicks said that. There's a video of him titled " bill hicks _ gays in the military". Not that I have anything against Carlin for saying it. Hicks is my fave english speaking comedian. I don't know many but i know when I hear one that's layers beyond "normal" comedy. Carlin is also one of those rare people. In france, there's a guy called Dieudonne who's an amazing comedian too and has been banned from hosting shows in theatres, so he bought a bus. Nobody can tell him what to say in his bus
@Jeffff23 Well you have to understand that due to the social and cultural divisions between blacks and whites in the USA, there are a lot of black people who only know about black comedians and not white comedians and visa versa. But if you listen to white comedians like Robin Williams or George Carlin, they do have styles of stand up comedy that relate to people regardless of colour.
@MomoTheBellyDancer i think he is talking about going out on the town - eg. if you are going out with 10 guys and 2 are gay, the 8 heteros are better off than if all were hetero
If you're comparing Robin and George on non-political material, they're neck and neck and there's a case for Robin having the advantage. But on politics it's no contest. George takes it by a mile. Robin's political humour is superficial and partisan (like Chris Rock's), while George saw right through the parties. I don't need a famous comedian to bash Republicans - everyone does that. George went beyond the parties to the heart of the problem - one that elections couldn't solve.
so in the 21st century..why do we not have unisex bathrooms in public....anything goes now...I'd rather have one bathroom for adults and one for kids..
@sheltv100 I think white people can relate to black comedians. The thing that bothers me about black comedians and even female comedians is that some use stereotypes to be funny. Their not doing the world any good by trying to make stereotypes seem true. Its old and unoriginal to me.
@sheltv100 Robin Williams has really no act, he just rams joke after joke after joke down your throat hoping you laugh and actually seems quite fragile, Geoge actually had a stage persona and a style of telling jokes carefully. Williams i great but he isn't in that section of "HOLY TRINITY", but again comparing a comedian to George is like comparing a band to The Beatles, The Stones, Zeppelin or Metallica, it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to outdo
Who said that?! That's like saying Bill Cosby is the funniest black comedian. That doesn't make sense. Yes Robin Williams is funny but not the funniest that's for sure!
Man I love and really miss that guy.
Well put as always George.
Joe Bless you!
Sexuality isn't a trend or fad. It's part of your physiology like height and eye color and it can't be changed

Some black people say that Robin Williams is the funniest white man. I beg to differ, it was George Carlin.

@sheltv100
WAS? I don't agree, I would say "Was and always will be."
Yes, a completely trashed economy, focused on Iraq instead of AQ... he was really terrific that Georgie boy.
Society needs a new 'more gays than lesbos' policy :D
@LichQueenKathie Yeah because women go to the military.
@FinallyTheNight interesting ^^
@surfer53

@TheDesperateHodges That's true, but let's hope that the hetero guys won't figure that out. lol

@sheltv100 Some black people? Why are you making that specification?
